Ma'am, when you fill-up the application for migration assessment there's a question whether you also want them to assess your credentials for membership. The same documents will be used for migration and membership assessment, including the IELTS Academic rating (at least 7 in all bands).

    18 Nov 2012 - IELTS Academic Exam (L-8.5; R-8.5; W-7; S-8; OBS-8)
19 Feb 2013 - General Accountant Assessment - Not suitable (Accounting Theory)
12 Mar 2013 - Assessment Review - Not suitable (Accounting Theory)
Change ANZSCO to External Auditor - CPA Australia
    15 Apr 2013 - External Auditor Assessment - Suitable
    19 Apr 2013 - Lodged EOI
05 May 2013 - Invitation to Apply for Visa (189)
08 May 2013 - Visa application and acknowledgement
    16 May 2013 - Medicals Exam
    23 May 2013 - NBI Clearance
31 May 2013 - CO allocated Brisbane GSM Team 31
    23 July 2013 - Singapore COC submitted
    24 July 2013 - Visa Approved (IED 20 May 2014)

hi @caylin, nung nagpamember kme last august, ang sabi lang naman samen e send copies of 100 points of identification and ung application form. we then paid thru credit card for the membership at assessment fees. tapos option mo kung gusto mo i-attach ung positive migration assessment letter. ung reference ID mo (987xxxx for me) is the same number na i-quote mo for all correspondence. they will check it. sa case namen ng wife ko, we did not attach any academic qualification and professional membership docs kasi recent assessment lang kme (wife's assessment-January).

kelan ka ba nagpa-assess for migration?

    Hi Guys!

I'm a newbie here. I find this forum very helpful.

I have questions po regarding the documents to be submitted to ICAA. I'm currently preparing for IELTS and collating all the required documents for ICAA migration assessment, at the same time. My question is very strict po ba ang ICAA when it comes to the submitted documents? I recently requested course outlines and syllabus of the specific accounting and finance subjects, fortunately my school has accomodated my request and was able to pick up the documents in just after a couple of days. However, I noticed that each copy that was given to me was already certified by our college dean (kaya pala napamahal ako). As per ICAA website:

The person/agent certifying your documents must confirm that they have seen and compared the original to the copy that they are certifying and that it is a true copy. The full name, address, signature and title of the person/agent certifying the documents must be included as part of the certification.

Accepted authorities for certifying documents in Australia:

Australian Chartered Accountant/Australian CPA (must include membership number)
    Australian embassy/consulate/high commission staff
University official (must include university stamp in addition to signature)
    Notary public
    Solicitor, legal practitioner, Magistrate
    Justice of the Peace
    Commissioner for declarations
    Commissioner for affidavits
    Commissioner of oaths
Migration agent, registered with the Migration Agents Registration Authority (must included registration number)
    Police office (in Australia only)
    Pharmacist (in Australia only)
    Postal Manager (in Australia only)

For overseas authorities please refer to the public notary within your country.

Please note that the Institute reserves the right to request original documentation if required or deemed necessary.

Based from the requirements above, notary public lang po ba ang pwede mag certify ng documents originating from countries outside Australia?

May naka experience na po ba dito na nagpa assess with ICAA na school dean or registrar po ang nag certify with positive results?

    Thank you!

@caylin, oo dagdag bayad. $315 total ko binayaran. $165 for half yr membership at $150 for assessment. pero nxt yr, $330 ang full yr membership. feeling ko no need to send all docs. kung gusto mo attached kna lng ng ctc nung positive migration assessment.

@Dayanski, ok lng na certified ng university kasi sila namn talaga ang gagawa nun, tsaka nde namn sila magrerelease ng original. dapat may dry seal ung syllabi. ung cpa licence (id and certificate) mo naman, prc ang mag-certify with doc stamps. tip lang, if sa ICAA ka pa-assess, chances are, dun ka na rin kukuha ng exams. kasi kung plan mo mag-cpa, CPAA dapat. if suddenly you change your mind, kelangan mo ulit magpasa ng same docs to CPAA. sa ICAA kasi chartered accountant ang designation. i believe the scheme to get the license for CA e may classroom discussion at group works on top of the exams. pero mas prestige ang CA kesa CPA when it comes to employment and career. kaya make sure to know what you want to get.

Anyone here who is a member of professional organization recognized by CPA Australia, tapos nagpamember sa CPA Australia via mutual recognition agreement?

Full-fledged Member kasi ako ng Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants ISCA (formerly Institute of CPAs in Singapore). May mutual recognition agreement between CPA Australia and ISCA

Gusto ko lang sana matanong kung associate ba or full fledged CPA membership ang ibibigay kung sakaling mag apply ako sa CPA Australia.

Yung nakalagay kasi sa application form na membership fee, if approved, is the same as the membership fee for full CPA.

    @pangrom0529 thanks.

yes, i need to pay membership fee separately for CPA Australia and ISCA, i agree.

Unfortunately, CPA Australia cannot advise by telephone or email whether or not an applicant is eligible for exemptions or membership. Nag email ako once, but they required me to submit a membership application.

Nagbabakasakali ako dito sa forum baka may same case sa akin.

    CPA (Australia)

@rolly04 oh I see. are you in Singapore now? if you are, you can drop by at their local office there and ask personally. un nga lng kasi ang haharap sau e nde namn ata assessor kaya cguro ang advice nila e mag-aapply kna lng at see what the membership adviser would say. goodluck!

I recently had my Skills and Work (Combined Assessment) assessed by ICAA and per status sa website nila Completed na kaso inaantay ko pa yung actual letter from them para makapag proceed ako ng EOI, granting positive ang outcome. I didn't know they send out a scanned copy na ngayon... Previously kasi when I saw in the online portal of CPAA that the results were already finalized, I called them up to ask for a scan copy. Unfortunately sabi they don't do that and I have no choice but to wait for the hard copy. This was more than a year ago.

    Thank you Sir @TasBurrFoot!

I also sent an inquiry sa Customer Service ng ICAA and sabi nila di sila nagpapadala ng result electronically kaya kelangan talaga to wait for the letter itself. For info na rin sa ibang naka experience or nagpapa assess tru ICAA.

Thank you! I am crossing my fingers na sana positive assessment and mabilis ang processing : )

I just realised (after sending the assessment docs) that I can apply and pay online pala and then send the supporting docs later. What we did is the mano-mano way, filled out the application form and then send everything to CPAA. Anyone here have done this? Were you contacted by CPAA upon receipt of docs or the assessment is completed?

    Maraming salamat!

Errr, di ko na gets ibig mo sabihin...

What we did was create a log-in sa CPA Australia and paid for the assessment; an hour later, we sent the paper documents to Melbourne... :) No confirmation was given to us that they have received the documents.

We did not create the log-in details. We filled out the form electronically then print it, tapos mail it together with the supporting docs.

I tried creating a log-in details kaso magbabayad pala, eh dun sa form na ni-fill out namin meron ng authorization form to charge our card. Baka madoble ang charging.
