@lock_code2004 : Thanks for the insight. Follow-up question lang po, if God willing maka-grant po 176 visa namin (myself, hubby and 9 year son), do we really need to enter OZ to satisy IED or pede din na ako na lang muna then balik sa Pinas? Thanks in advance.
good question @chiffonscarf .. actually di ko din alam ang sagot..
any one can answer that? salamat po,,
Main applicant + dependents must enter OZ on or before IED. Afterwhich you can all go back again the PH and come back to OZ when everything is already settled..

@jeffrey_craigslist - yes i guess kailangan ko din ang FBI, im thinking these strategies:

    a) kung 175 ang apply ko, kukuha ako ng fbi pag mga after 6 months na ang application ko sa DIAC..

    b) kung 176 ako - kukuha ako mga aftr 2-3 months (ex. apply ako May2012, so kukuha ako ng FBI starting July)

para just in time sa pag-assign ng CO..

For Visa 176, CO allocation is within maximum of 1 month..if it takes long to get the FBI cert then get it already or start processing already so it will not delay your application....
Ah maximum 1 month po ba? Kung sakali kukuha na lang kami siguro ulit ng FBI kung sakaling madelay ang pagsubmit namin. Ang goal ko sa pag submit ay June 1 para before mag July.

You dont need the FBI certificate upon visa application lodgement. So you may proceed even w/o it. You will need it once CO allocated kana with is usually (earliest) 1 week after lodgement up to a month after (the latest).

    Guys,
Sad news... 6.0 lang ako sa Reading. Di ko gets kung bakit pero I am pretty sure na tama yung mga sagot ko. Haaayyy...

I applied immediately for remarking for Reading. There is a slight chance daw na maging 7 yung grade ko kasi objective daw ang Reading. Anybody else who failed their Reading and pina-remark? Haayy.. Ang lake kong tao but I was teary eyed when I saw the results.

Ang plano ko ngayon ay magi-exam ako ulit, sa April 21.. tapos nagparegister na din ako sa May 12 para kung sakaling sablay ang April 21 meron pa din ako maagang schedule.

Magastos pero hinahabol ko kasi yung July deadline..

    Nalulungkot ako ngayon guys...

@jeffrey_craigslist Parang mahirap po ata sir magparemark kapag sa reading kasi nga objective type sya sir. Kasi twice po yung checking na ginagawa nila dyan. 2 ang checkers po for listening and reading. Anyway, good luck na lang po sa pagpaparemark. Basta pray lang and never lose hope sir.

Salamat sa inyo. Bale ang gagawin ko na lang ay ito:

    1) Nagparemark
    2) Magtitake ng test sa April 21
    3) Magtitake ng test sa May 12 (backup)

Pag OK ung remark cancel ko na yung April 21 and May 12 (which is slim chance nag)
Pag pasado sa April 21 cancel din agad May 21.

    Haay...

Nagself review ako eh. Pero dodoblehin ko na lang yung effort ulit. Imbis na 1 hour a day. 2-3 hours a day ang pare review ko at pagpractice.

Secondly, check other visa options that do not require a high IELTS score (ENS, Regional, Temporary Visa)...baka puwede rin kayo dun

    1) kung 60 ang score mo ngaun, why dont you apply for 176 -State Sponshorship, so magiging 60 + 5 (SS) = 65 total points..

    2) continue with your remarking
    3) re-take IELTS sa April 21 (as planned).

so habang naghihintay ka ng option2 and 3 above.. it will not hurt you to do option1...

Huwag po kayo mawalan ng pag-asa...I get the feeling you're pressured by that "July" change, but as I have mentioned several times in the forum, hindi dapat katakutan yung SkillSelect..baka nga mas pabor pa sa inyo yung ganung processing :)

This is a good option. Basta @jeffrey_craigslist tuloy lang po ang laban. Wag pong ma pressure to beat the deadline di ba sabi nila "Patience is the partner of wisdom" focus lang po sa review sa reading but wag nyo din kalimutan reviewhin yung ibang subtests baka todo focus ka sa reading e ma neglect muna yung ibang subtests. Accenture ba kayo sir? Just asking.

Reading comprehension is relatively tricky and has full of twists and turns. It does NOT test how well you have understood the passage. It tests specific skills called Scanning and Skimming, but if you know the techniques, you can say that it is the easiest among the subtests.

Since it is under time pressure, skip the passage/advertisement/story for a while. Jump directly to the questions, read it all thoroughly. Once you are through with reading all the questions, skim over the text and underline / mark important parts. You may even be able to answer some questions as you read. Then proceed to the first paragraph of the passage. Usually the first answer can be found immediately in the first two sentences. The answers are sequential, meaning the next answer has to be in the succeeding sentence - don't bother to read the previous sentences.

    True, False, Not Given

    # If the statement clearly appears in text – it is True
    # If the text clearly says the opposite of statement – it is False
    # If you didn’t find the statement to be True or False – it is Not Given

    For example:

“Smoking is dangerous and can lead to cancer” – T, F, NG

    1) If the text clearly says that “smoking is dangerous and leads to cancer” than the answer is T.

(the word dangerous may be substituted with HAZARDOUS or RISKY, is any synonyms). The answer is still T.

    2) If the text says that “No research showed evidence that smoking is dangerous and leads to cancer” than the answer is F.

    3) If the text says “The research included smoking people of both genders of ages 30 to 45″ and nothing else about smoking – your answer is NG.

    # Don’t assume anything based on your knowledge and experience, read the text! It is the oldest trick in the book and they use it a lot in IELTS.

    # Don’t “over think” your answer – you could start building long logical sequences that will take you to the wrong answer.

Actually sa T/F/NG type talaga maraming nalilito na IELTS examiners. Yan din challenge ko nung nagpa-practice ako for IELTS. Pero nung may nabasa ko na same tip nung kay Tootzkie, naging ok na ko sa reading and naging ok din score ko. Don't be sad @jeffrey_craigslist. Meron akong booklet on IELTS Tips and Preparations, may mga tips on reading. PM me your gmail account, I'll share it with you and several practice booklets. :) Smile na Mr. Big Boy ha. :)

    Tootzkie,

Parang liham kay ate charo yung signature mo... nakakainspire haha! =)

Natumbok ni sir tootzkie yung susi dun sa T/F/NG hehe:

    # If the statement clearly appears in text – it is True
    # If the text clearly says the opposite of statement – it is False
    # If you didn’t find the statement to be True or False – it is Not Given

Yan lang kelangan tandaan...Straight-forward naman ang tanong dun :)

    @itchan

PInatunayan ko sa ACS na since IT job is a complex one, network security job involves systems analysis.

Paano ba ang tamang pagsulat ng date, halimbawa sinabi nung nsa listening "Give no more than three words" ay "available during the 28th of November...." sinulat ko kasi sa sago ko ay 28th of November... pero sa answer key ay 28 November.

tapos sa number po, paano ba yung tama halimbawa sinabi sa recording ay "Fifty cars are available........" paano ba ang sagot pag sa how many na tanong? "Fifty cars" or "50 Cars"?

Sagot ko kasi ay "Fifty cars" pero ang nakalagay sa answer key ay "50 cars"...
