Hello guys, can I probably ask for tips here on making the essay for visa? As you can see in my timeline meron akong heavy bag: visitor's visa refused. :( Meron ba dito, who had a situation where you've had a visa refused and the consul giving you a chance when you re-applied but for a student's visa? I made a bad move kc... I didn't know that I can apply for student's visa even though there's still 6 months before the intake. I just wanted to visit Australia before I lodge for student's visa.

    Subclass 600 (Visitor's Visa)

Jan. 13, 2014 = Received a message from PIASI that they have received my application.
Jan. 18, 2014 = Received a message from PIASI that they have dispatched my passport/documents to be delivered back to me.
= Received a message from my agent that my visa has been refused for not meeting the requirements for genuine visit. :'(

    -------------- taking a second chance -------------------

    Subclass 572 (VET = 2-3 months processing)
    Intake: July 28, 2014

Dec. 28, 2013 = Received eCOE from Ozford (Melbourne)
Jan. 17, 2014 = Inquired for SVP with Uni. of Canberra (Melb. Campus)

Assessment 1 ka pala, and if you're going thru the SVP route, don't worry too much about proof of financial capacity. Pag SVP kasi, the general rule is hindi ka na hihingan, enough na dapat that you declare in your visa application that you have access to funds throughout your stay in AU as a student.

Wala pa namang hinihingi sa akin kasi hindi pa ako nagsusubmit ng application LOL. Kakabayad ko lang kasi ng tuition today. Hehe. But if you backread, most, if not all, SVP students weren't required at all to submit proof of financial capacity.

@Newleaf2014 If under SVP, no need to show proof of funds. Just declare this statement in a paper notarised by Justice of the Peace or Notary Public. This is what IDP told me to do:

"I, (your name), declare that I have access to funds from an acceptable source that are sufficient to meet course fees, living costs and travel costs for the full duration of my proposed stay in Australia."

    Good luck. Cheers. :)

@Newleaf2014 no problem. Ako rin medyo kinakabahan kasi if ever wala akong nakahandang proof of financial capacity haha. Feb intake pa naman ako so sana hindi na ako hingan para less delay. Try to back read the "Share some tips for IELTS" thread, marami akong nakuha doon, but I owe my English proficiency (naks) to my nanay kasi andami niyang English pocketbooks nung bata kami kaya naging palabasa ako haha. Sa speaking naman may punto pa rin ako haha pero I worked for a call center before kaya medyo hindi na ganun kahalata. :)) Good luck sa application natin. :)

@tin1289 ....just make it sure na yong kukunin mo na course is related sa background mo at saka sa course mo sa atin.....then if you will rely solely on your part time job for your needs (tuition plus everyday expenses), kaya naman but you should be showered with luck as well kasi honestly hindi madali maghanap ng work dito kahit na part time...pero here in melbourne ang madali dito ay aged care jobs....so if you are interested to go and set your foot in that field...maybe again with luck, makakaya mo all your needs...any good luck sis....

Hello po! Im new here po. Im planning to apply stu
dent visa sa australia din po but im a bit confused po and worried at the same time nursing graduate po ako at registered nurse po ako.. Kakaaatend ko lang ng orientation at ang consultancy firm ko ay sinasugest na itake ko po n course eh bachelor of business (community service management) sa stott's college po.. Tama po b na ito po itake kong course po? At yung part time job po b jan is enough to sustain all my expenses po? Pls help me clear all this issues salamat po
Welcome to PinoyAu! Based sa mga nababasa kong experiences ng RNs, they usually opt to take a bridging course para mas mabilis then apply for a PR visa afterwards. Maraming nurses dito, I'm sure they'll offer their 2cents. :)

With regard to expenses, unless may free accommodation ka (relative/friend), mahirap pagkasyahin ang earnings from part-time jobs for school fees, lodging, food and everyday expenses, especially if you're gonna abide by the 40hrs work per fortnight rule. Unless mag visa 574 ka which will give you rights to unlimited work hours, or kung may dependent ka who can also work to augment your income. Pero maparaan naman tayong mga Pinoy so kahit mahirap we overcome adversities :)

Sharing with you guys this latest IMMIGRATION NEWS: ( sharing with you here since this is concerning all of us na nasa category na ito)

Just a part of this news item guys:

"It seems that in most cases the $15 billion Australian international education industry is suspended between the government's need to develop and sustain it and the Immigration trying to limit the number of non-genuine students. Stephen F Nagle, the director of Holmes Institute says "Governments do not understand the export education market well. There is always a conflict between the education department, which wants to encourage international students to come to Australia, and the immigration department, which wants to keep them out."

The latest in the string of student visa crackdown measures are letters that are being sent to students who have moved from Stream-line Visa Providers (SVP) to non SVP providers. From March 2012, SVP ensured that prospective students faced a less arduous application process if they provided confirmation of enrolment from a participating university in Australia at bachelor, masters or doctoral degree level. Such applications were treated as though they were a lower migration risk, regardless of their country of origin.

In letters issued recently to a number of students they have been informed that they are in breach of their student visa condition 8516 if they are continuing to pursue the same qualifications but have moved education providers from an SVP to a non SVP provider. This breach only applies to students from lower assessment level countries; that is the nations whose citizens Australia deems as likely to overstay their visas.

A Korean student on condition of anonymity tells us "In my opinion, being at a Uni doesn't automatically mean you get better education, I had such a hard time with Management accounting at a University but once I moved to Holmes Institute, the teacher was great and I passed the subject with flying colours. SVP or not, university or a college all that matters is the teacher, if a teacher can teach the subject right and you learn what you're meant to who cares where you get your degree or diploma from? In my opinion, it's unfair that since I am from a higher assessment level country I won't be penalized for changing course providers and someone else from another country is being penalized. Isn't that discriminatory? "-

^mali naman din kasi yung ginagawa ng mga students who make use of the SVP process to get a visa for 573/574 para maiwasan yung proof of financial capacity tapos saka lilipat sa mas murang school or course na hindi covered ng SVP. To begin with, that's why you are being asked to declare in your application that you have sufficient access to enough funds to cover for your tuition and living expenses for the entire duration of your stay in OZ.

@tin1289 I suggest take nursing again. There are a lot of options. You can take bridging course or bachelor. Kasi very in demand ang nurses dito. Madaming work sa nursing homes at hospitals. And also nursing grad ka na at RN ka pa. Baka ma-question ang genuity mo ng DIAC if mag babago ka ng course. As for part-time work, don't depend on it because mahal ang living expenses here. Depende na lang if may relative ka dito for free accommodation. Evrything here is expensive. Just my two cents. :)

Hi po.. Personally po I think mas better if mg consultancy firm kc mas mgguide k nila kung anu mga dpt m gawin.. May mga firms nman po n hnd nagchcharge like IDP And also there's AMS n ang ichcharge lng is 2,000php for assessment lng tpos wla kn iba bbayaran sa knila. Mas better kc pg s consultancy dhil pg may mga concerns and questions k they are more than happy to assist you.. :-)

Question po regarding insurance, is it necessary na full payment for the duration of your course or puwede yong 1st year muna?I know IDP can answer me but they will not entertain if incomplete pa requirements, the same sa akin : ). Thanks in advance

Just in case this hasn't been answered yet in that maling thread, yes, you can go to OZ any day after your visa is granted. Hindi ka lang muna makakapagwork until your classes commence.
