@bn1st i think important talaga yung merong detailed job description kasi ACS will use it to assess if relevant ba yung work mo or hindi. as far as i've read, hindi lahat ng work experience nacrecredit at helpful yung detailed description dito.

what i did on mine was create a page 2 sa COE at nilagay ko roles at resposibilities ko keeping in mind din yung ideal description based sa ANZSCO code. tapos sign na lang HR. thanks and hope it helps.

@cgm uu tingin ko na-misinterpret lang yung letter/essay mo na dapat ay 7.0 talaga haha. Pag positive na IELTS at ACS, sabi nila mejo mabilis na rin ang next processes. Dito lang sa 2 to sobrang tumatagal.hehe.

Hi guys,

Finally, after 3 months of waiting, dumating na assessment ko. Suitable naman and bachelor's degree. Nakakakaba nung dumating ung email kasi baka hindi suitable haha! Kaso as expected, minus 2 years.

Goodluck dun sa mga waiting for results.

@mann ah kasi as far as i know. Madaming changes sa July e. Its either visa fees or possible na may mga occupations na mawala sa list.

@mann July magreset ang quota sa SOL tapos that's the time din na they might add or remove occupations. Though meron flagged, doesn't mean naman na it will be removed.

In addition to what cavalier and cgm have said, there might be possible changes in the IELTS requirement or points pass mark could go back to 65.

Furthermore, delaying one's application could also pose a risk of not getting a state sponsporship as most of the states are suspending occupations as in the case of NSW in the link below.

Kaya mejo nakaka-pressure mag-apply this year but hopefully there won't be much changes in July 2014.

Not sure @cgm hehe. Maybe our other friends can tell hehe. Di ko napansin. Nakita ko lang nung Nov/Dec last year, closed na yung Programmers skill. Hmmm.. they might reopen pero sobrang dami na kasi na-grant na programmers.

@cgm, yes, NSW opened their SS for IT occupation last July 2013 but around September (not really sure if it is really September), DIAC made changes on occupations that are getting filled fast. They implemented invitation on pro-rata basis on those occupations. This includes occupations in IT. They also informed states to stop giving invitations. Then after a couple of months, they allowed them to start giving invitations again. Some states opened their SS and some did not, and I think NSW is one of those state that remained close for IT occupations. Good thing Victoria states re-opened their SS and with God's grace, I got invited and the rest is history

@the_adventurer - thanks bro. Oo bilis nga eh, nakakagulat at 4 months lang ang binigay na allowance to go there. Pero ok lang, balak talaga namin wag na patagalin once na grant kaya we are planing to go there 1st or 2nd week na ng March.

I remember when I was also on ACS assessment and IELTS stage, sobrang pressure at stressfull talaga. Then during that time pa nagsimula ang changes ng ACS assessment where they deduct certain amount of years in order to met the assessment requirement. Kaya sobrang nakaka worry talaga.

Anways, good luck sa mga assessment at IELTS nyo, Praying na makarating na rin kayo sa finish line. In the end, worth it lahat ng hirap, luha at pawis na pinagdaanan nyo.

@cgm yup everything is notarized. Pinaulit ko pa nga kasi yung stamp sa ibang docs ko malabo. Medyo frustrating kasi kala ko ok na lahat yung docs na pinasa ko

Sa mga kakasubmit palang ng acs , kailan nyo plan mag ielts? Wait nyo paba ang result if suitable or susugal na para paglabas diretso EOI? Naisip ko kasi baka masayang ielts ko pagbigla hindi suitable "wag naman sana". hehe

@RyanJay onga 4 months lang nakakagulat naman kasi yung iba ata umaabot ng 1 year. Pero atleast maaga ka mkakarating ng dream land.hehe 1st week march ilang days nalang yun hehe. Thanks! We shall follow your footprints to reach that peak of total happiness.hehe. So proud of you!

Btw, update guys, just checked my ACS, and guess what it's on stage 4 now! hahaha

@lexxus mas maganda take IELTS na asap para atleast if you fail you have more time to take another test again. And as RyanJay also said, time you greatest enemy. Malapit na mag-July 2014 where there 'might' be changes in the system.

@RyanJay - Same pala tayo na analyst programmer I hope you don't mind, ask ko lang yung naclaim mong points sa acs? Saka what drives you to apply for SS. Kabado kasi ako dahil section 2 lang school ko baka need ko rin mag SS to meet the points.Thanks!

Here's the schedule for GT exam:
March: 08, 15
April: 5, 24 (In MY, no sked on the 24th)
May: 10, 17

Honestly if I can take all these exams I will.haha.. So that at least one of them I will get 7.0 in all modules para 10 points.

Taking IELTS on June, I think, is not recommended if you plan for an SS. Since your application for SS will take time and 'might' cross July 1st, 2014

I only got 10 points for my education qualification. Diploma lang kasi yung equivalent ng Bachelor's degree ko. Graduate kasi ako ng AMA computer college which I think is nasa section 3. Then I can only claim 5 points sa skilled work experience ko kasi they deducted 5 years sa total years of work experience ko. I have 8 years in the end, I can only claim 3 years. So I needed state sponsorship to get to 60 points. It turned out OK naman kasi within almost 2 weeks lang, na invite na ako to lodge whereas yung ibang 189 applicants, medyo matagal pa na invite.
