my kakilala ko batchmate ko nung college, dati syang Intel then ngayon nag wo work sa Silverbrook Research sa Sydney....smedyo may mga iilan na from Intel employed dyan sa Silverbrook.

Then sa Sydney, may mga electronics company nman, I was offered a job sa 1 electronics company back in 2011 nga lang, medyo maliit na company na subcontractor ng LG, Garmin, Samsung bali cla ung mga nag rerepair ng mga tv, GPS under sa warranty. Meron din electronics assembly sa Canberra pero citizen ang required nila dahil mostly defense projects. Hanapin ko ung email add nila sa inbox ko kung andun pa para ma check mo

semicon ang background ko sa Pinas, then electronics/hard-drive industry sa SG then pagdating dto naging automotive. Ung nga lang po, IE ung background ko mostly supply chain planning kaya related pa dn ung gnagawa ko although magkaibang industry. Ginawa ko lang nung dumating ako dto nag apply ng apply kahit anong industry basta supply chain planning roles and kino consider nman nila ko for interview. Ano po ba ung current job role nyo?

@happyinmelbourne34 hello! Almost same pala tayo ng work mo dati dito sa Pinas. IE po kayo? Kasi electronics/harddrive ang background ko, planning engineer ang specific position ko... Ilang taon na po kayo sa Oz? Nabuhayan naman ako ng loob kasi mostly IT ang mga Pinoy migrants :-) God Bless :-)

nsa oz ang sister ko sya nagmungkahi saken mag apply kasi ok daw ang course ko na IT.
the problem is nasa japan ako ngaun. exited din po ako ma try ang oz regardless na kung anung trbho makuha ko po.
nde ko lang magets ung mga procedures.
like ung EOI, kailngn ko dn po ba ng certification ng IELTS and from ACS since IT po ang profession ko. sna po kung may mga IT na nka apply papuntang oz gmit ang skillselect ay mashare nmn po nila ng procedures na gnwa nla.

Medyo maliit lang cla na company at ung mga covered ng warranty na tv's/gps/phone cla ung nag re repair. Yup nung tinour ako sa loob ng facility mostly pag kumpuni ng pcb. May mga iilan na pinoy engrs na employed dyan,

Nagbabasa ko ng community newspaper nakita ko ung company, was surprised na may pcb assembly pala cla dto though maliit lang cguro ung mga pang defense at highly sophisticated/confidential ung ina-assemble nila dto sa Au the rest in Malaysia.

May mga iilan dn akong nakitang electronics company, mga small-medium scale lang cla pero nakalimutan ko na ung pangalan. Nag supplier visit lang kc kami non nataon same industrial park cla. Pag nag supplier visit ulit kami kunin ko ung name para ma check out mo ung website nila and see if they have recruitment or hr email add.

@Islandercity, I think depende sa industry, like I mentioned before ung Ford at Holden whose parent company is General Motors, are closing down their mfng in the next few yrs, Sabi ng classmate ko sa course na nag work sa Holden, its moving the mfng to Thailand. Boeing had cut down some jobs as well though sabi nila mga contractors ang tinanggal nila sa Port Melbourne site....so ung mga labor intensive, big scale like automotive mfng yan ung mga apektado dahil sa npakamahal na labor cost (na mention nung classmate ko na ung workers s car assembly line at ung matagal n sa Holden they were being paid like 70$/hr so u can easily see the difference maybe in Thailand its just 10$-20$/day). But still meron p naman mga mfng industries na will continue gaya ng food, pharmaceuticals,chemicals, packaging ung mga FMCG na not labor intensive but heavily dependent sa Automation.

And nabasa ko lang dn pahapyaw lng sa 1 supply chain magazine fr APICS na according sa study ng mfng sa Au, food and pharma will continue to grow since Australia is exporting heavily to other countries like ung sugar industry sa Queensland (in Mackay) na ~2/3 ng pino produce nila goes to Export.

May class ulit kmi s Tuesday, will read thoroughly ulit ung article about s mfng and will share.
