RSA and RCG ang combined...nakuha ko RSA lang...di ko pa plano magRSG...wala naman akong plano magtrabaho sa gaming/casino so far...hehe...

mga 120 ang nabayaran ko sa cert. then wait ko nalang madeliver ang ID ko...although may cert na ako...pwede na ako magapply apply ng bar or resto or hotel...habang wala pang actual na tawag sa field na gusto ko...

so far di ko pa naman naca-career ang paghahanap ng odd job...mas busy pa ako sa accounting jobs eh...heheh...pero last recourse ko na yun pag umabot na ako ng 3 months and still wala pa rin...

ang sa TAFE ata ibang courses offered dun...and still may bayad...okay din dun pero magbabayad ka pa rin at matagal tagal na course yun..months....kapag kukuha ka lang ng certificates like RSA, isang sitting lang yun tapos na...

I am lester from melbourne.

I am starting today to find an odd job. Stop muna ako sa pag-aapply ng air conditioning engineering related job, or hinay-hinay muna siguro, kasi the more I push too hard, mas nahihirapan ako.

May nabasa ako dito kahapon na mejo tinamaan ako. na kesyo kung hindi tlga kaparehong kapareho sa requirements nila, mahihirapan tlga maka-penetrate sa gusto mong job. kailangan ko tlga dagdagan ang skills ko and show them exact certificates they want.

isa pa, ang pagiging PR ay importante para sa right candidate. masyado silang specific pagdating sa bagay nato. 457 visa lang hawak ko, dependent type pa! hihintayin ko na lang siguro maging PR ako. anyway matatapos ndn nmn assessment ko sa EA this month, at kung hindi palarin sa skillselect, im still fortunate pa kasi isasama naman ako ng partner ko as inclusion sa pag-apply nya ng PR visa late this year.

After more than 1 month na walang tumawag na employer skn, fight pa din ako. sabi ng partner ko importante na nandito nako. maraming pilipino sa pilipinas na umaasang makapunta din dito, hinding hindi ko to sasayangin.

Hindi ko alam pano ko sisimulan ang paghahanap ng odd job. bahala na.

sa three months na pananatili ko dito (arrived last Feb '14), hindi pa ako makahanap ng trabaho sa Telecom Engineering. naka tatlong interviews na rin (2 doon ay technical), ayos naman ang interview pero nakakapagtaka lang kung ano talaga ang hinahanap nila kasi nasagot mo naman ang mga technical questions. tinanong ko yung headhunter ang sabi baka daw sa communication skills ako nadali (mahina ako sa speaking kita naman sa ielts result ko). kaya eto move on move on din pag may time.

pero dahil nga nanghihinayang ako sa lumilipas na panahon nagtry ako ng odd job, nagtrabaho ako sa packing company as part time mostly twice a week lang ang trabaho. minsan nga once a week lang. nagfofold ng mga kahon, nagdidit ng mga stickers sa kahon. medyo nakakangawit din sa leeg at kamay kasi non-stop yung trabaho pero wala akong choice. naka 4 weeks din ako doon tiniyaga ko kahit na 10 AUD an hour lang.

then nirefer ako ng kaibigan ko na nagwowork sa isang suit company sa Myer as sales consultant (di ko alam kung tatawagin nating odd job ito), ayun nag-apply ako tapos tinanong ako ng manager kung may retail experience ako, then sinabi ko meron kahit wala. then pinagdemo nila ako kung paano ko ibebenta yung suit buti na lang naaalala ko yung mga specs na sinabi sakin nung salesman nung bumibili pa ako ng suit sa Pinas (about single or double-breasted, one or two-buttoned, super fine wool or poly wool, notch or shawl lapel) then on the same day, pinagsimula na ako sa trabaho. nung una 4 hours a day, 3 days a week lang ang trabaho. pero lately dahil nakikita naman nilang nakakabenta tayo, kasi nasa dugo nating mga Pinoy ang excellent customer service, yung tipong dedicated sa trabaho at laging nakangiti, kaya halos araw araw na ang trabaho tapos 5 or 6 hours a day. more than enough naman ang kita sa araw araw na gastusin dito. at mababait ang mga kasama sa trabaho, relaxed lang, hindi pushy. then napaparactice pa ang english kasi ibat ibang tao nakakausap mo, iba't iba rin ang behavior, tapos malalaman mo kung sino sino ang mga galante at yung mga kuripots, at maraming nakakatawang mga karanasan tungkol sa mga customers.

pero pinupush pa rin ako na maghanap ng engineering job, eh kaso wala talaga, lately nagcheck ako sa seek.com para maghanap kaso wala eh, tagtuyot. kaya tiyaga tiyaga muna tayo. recommend ko lang sa mga wala pang work try niyo rin magwork sa retail, lalo na sa Myer, masayang magtrabaho dun di mo alam natatapos na ang oras hindi naman nakakapagod.

ako 4th night ko ngayon sa "odd job" ko as room dining attendant...tga-set up ng trays and trolleys, taga-ayos ng pagkain, taga-deliver ng food sa rooms kaya akyat panaog sa elevators and room to room services, tagakuha ng used trolleys and trays sa mga rooms, etc etc etc...3rd month ko na dito sa sydney and I am a CPA back home.

panggabi ako and eventually baka ibigay ang graveyard shift sa akin...take note, i NEVER did this job before (nilagay ko lang sa resume ko na may experience ako and i was referred by a waiter friend in this 5-star hotel) ... so far nag-eenjoy ako kse prepare prepare lang naman and more sa common sense...yun lang, tayo and lakad and galaw galaw ka lang for 8hrs or more... plus, disadvantage sa height ko kse 5' lang ako and babae pa...kaya medyo mabigat ang mga trolleys and trays for me.. but oh well, better than nothing right?...haven't received my pay yet kse fortnightly daw...when I do, I'll tell you guys/gals if it's worth it...till then, stay tuned...

Hi kababayans. Eto sample ng pang odd jobs as cleaner.. Bsta remember and be aware sa mga certificates na klanangan i obtain para sureball. Kahit wala kau experience sabihin nyo meron back sa Phils kahit gawa2x nlng kau bsta alam nyo ung duties & responsibility. Tanggalin yung unrelated or high position na ndi related. Lakasan ang loob at kahit carabao english bsta ma express nyo ung sarili nyo.

tama si @nix1633, lagyan nyo lang ng experience and chenes chenes...pero dpat may reference kayo..lagay kayo kahit 2 lang...tumatawag sila to check (yung iba) and timbrehan nyo na ang friend nyo na kunwari ksama kayo sa work blah blah blah...

and make sure may RSA ID kayo before you apply kse baka masayang lagn ang effort nyo...you need an RSA to be able to serve food and beverage here...mura lang yun and isang araw lagn na upuan yun at kinig kinig...then may cert. ka na and papa-ID ka nalang sa post office for free...

Pwede din ako pasuyo ng cv mo? Pati sna cover letter kung ngpasa ka din. Ngsstart nko mgtingin tingin. Kakakuha ko lang din ng food handling cert online pra mkpsok kht kitchen hand lng. Pero ttry ko din kumuha ng rsa. Ang hrap neto kht cleaner o kitchen hand o dining, hirap pa makalusot.

Para sa lahat, meron ba dito gusto mag kitchen hand. Naghahanap kc ng staff yung ninong ko sa sushi bar nya sa Eltham. Nka post n sa gumtree yung advertisement, marami na rin ang apply. Baka lang meron may gusto dto ng work
