    @Arch_Onin - same pala tayo, august din flight ko bound to melbourne. had already booked a flight. i chose PAL, 40kg baggage+7kg handcarry. 460USD. inclusive na yung travel tax, nakapamili pako ng seat. :) try to call reli travel & tours, sa kanila ako nagpabook. pag deretso kase sa PAL, 23kg lang talaga. pero nagiiba iba rates nila depende sa promo or regular rate ng PAL. try to call them na lang po to inquire :)

    nabasa ko na to dati eh, pero clarifiy ko nrn sa inyo at least to make it sure:

    since first time migrant ako pwede ako maka-avail nung 40 kilos sa mismong airline carrier or sa IOM.. pero paano naman ung kasama ko na papunta din ng Melbourne na galing na sa AU, pero never pa sya nagpabook dati as first time migrant, do you think eligible pa sya na kunin ngayon ung 40 kilos din? (student visa sya dati, now PR visa na)

    @Arch_Onin - in my experience when i contacted PAL directly, i told them na 1st time migrant ako and if they have considerations for baggage allowance, pero ayun, 23kg lang daw talaga. with the travel agency, parang affiliated na sya ng airline company and they give extra baggage allowance. but they're strict sa reqts. to verify kung 1st time migrants talaga. they asked for my visa grant notice, passport and requiring me to attend the PDOS/CFO. you may also inquire from the travel agency directly about your case.

    @marain - 3 weeks ago nagpabook. sa PAL kaba tumawag directly, wala talaga silang baggage allowance, 23kg lang talaga sila. tru travel agency ako. mura ang nakuha ko kase promo at that time yung PAL.

    ..i mean 23kg lang talaga baggage allowance ng PAL kung directly ka sa kanila magppbook.

    Hi Guys...wanted to ask lang kung sino sa inyo ang nakapag-book thru AirAsia?...we're from Cebu kasi and we are planning to take Ceb-KL and KL-Melb na flights (we will be seeing our friends sa KL kasi for a day). Upon checking online, this route will cost us about 22,200PhP. Included na yung 30Kgs check-in baggage (for the two of us) and meals/comfort kit (for KL-Melb leg only). I was wondering if is there any issues for first time immigrant travelers when using LCCs (Low Cost Airlines)...Thanks a lot..:-)

    @loudandclear sa reli din po.. family po kc kmi, una dun ako sa branch sa may MOA.. ang gulo nila, sabi nila pede then the next day n magbabayad na ako ndi na daw pede.. then after some calls in dusit kc sabi ko nga may nakapagpabook sa dusit na 40kg nmn binigay.. sabi nila ung primary lang daw ung pede di daw pede ang dependent.. kaya naloka ako. di ko na tinuloy.. then I tried sa Megamall branch.. ganun n nmn.. una ndi daw pwede wala na daw, then told them may nakapagpabook, after checking, sabi oks na daw may tig 40 daw kmi... pero need ko provide ung CFO... sana di na magbago after ko maprovide ung CFO... may I know sino ung kausap mo sa dusit? para may reference cla? many thanks

    @marain - si cherrie nag handle ng booking ko. pero si bart ang una kong nakausap, sya nagbigay ng quote. pero when i visited their office na to finally book my flight, si cherrie na naghandle.
