    Ako ill go with malaysian nlng. Booked na kasi qantas for january. Lam nyo ba kung magkano extra 10 kg baggage with MH? Ang cebupac meron na sydney starting sept yata pero ill still go witg MH
    parang paranoid lang cguro ako, pag iniisip ko ung Malaysia Airlines na missing flight :(

    @coolit 40kg check in baggage plus 7kg handcarry ang normal na bigay ng Qantas sa new migrants. Nakuha ng friend ko dati is 54K, 2 adults, 1 kid. January 20, 2014 sila umalis dito. Mag subscribe kayo sa mga travel agency na related sa Qantas. I-ask ko sa friend ko yung name ng travel agency.
    meron po ba nagnapagbooked sa Qantas recently with flight on Sep 2014 onwards? HM po per haead? pashare naman po name ng travel agency.

    Tsaka, pag first time migrants applicable lang ba sa first flight there? pano kung mag initial entry lang muna? sayang kase yun 40kg baggage allowance kung initial entry muna gagawin. plan namin dalhin lahat stuff pag may job offer na sana.

    @gene_borres thanks sa reply. oh no, initial enty pa lang pala dapat dala na mga gamit para mamaximize na yun 40kg. Pinakamura kse nakita ko sa jetstar, nasa S$1300 for 3 pax pero 1 way lang yun, and 10hrs trip kse may transit pa.

    i just got here in OZ. i just want to share my experience with PAL. Overall, its smooth and hassle free. I have 1 duffle bag 14kls and 1 balikbayan box 31.5 kilos for check-in. Then yung backpack ko 8 kilos, i also have a laptop bag. My check-in baggage exceeds 5 kilos but they never asked for payment anymore. :). I also liked the food they serve on the plane. I got 3 pillows kase may mga seats na vacant kaya kinuha ko pillows nila heheh... Pero hindi ako nakatulog masyado, mixed emotions. Im anxious and sad. Nasa plane pa lang ako nammisss ko na pilipinas...my family, friends and my workplace. When we were about to land na, i opened the window...what greeted me was sunrise...the morning orangey Australian sky...beautiful. Seems like a brand new life waiting for me hahah...

    same feeling when we went here 7 years ago, ngayon pag umuuwi ako ng pinas na homehome sick ako, lalo na pag nasa pinas ka tapos nasa gitna ka ng traffic ... maiisip mo yung kotse mo dito sa au at pagddrive mo heheehhehe , galing pinas pag balik ng AU parang gusto mo halikan ang kotse mo at ang mga freeway dito

    @johnvangie plan ko when may visa grant na is to get MNL-SYD via Cebu Pacific. gusto ko sana direct MEL pero mahal. Check ko nga ngayon at nasa P21k lang with 120kgs combined baggage + 3 set meals for me, my wife and daughter for my hypothetical departure of mid october 2014. if MNL-MEL, cheapest is around P65k-68k for the same configuration via Air Asia. i think if I do SYD first meron pa siguro 2-3 days of city tour and visit friends then fly to MEL. laki pa rin matitipid. just my idea. :)

    @johnvangie wala ako family pero meron few friends. same din sa melbourne walang family. plan is get a hostel for 2 days sa sydney na around max of $75/night. madami sa airbnb or agoda. then maybe fly na lang to melbourne or do a train if feeling adventurous. i'm thinking kasi na you get a feel sa sydney then see the scenery even before pagdating ng Melbourne. do you happen to know ba if ang trains from Syd to Mel have luggage restrictions in terms or size and/or weight? thanks

    Yung friend ko na tuluyan namin sa Melbourne, galing din sila NSW before nag Melbourne, pero nag airplane sila to Melbourne.
    40kg + 7kg handcarry + laptop bag ang dala namin ni hubby plus un sa anak namin kaya mahirapan siguro kami kung train.

    Tip, meron din palang super saver fares ang qantas. From a base fare of 30k, we got it for 16k (savings of 14k PHP), 30kg plus 10kg for migrants.

    Question lang po... Im on my student visa, ok lang po ba na one way fare lng yung pinabook ko pauwi ng philippines? Multiple entry po ang nakalagay sa visa grant ko. Indefinite pa po kc yung date ng balik ko dito sa melbourne. Sabi po kasi sakin nung friend ko dapat daw po 2 way yung pinabook ko...

    I have friends on student visa and they only booked one way fare since wala pa naman silang plan bumalik ng pinas agad. And wala namang naging problem.
