@pcasing bookkeeper and Assistant to the Financial Accountant manager are both not on the list. The assessor was most likely convinced that the tasks mentioned on your letter do not match the tasks of an Accountant as defined by ANZSCO

@batman eto oh... I clearly indicated in my Stat Ded na even if the job title is a bookkeeper the tasks are for accountant level... I have to do a Stat Ded because I didn't like the generic JD that employer provided and they wont agree to printing what I want in their letterhead. Can I ring the person na nasa assessment result? I'd like to know if there is a chance for my appeal eh..

@RheaMARN1171933 ..thanks! do you think a work testimonial from the Financial Controller will help? (I work directly with her though she's in AU and I'm in PH) I'm thinking of asking a letter from her and appeal to CPAA.

    Hello Guys,

I have a question regarding sa cpa license id, mag-eexpire na kc sa siya this coming june, is CPA Australia strict regarding this matter in their migratrion assessment? Although , I'm already a associate member of CPA Australia for more than a year, and passed the cpa license id before as their requirement. I just don't know in the case of migration assessment. Napakahirap kasi na mag-renew ng professional license ngayon hindi katulad ng dati.

@ProjectLDU for migration purposes, it shouldn't be an issue. As long as you have a positive skills assessment outcome which means your qualification equates to an Australian one and that your skilled work experience is closely related to your nominated occupation.

Hi Guys, do we need to be an associate member ng CPA australia for assessment? Will it help ba on pointing if we are associate member?

    Thanks!

@Pyche05 not really. All my clients were never a member when they applied for skills assessment. I try not to recommend it as as I see it as an additional expense which is unnecessary.

@Pyche05 wala naman effect sa migration assessment points.

pede waived ang migration assessment fee if associate member ka. fully paid 1 year. 295 yung fee ko as assoc member for 2018.

Share ko lang. Last year we received a letter from CPAA na hindi nirecognize ang work experience ko and only recognized my hubby's work experience as 3 years lang. This year we sent an appeal (added 2 stat dec for hubby) and today we received good news that hubby's 5 years work experience is now recognized. Muntik na ako mawalan ng pag-asa pero laban lang! By next month or early April, hubby will try PTE again. It will be his 4th try. Sana superior na! We are currently at 70 points for 189, 75 points for 190. So help us, God! Praying to be invited at 80 points before July!

221111 Accountant (General) - Primary applicant -> hubby
Me as partner/secretary/researcher/over-all in charge :D

June 2017 - Decided to pursue our OZ dream :) Joined PinoyAU forum.

    September 9, 2017 - I took PTE-A. Results received after one day. L/R/S/W = 85/90/72/90 (sad)
September 16, 2017 - Hubby took PTE-A. Results received after one day. L/R/S/W = 76/68/77/78 (konting push pa!)
October 11, 2017 - Submitted documents to CPA Australia (hubby and me)

    (Target) Points:
    Age - 30 points (28 years old)
    English Language Ability - 20 points (God-willing!)
    Qualification - 15 points (BSA)
Work experience - 10 points (5 years work exp)
Partner skill qualifications - 5 points (28 y/o, PTE-A passed, BS BAA, 3-5 years work exp)

    189 - 80 points
    190 - 85 points

@madamA I agree, appeal is always worth the try. I've got a recent case where initially his work experience were not recognised but then I asked him to revise the letter to make sure he's able to present all his tasks related to his nominated occupation as accountant. We checked his draft again, then he had it signed by his employer. The outcome was successful. He gained 3 years from the appeal.

    Hi everyone,

Gusto lang sana magtanong about sa CPA program kung tama ba pagkaintindi ko. I’m a graduate of Business Management sa Pinas and currently nandito ako sa Canada. I’ll be moving to Sydney soon since nandon si hubby so ang visa ko is temporary partner visa na granted naman na. I’m interested in enrolling sa CPA Program and from my understanding is assess ka muna nila to see kung need mo mag take ng foundation exams before enrolling sa CPA Program. So tama ba na mag apply lng ako online sa cpaaustralia upload the needed documents then wait for their assessment?

Anyone here na naging associate na hindi accounting ang degree sa pinas?

    Thank you!

@madamA , how many months na po ung status nyo as 75 in 190 visa? I'm thinking na NSW po ung state, tama po ba?. This is also my target points but it seems na mejo matagal yung waiting kahit sa 190, if this is the case, i have to wait for 1 more year, just to claim 80 points in 190, considering if i have superior points in pte.

    Hi everyone :)

Just a few updates on my progress and a clarification na rin.
My syllabus problem was resolved and thankfully, my University issued me course descriptions like batman and the others suggested.

With regards naman sa COE for skills assessment, ung detailed tasks/responsibilities, may nakapagsubmit ba dito na hindi maxadong detailed ung nakalagay na tasks/responsibilities? Like parang 4 to 5 line items lang taz general ung statements such as:
    1. GL and subsidiary ledgers management
    2. F/S prep and analysis
    3. budget and cash management
    4. finance process management

Baka kc pag ganito lang eh hindi i-consider ng CPAA.
Hope to hear again from anyone of you. Thank you

@batman thank you for your advice. I'll try to talk again to my previous employer about it. Thanks again. :)

@joy94 you need to draft the letter yourself according to what you need and ask your supervisor to verify and sign. You can't expect them to write a detailed letter as they wouldn't know what exactly CPAA wants to see.

@RheaMARN1171933, Actually I drafted the letter myself. Those 4 headers above are part of my draft. There were job descriptions in bullet points after each header. Unfortunately, the GM/FM now was not the one I reported to when I was there. We interacted only once or twice during the latter part of my stay. So he is quite hesitant to put the bullet items in the COE. The other constraint is that he only comes for a visit here in the UAE as he is mostly based in Qatar.

Any advice on how to convince him to sign my proposed detailed COE? :)
I even told the accountant to check if he wanted to lessen the bullet points in the draft but his answer is still negative. :(

@joy94 this is the most tedious task of my clients experienced. In the end, they managed since they had....perseverance is the key. Good luck.
