@leah28 Ayaw kasi ni agent 1 EOI (2 visa type 189&190) technical issue daw kasi. kaya isa eoi for 189 lang ang sinubmit samin. GUsto ko sana dalawa para kung alin ang mauna.

Wala ba kayong pinirmahan na agreement or anything na sila lang ang gagalaw ng application nyo?

Kaya sinsabi ni agent na may technical issue yun is because hindi nya kayo ma-ccharge ng additional fee, which is additional profit dapat sa kanila.

Gandang gabi po. Ask ko lang sa may mga experience na nag student visa dito at ngayon ay processing ng PR na, since minsan kasi problemado tayo sa equivalent ng degree natin sa Pinas to be positively assessed. Ngayon, nirekomenda sakin ng kaibigan ko na mag masters ng IT sa australia lalo na daw sa mga low-growth areas dahil sa job opportunities. Ngayon, ano po ba ang imimungkahi nyo? Magandang paraan ba ito? Thank you.

@grant512 yup, I myself ganyan ang ginawa ko. NSW ang selected state ko. 60pts lang kasi ako for 189 medyo ang hirap pag ganito ang situation kasi hindi mo alam kung kelan ka ma-iinvite.

@grant512 Yung 189 mo as is yun, ndi na mapapalitan yung date ng submission.
bale magkakaron ka ng bagong item sa skill select pra sa 190 naman.
mas advisable asap magpasa ng NSW kasi tuloy tuloy lng dw processing nila. So mas maaga mas maganda.

Hi All, We are revisiting our AU options... Our total points is 55 because Hubby's qualification was assessed as Diploma kaya dito kame na short for 189 visa. We have two options;

1. Wife to have her IT skill assessed but she has to undergo RPL since hindi IT ang course nya...One more confusion is whether her skill must be in SOL ba or pwede ding CSOL to claim the extra 5 points for partner? Ang problem is mukang mas pasok skill nya sa CSOL kesa sa SOL

2. Can we go for visa 190 instead? diba may additional 5 points to para 60 points total na pag na nominate ng state? Is this even an option.

Please enlighten us anung better option. Salamat

both are PRs but 190 requires state nomination while SC 189 is skilled independent (no state nomination required). refer to http://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Work/Work/Skills-assessment-and-assessing-authorities/skilled-occupations-lists for the list of occupation. only those in SOL are eligible to apply for SC 189.

1. if applying for SC 189, then both your skills must be in SOL. if her occupation is in CSOL, then u must apply for SC 190.

2. yes you may if your occupation is available in any of the state migration plan list. and yes, it will give additional 5 points, then you may not need to get your wife's skills assessed.

Hi Friends,

Would any one have an idea of the backlog of EOIs for Sys/Bus. Analysts? Last FY, the quota for SA/BAs was filled up within 6 months. Ito yata yung unang occupation na na-fill up.

Am I right to assume na we have at least 6 months of SA/BA EOI backlogs in the system?
Wherein if someone submits an EOI today, may more or less 6 months waiting time bago mapili sa draw?

Just speculative assumptions hehe. Thanks for anyone's feedback.

Tska, ang work experience ko 5mos na lang nacount-kapag mag-aapply kaya ako ng job sa OZ may bearing pa iyan? Grabeh, nais ko lumakas loob ni nevergiveup...

@nevergiveup as your username suggest, don't lose hope and never give up!
First option, to get band 8 score in English proficiency test, I would suggest to take PTE Academic instead of IELTS, in my opinion it is easier to get higher marks in PTE-A than IELTS, read the thread about PTE-A for more details. Dapat lang siguro mag alot ka ng enough time to prepare to get your desired score.

Second option, you can try to re-asses for a different nominated occupation, maybe Software Engineer instead of Developer Programmer. Sayang kasi yung more than 4yrs na job experience mo as IT consultant perhaps meron kang mga tasks that you can relate to Software Engineer. Dapat kasi mas emphasize yung mga job descriptions natin sa nominated occupation that we are applying.

For example;
Instead of just saying "performing unit test" you can be more specific like "coding the test scripts and preparing test data for performance test, etc."

hello!
i have just lodged my visa for 189.
Medical Laboratory scientist.

may concern lang ako kasi nilagay ko sa "usual country of residence" is Singapore. I have been working here since 2008. Tapos doon sa section "countries lived aside from usual country of residence" ang nasulat ko lang is Australia (2007) and Singapore(2008-present). Hindi ko nasulat ang Philippines which is from birth until 2007.

magiging issue ba eto? nasubmit ko na kasi ang visa application. pwede pa ba siyang maedit? or nasa decision na lang ng CO kung hihingi o iclaclarify eto?

EOI is free, skills assessment depends on the skills assessing body, visa app depends on the number of applicants. ielts though is fixed, in SG its 310-320sgd

sa look and feel nung website mukhang malaking change, kasama na ung mga pagpalit ng links nila..kaya chill lang muna baka mga bandang end of Jul or early Aug yan.
