@TasBurrfoot 4 years ago me and my husband and my kids went here in OZ through 457 visa and we did not attended PDOS and we never had a problem we were able to fly here with no worries at all, but if it is recommended para mas sure then i reckon umattend n lng ng PDOS khit sa tingin ntin walang silbi hehehe

hi, you could try other occupations related. maybe accountant? auditor?
but as Bank manager, since wala sa SOL sorry hindi pwede.

I recommend you dont use an agent. alot of people here had a faster application process doing it themselves.

Yup matuto na lang tayo sumunod sa PDOS requirement, isipin nyo na lang na part yan nung mga requirements sa Oz na need natin i-complete... unless again gusto nyong tuwing haharap kayo sa Phil Immigration eh kakaba-kaba kayo at nag-iisip ng explanation..

Although during my seminar, may mga info na sinabi na parang mali (?), tumahimik na lang ako dahil ayoko namang mag-appear na smart-a*s doon sa seminar... tapos yung pang mga kasabay kong nagsseminar parang hindi naman interesado, parang mga nasa Cloud9 at hinihintay na lang matapos yung PDOS :P

Bakit po ganon yung sa immi ko.. Wala yung 5/17 na page.. ( yun pa naman yung may abt travel sa Oz na meron ako.. Pano po gagawin ko dito.. Di ko tuloy ma submit yung application ko...

@pausatio tnx...noted?.so in short kung ano ang pinasa sa skills assessment na docs parang yun din ang mga documents na needed isubmit...may karagdagan lang...same procedure din kaya...i mean naka notaryo or certified true copy?

@jrgongon nabasa ko at nsabi din sakin, kung online ka nagpasa ng skills assessment, yung copy n pinasa mo pede yun ang ipadala mong docs sa visa, at since pede n online sa visa ata, same lng din ang forward mo n nkasave n file mo mas tipid ata.. Hehehe ...

Hi , I'm a newbie here....I'm working in Malaysia as an Engineer. I went today to a Migration Agency to understand the process...although their charges is quite high...need to put in about Php100K before they can start to process the application for Skills Assessment.

Anybody can help me course thru the info for the step by step application online (DIY)
I understand it should be in this thread but I'm quite lost with a lot of info :-)

@mona_05302002 im also a newbie but i hope this site will help you. First you need to identify your skill according to the SOL/CSOL. Then go to your assessing body, also in the list... Diy is way much better... Goodluck!

I looked on the statistics of their invitation rounds for the past 7 months and 60 pointers are still on top!! Siguro depende na rin sa occupations being nominated. But let's not be comfy about it and still find ways to increase our points to increase our chances of getting invited for the visa. Good luck!

hi im confuse...magkaiba ba ang eoi sa skills select?can someone enlighten me po...or ma break down po ang procedure na pag apply....dba first step is either englsh test then skills assessment or vice versa...then submit ng eoi...tama po ba? then mag aantay ng ita...san naman po papasok ung skills select?

@jrgongon: EOI is the one you submit in skillselect. Para mas malinaw read about the process in http://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa/Info. And in addition to that mag backread ka lang sa topic na ito dito sa forum. May detailed explanation on what you would do. Good luck!

@jrgongon Skillselect is the portal where you will submit your EOI. Magcrecreate ka ng account sa SkillSelect tapos sasagot ng questions to claim your points and that's the way to apply for your EOI.

yes, 60points ako and I got invited. Medical Laboratory Scientist ang skill ko. I think depende din sa demand noong skill nominated. All the best!

Hello everyone! I'm new here and I'm very excited to hear your thoughts! My girlfriend and I, like most people here, are planning on migrating to Australia. We are turning 25 next year so we'd like to start preparing and processing everything that we can as early as now. We are both ECE graduates (licensed) and have been employed for the last two years. She works for an oil and gas firm as a systems design engineer while I work for a semiconductor company as an equipment/process engineer.

From what I've researched, the most suitable visa we can apply for is VISA 189. Do you guys think this is the best course for us considering our qualifications?

We are planning to shift careers towards IT as we're not happy with the professional growth our current jobs give us. If we quit and change jobs before we get to three years of employment, are we still eligible for the overseas work experience points?

I have relatives in Melbourne who are more than welcome to help us when we get there, is there another VISA class I/we can apply for considering this?

A few questions po, about dun sa claiming ng points for work experience, kailangan ba sa same company or industry ko makuya yung 3 yrs na work experience bago maging eligible sa points?
-Same occupation or closely related one.

Also sa assessment by EA, hindi ba too optimistic yung 15 points? Di ba sila maselan sa pag grant ng ganung score?
