How DIAC compute work experience

I just wanted to ask people here from forum who had the same issue im having right now, I tried to create my EOI profile and at the end of the application, The system gave me 55 pts for visa 190 as selected. Not sure how it calculated my work experience tho, Below is the result from ACS. Can someone please enlighten me, if with this breakdown, DIAC will award the 15 pts for my work experience?

company A 1996-2003 = 6yrs 11 months
company B 2004-2005 = 9 months
Company C 2006-2008 = 1 yr 10 months
company D 2009-2010 = 1 yr 8 months
Company E 2010-2103 = 2 yrs 4 months

Educ = 15
IELTS = 0
SS = ?

At least eight and up to 10 years (of past 10 years) = 15 points

so that's from 2003-2013; I'm guessing work experience from may 2003 - may 2013 that is related or closely related work experience to your nominated occupation as per opinion of your assessing authority or DIAC.

i'm not sure if you'll get the full 15 points but you can get 10 points (count your experience in months kasi may butal ang mga work experiences mo)

At least five but less than eight years (of past 10 years) = 10 points

If your age gives you 25 points, education 15 points and work experience 10 points, you need 10 points more to reach the minimum requirement, which is 60. SS nomination can only give you 5 points so better work on your IELTS. Hindi mo na kailangan mag-apply for SS.

I also see that your writing score is 6.5 and your reading as well. Madali lang makuha yung 7.0 and that can give you an additional 10 points.

Tip: Get at least an 8.5 or 9 sa reading and listening subtests and take IELTS given by IDP Philippines. They are bound to re-check the scores of your writing and speaking test and you'll have your needed 7.0

sa ACS result mo nakalagay dun kung ilan years yung inacknowledge nila.

more than 5 yrs but less than 8 yrs = 10 pts
more than 8 yrs = 15 pts

State Sponsorship = 5pts

Kung may spouse ka pwede mo rin sya kuhanan ng points = 5 pts

hi @raiden. From your post, you started work on year 1996 in company A. Did you put 1996 as your employment start date in EOI? There's this clause in EOI saying "Provide details of the client's employment history for the last 10 years". If only for the last 10 years, so shouldn't it start on 2003?

I'm now finalizing my EOI but confused on the employment start date. My dilemma is I don't know if I should put-in 2003 if I will consider the last 10 years OR 2005 as what is assessed by ACS. If I put-in 2003, my total points would be 65 but if i input 2005, it will only be 60 points. I don't want to overclaim points.

^hindi ka pala inabutan ng new ACS rule. In my case, I guess I need to follow ACS rule to be on the safe side. i've been researching about this scenario but it seems DIAC has no definite answer to this new ACS ruling. Might also try to send them an email or call them to inquire.

guys, question lang sa pag fill up ng online visa application. Sa part ng Employment History, ano ba dapat ilagay sa "Date from", yung deeming date ng ACS or kung kailan ka talaga nag start sa company.

In my case kasi, nag start ako sa company on Feb. 2005 pero dahil may deeming date na ang ACS result, 5 yrs ang nabawas sa skilled experience ko kaya from Feb. 2010 na considered as skilled level. So ano dapat ba dapat ilagay?

Pano po makuha ang 5points sa spouse? Paenlighten naman po ako kasi nalilito ako sa part na yan. Bale div 1 RN na po ako dito si hubby naman po nasa pinas pa. Matagal na po syang govt employee, bale sa military service sya. Tia!

Hi. Question, about sa work experience:
1. kelangan ko ba ibawas dun ang months away from work due to maternity leave? Counted ba sa work experience kapag paid ang maternity leave tapos yung nde lang counted sa work exp pg unpaid maternity leave na? 2months kasi paid ML namin pero 3.5months ako nag leave.
2. If hindi ko sya pwede isama, pano ko sya ilalagay sa eoi? Kasi nde ako nag change company nung nka leave ako. So example, from 2011 - oct 2012 then ML from oct 2012 - feb 2013 then work again from feb 2013 - present.

Hi po, I'm new here.. Asa stage na ko ng Visa Lodging kaso I got stuck dun sa Employment history.. Question po, what do i need to put in the "Date to" section para dun sa current employer ko? Hndi po kasi pwede magproceed sa next step if I leave it blank.. hope you can help me.. thanks in advance!

lagay mo na lang yung date ngayon (pertaining to na employed ka dun til present time). ganun ginawa ko. ok naman. may visa na ako.
