Hello, Any Medical Laboratory Scientists who applied for 189/491 visa after the Sept. 11 rounds. Lots of Medtechs including 65 pointers were invited last September 11 for 189 visa. Do offshore applicants still have a chance to be invited after September 11 given the changes in Budget.

Immigration only stressed out that onshore applicants are prioritised and did not at all mentioned closed for offshore. We don’t have data on 189 invites yet so hard to say. My two cent here is, carry on with 189 if you qualify for it. It may be a long wait but the silver lining is that as Australia’s economy recovers, the borders will start to re-open and migration numbers increase so the sooner you lodge yourself eoi for 189 the higher the chances you get invited sooner when things become better....however for 190 and 491, it’s a different story as stares would only nominate onshore applicants at this stage.
