Mahigpit nga talaga kapag sa gov't agencies in general lalo sa mga 1st world countries. I can compare dito sa SG, 2 weeks before na-grant access ko sa work and all. Nag bbackground check sila lalo sa foreigners.

Sa AUS ba pwede non-PR or non-citizen sa govt? Thanks!

Meron naman akong nakikita na open to all... Pero mas madalas yung citizen ang hanap lalo't business or backend systems ang hahawakan. Need talaga ng baseline clearance dyan.

Dami ko na rin inapplyan (walang indication ng clearance requirement) or nag reach out sakin, tas pag hihingan ako ng clearance sinasabi ko, hindi ako eligible. Sayang lang hahaha ganda pa naman ng potential based sa job description.

A few may give exception if you really stand out but very rare. I used to hire before and I had to spell out to HR what to look for. Independent recruiters on the other hand know their job and even look beyond skills or experience, and they sell you to the company. So worth introducing yourselves to them and have those coffees.

I think nasa tamang landas pala ako lol, though I just started my IT career (QA testing) 2 yrs ago. Dito lang ako sa Oz nagwork sa IT, sa pinas unrelated jobs so bagong bago pa exp ko. Hopefully magrant agad 191 ko and subsequently citizenship - paturo po mga master pano makarating sa ganyang level hahaha

Once you have enough experience and network, try to study more on cloud, cyber security, data science, architecture. These roles are pandemic proof and can demand good salary, with contracting jobs too.
