Claiming of deducted work experience from assessing authority?

Hello,

May nakapag try ba mag claim ng deducted experience from the assessing authority? May nagsasabi kasi na pwede daw and even migration agents advised so, as long as may evidence for the employment daw. Kaso sabi ng iba may narereject daw. 5 points difference din kasi siya for me.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Hi, refer to page 11, 10.4.1

    https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/foi/files/2020/fa-200601127-document-released.pdf

Skills assessment is only ONE of several factors considered when claiming points for your skilled employment.

I claimed points din from the deducted experience pero not with NSW since part of their guideline explicitly indicates that skilled experience should be after the date you are deemed skilled by the assessing body. That's why I have more points for 189 and 190 for VIC compared to 190 for NSW.

I also saw several people who claimed these experiences that already got their grant.

Sa Victoria. For those na adamant, I think the fear is valid. Migration is a major life move. Pero there's the guideline from DHA, people na nagrant na rin with this, as well as my agent's opinion on this, so to me that's enough proof. Also, I have a money-back guarantee with Respall should my application get denied because of their advise, so the risk is less with me, as far as this bit is concerned.

By the way, IT professional din yung nakita ko na nagrant at dito rin somewhere sa forum yon, di ko lang mahanap. hehehe

189 and 190 for VIC, sa NSW kasi nasa guideline talaga na dapat after the date deemed skilled.

If you are still doubtful why not consult an agent now, not try or plan lang kasi risky yan. If you consult aregisterd agent and they are reputable naman, they have valid experienced based information kaya un ang binabayaran mo. Para din di ka na masyado mag anxiety and dumepende sa "DAW" na word :)..

Just saying here kasi ikaw din mag suffer eventually sa visa application if you get wrong or doubtful information.

Or file re-appeal with ACS making sure maa-address probable reason behind that 4yrs deduction (if there is any) from previous assessment.

Note that Respall doesn't charge ala carte or per step consultation. They charge for the whole package regardless of what step you have already completed. I inquired with them before Q3 of 2023) and I can provide their response if needed.

If money isn't a problem, go for an agent to do it for you. If being practical is an option and you are firm that you deserve that addl 4 or 2 yrs credited, file for ACS re-appeal yourself. Minsan nga kasi nagkakamali din ang assessing officer.

actually, nagdown na kami ng 1k for the consultation pero that was before pa when we were planning to avail their whole package. kaso nagbago isip namin and we proceeded na mag DIY..

Right now, nag seek muna kami ng explanation from ACS about the result.

Yup that 1k peso is just for the a generic high-level consultation with them to assess possible score you can earn. Hope ACS will address your concern. Goodluck!

Hello, assessing through VETASSESS. I have read through some forums that VETASSESS deducts a year of experience to have a positive outcome. Say I have an actual 5 years of experience, and VETASSESS only includes say 4 years. Can I use 5 years in claiming points in my EOI? Thank you po.

@lyrre i just saw this maybe you can take a look

This is exactly why I am confused, I have bachelors in IT which was assessed as comparable to bachelors major in computing.

What exactly are you confused about?

why am i deducted ng 4 years exp if comparable to bachelors yung qualification ko

Have you asked them why is that case?

got a reply from them. Here is the exact reply.

"Please note that the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology is a AQF bachelor’s degree with a Major in computing, however it is not closely related and that is the reason deduction of 4 years experience."

My nominated occupation is 263111 Computer Networks and System Engineer. It is so weird eh yung mga kilala ko na ang assessed sakanila is major in computing 2 years lang binawas... I even had a former colleague na same school at course kami.

I agree, that is so strange. I would still ask an explanation in what way it wasn’t related. Assessors make mistakes too. I had few cases with acs last year where I had to escalate to top management because I knew there was a mistake their end. Good luck

May I ask po how do you escalate to top management? Nababago po ba yung results or need mag file ng review/appeal?

I just happen to have the director’s email address through previous correspondence. Just to put things in perspective, we deal with acs all the time due to infinite cases we handle. Hence, know how who to contact and discuss/raise up assessment issues concerning clients. Yes, definitely, turned things around. We’ve never applied for appeal nor review for our clients. There was never a need to do so.
