Kung gusto mo maging SO dito sa Aus at nagstart ka as TO or sa Specimen Reception.. kelangan pakitang gilas ka.. masipag, may kusa at less mistakes. May kawork kse ako na nakuha as SO from Specimen Recep.. makikitaan mo nang willingness to learn at very proactive.. kahit di na niya work ginagawa.. so after niya makapasa ng AIMS exam at may vacant na SO na position.. siya ang kinuha..

Same din sa mga students dito.. pakitang gilas at pabibo in a good way (may nakakaasar kse na pabibo..haha) during their placement (or internship).. sila may chance na makuha agad.

One full year na schooling or 2 yrs kung part time.

@snue madami akong ka-work na graduate dito ng MLS at Biomedical Science na nasa Specimen Reception or TO..

@snue @raspberry0707 true! Mahirap ngang humanap ng work at depende pa sa magging location ng applicant kung gano kahirap or kadali makahanap ng work pero it all boils down to whatever we need during that time..for some people kahit anong work nalang sa una bsta may pambayad ng bills (like me lol!) then upgrade nalang later on or if the applicant can wait, eh d mag wait for the right position..depende narin tlg..case to case basis ;-)

Kaya much prefer din ng ibang employer ang TAFE/ vocational graduate dto kc prang mas hands-on ata sila kesa sa mga uni graduate or depende narin tlg sa situation during that time if kung anong available position if SO, TO or TA..minsan draw of luck din tlg.

    *Cert.1, 2, 3 and 4 then Diploma
    *Advanced Diploma and Associate Degree
    *Bachelor Degree
*Bachelor honours degree, Graduate certificate and graduate diploma
    *Master's degree
    *Doctoral degree

Eh since 4 years lang tayo sa high school dati, kaya kahit natapos natin ang bachelor's degree natin sa pinas, hindi parin nila kinoconsider na equivalent to Bachelor's dito and bachelor's natin from pinas..kaya swerte ung mga student visa na dumirecho na dito ng kolehiyo kc they don't need to repeat anything..dire direcho na sila ;-)

Pag nakumpleto ko na documents ko from Pinas, magpapaassess nako agad sa UAC then I'll let u know @snue how did it go ;-)

Grad Diploma in Lab Medicine yung kunin mo kung itutuloy mo student visa..

So after a year, i decided to apply somewhere else, Sa ibang STATE, and fortunate enough uli, i'll be starting work at the end of august sa government hospital as a hospital scientist. In short wag ma stuck sa isa state. Be open and take risks.

"I would rather work and live at a different STATE as a Scientist and get paid more, rather than live at NSW and work my way up again."

Don't get me wrong, i respect anyone na ganun ginagawa but madami opportunity sa labas ng state kung saan kayo ngaun nakatira.

My other point is, its ok to study, but iba pa din tlga nagagawa ng connections at interview. to put in simple, dami mo nga qualifications but pagdating naman sa interview, di ka ready sa type ng interview nila. baliwala din.

AIMS qualification is enough. tingin ko proven ko na yun, kasi nga equivaleng na education natin and experience to be a medical laboratory scientist. depende lang tlga sa interview, gawa ng resume, cover letter, these are the simple things na na di napapansan but essential.

sa mga mag mamasterals, tama din sabi nila, kaya i advise na mas maganda mag aral ng ganun pag nagwwork ka na sa maganda company or government or maganda na din position. but if gagamitin nyo to apply for a position pede din naman but mas mahihirapan kayo becuase you'll have a lot to prove in the interview.

Don't worry, i'm not gonna sell materials anymore, no use naman, I won't reveal myself as well, because i'm already labeled as an opportunist.

The best way is to contact RMIT at ipa-assess mo ung TOR mo.. they can advise you better at mas accurate.. good luck.

I know it's just a poor choice on that moment to sell reviewers especially here but it's all good, we have to move on from that and I know that u can do better in helping our kababayans to get into their feet..sometimes there so much joy in giving than receiving..and thanks for ur insights..big help for all of us pinoys by sharing ur experience own experience ;-)

And if you don't mind and if it's not too much for you, since uv opened up about resume, cover letters etc, can you share the format of ur sample resume and cover letter here? or PM mo nalang din..of course, just leave out ur details.

@raspberry0707 mam, if it's not too much to ask from you as well..do u mind sharing the format/ ur own sample resume and cover letter as well? or PM nalang din, just leave out ur details din lol! ;-)

Share ko lang din since napag usapan ang ibang state...fortunate kayong pdeng lumipat ng state at least you've got so many options, I've been wanting to explore other state since gusto ko na makaipon and makabili ng property, but since I'm married to a man na ang buong ay family ay andto sa Sydney at ayaw lumipat ng ibang state ni hubby, I've got no other choice but stay here to work harder to make ends meet and to be a professional MLS here..it's just sooo crazy expensive and too competitive in my area but I'm still doing my best to convince hubby to transfer other state lol!

Just my 2 cents, sa mga mgsstart palang...Basta whatever you've got now, make the most out of it and be positive about it and everything gonna work out sooner or later ;-)

thanks in advance and goodluck po sa lahat ng mag eexam ;-)

@vangie sis thank you sa inputs.. pano nalalaman kung pseudohyponatraemia sis kung walang lipids and albumin na result? Dahil ba slightly low lang yung sodium?

(Hindi ako masyado bihasa sa Biochem)..
