    Gusto ko ung klima na parang baguio. We will plan to move sa Melbourne talaga soon. Pero ngaun parang 13 degrees na sila papalapit plang winter haha

    May pitong taon na ako dito sa taiwan, at tulad ng iba, nung una, nanibago ako. Iba ang lenguahe e. Pero nakita ko kung gano kaayos dito. Nakita ko kung pano gumalaw yung gobyerno, yung maayos na health care system at naaawa ako sa pinas.

    Ika nga, ang Pilipinas, survivor yan. Kahit na anong ihagis mo sa pinoy, kakayanin at kakayanin nya yan at tuloy tuloy lang. Yan ang maganda sa pinas. Pero dahil nga survivor, lahat ng mali, tinatanggap pa din. Hindi umuunlad. Hindi umuusad.

    Sa katunayan, ang pananaw ng HSBC sa pinas, maganda. Matapos daw ang 50 taon, magiging isang mayamang bansa ang pinas. Kasi nga daw, madaming tao, di tulad sa ibang bansa na paunti na ng paunti ang mga tao.

    Pero di kami tugma ng Pinas. Ang personalidad ko at ang pinas, ay hindi nagtutugma. Magkaiba kami ng personalidad. Mahal at kinikilala ko pa ding pinoy ako, pero di kami sang ayon ng pananaw.

    Kaya kakailanganin kong lumipat. Para makapunta ako sa bansang makakatugma ko ang pananaw. Maayos ang healthcare, maayos ang pension, at bibigyan ako ng kapasidad na makabili ng sarili kong bahay.

    @bookworm Same sentiments. Pag andito sa Pinas, parang nagiging reklamador at super nega na lang ako... Ang hirap kasi makarinig ng good news at positive change. Sabi nga ng mga motivational authors, speakers, iwasan ang manood ng TV, magbasa ng news. Yun na lang ang ginagawa ko para di madagdagan ang disappointement ko. Pero I really love Philippines, dito lahat nagsimula ang pagkatao ko, ang pananaw ko. :-) I just don't like Philippines government, Pinoys na walang disiplina at pangarap :-(

    i wouldnt mind living in the philippines, based on these conditions:
    1) dun ako sa hometown ko (manila is a nice place to visit but i wouldnt want to raise my kids there)
    2) i have a big or medium-sized business or doctor/lawyer ako para iwas tax

    unfortunately in my line of work, its not going to happen. kailangan sa mnl ako based. that's the dealbreaker. never felt at home in mnl even after 6 years. so goodbye pinas. ived lived in other countries and pag nasanay ka na sa labas, parang ang hirap na ng buhay sa pinas. au was not the first option, it was more like plan C. but im glad things worked out. this might not be our permanent home, but i have no regrets.

    of course, proud ako na pinoy ako. di ko yan tinatago. i still plan to go back when i retire. maybe balik au lng pag may papagamot (hehe) or to claim pension. my parents are still there and minsan malungkot din kng isipin na malayo sila sa apo nila. but i see whats wrong with the country and di ko na ma take. also, there's a big big world out there and i want my kids to have the opportunity to see it.

    ganyang ganyan din kami dito sa Singapore, dito medyo iba din ang language pero kapag nasanay ka mas makikita mo ano publema nang pilipinas nakakasawa dati lagi ako nagbabasa nang news, ngayon ay talaga yan nalang reaksyon ko.

    gusto ko makaalis nakakatakot kasi lalo lumalake na anak ko, ayoko makita nya ganung sistema tapos may opportunity sa labas pero wala siyang kakayanan hawakan yun.

    yes, I think most of us agree, we are not turning our back on the Philippines, per se. We just don't like the system and are looking for a better on that we can be better in. But am sure, most of us will go back to the Philippines, whether for retirement or just vacation. And most of us, will still call ourselves Filipinos :)

    been an OFW for nine years sa saudi...and eventually more than a year unemployed while waiting for oz and finally less than a week na lang at oz life na :-)

    been unemployed over a year was rewarding and ive learned a lot of things...B*llsh*t talaga dito sa pinas...haha

    my Father underwent hemo dialysis session thus the reason for resigning from saudi, well, part of it...had our house renovated and finally getting married. The house construction went well, except from some hiccups from the building officials...was surprised as well, ang hirap palang magpagawa ng bahay sa pinas, parang kasalanan mo pa kung bakit ka nagpapagawa ng bahay (if you know what i mean)

    hemo-dialysis was so draining, plus the medication, but no problem, everything for papa's sake...no help whatsoever from the government, have had lined up at PCSO as early as 4am to get some "financial" assistance but still in no way of helping! tsk...until my father passed away...even in death, our government is of no used...too many requirements for GSIS pensioner and even senior citizen privileges is such a drag!

    tried online petition to increase philhealth coverage for dialysis patient, from 45 to 90 session but to no avail also...

    tried reviving the family business but still i cant do it...almost just break even...barangay permit, mayors permit, homeowners premit...tsk

    kaya bottomline, sa ibang bansa na lang, wag na lang dito sa pinas at an daming buwaya dito! para bang akala nila kesyo nagaabroad e mayaman na... :-)
