Hi, for CFO purposes everyone is required to register prior to departure but there are exemptions with regard to the seminar. If I remember correctly, one exemption is if you have been in your home country for at least two years, then you are not required to attend the seminar but you will still have to register with CFO at the Quirino Ave. office.

Hi Guys, just want to verify...i already did the online tfn application and the system has given me a reference number, can i quote this number when i open a bank account? Or should i wait for the actual tfn # that will be sent to me after ato processed my application?

@deppesteves I would suggest that you open your bank account within 6 weeks after arriving, because beyond this time frame you would be required by the bank to have 100 points ID check, you can just update you TFN details on your bank account after you received the actual TFN fram ATO (reference number will not be accepted by the bank). A TFN is not required to open a bank account so having said that open your bank account now and jut provide your TFN once you have it...

TFN will be mailed to you 2-4 wks after your application...

NO you can't , you need a valid address for TFN,

@dhey_almighty - you can apply for TFN during your IED if you have an address where they can send your TFN, say an address of a friend...

Several of my friends did this previously and there were no issues...

^we did this when we did our initial entry in Brisbane. we used a friend's address in Brissy.
now that we settled in, we just phoned ATO to change our address since we are based in Perth.

Hi, nakareceive po ako ng email from SA at nagcongratulate sa grant ko. Meron sila binigay na link for registration once we arrive in SA. But we are not asked to register if we are only coming to Oz for visa activation lang.

@angelmar17, it will take some time po, Visa granted po kami ng January pero last week ng February ko lang na receive email from SA....di rin ako nagemail sa kanila, sila po..

It should say something like this:

Dear

Welcome to South Australia. Congratulations on your visa grant and Immigration SA is pleased to have you here and hope you enjoy your new life in our wonderful country.

Immigration SA is required to monitor your residence in South Australia for the first two years after your arrival in Australia to live and work. Please register online as soon as possible after arriving to settle in South Australia. hi guys. question regarding sa driver's license (DL).

Nag name change na ako sa passport ko but my non-prof DL still has my maiden name. Is it really necessary for me to change my DL with my married name? Or inaaccept naman to jan Aussie? Hope meron maka share sa experience nila with this. Hassle na kasi if pupunta pa ako sa LTO office kung in the end accepted din pala ung maiden name, save sa effort na din :-)

Question lang po, I'm up for passport renewal on June 2015 and plan namin umuwi by december, plan ko sana is sa Manila na magrenew pero medyo risky kasi baka hinde ako payagan mag-board, San po ba pwede magrenew dito sa OZ?
