@JClem so yung mga local bank cards mo (i.e. BPI, BDO) pinaputol mo na?

@LokiJr ang mamaintain ko is isang Citibank credit card and isang BPI bank account. The rest po papadeactivate ko na. :)

Uy anong credit card yung walang annual fee? Siguro ikaw yung nasa 100K every month ang bill tas nakakabayad on time kaya parati waive ang annual fee. Hehe! :D If wala naman pala annual fee, wag mo na pa-deactivate.

For those planning to get CC sa Oz, you might also be interested in joining Qantas Frequent Flyer program.

For those new in Oz lalo na kung may family, you can easily earn the 60K points required for return trip to Manila - promise!

There's no annual fee for FF, but not sure if membership is free at the moment.

I'm not connected with these airlines. Gusto ko lang i-share kasi over the years naka more than 10 free round-trip tickets na kami to Manila.

Speaking of credit cards, ako I am an advocate of charge everything as much as possible to your plastic. As long as you pay on time and you don't overspend, then you are fine.

I maintain just 1 credit card during my whole 4 years stay here in Singapore. It is a Citibank Premier Miles Visa that allows me to accrue points which will eventually be converted into air miles. So far so good, naka vacation for 2 na ako sa HK as well as 4 RT ticket from Singapore to Manila... :D

@hotshot - yes madali makaipon.

For those going on business trips or training, kahit bayad nang company yung flights and hotel you can still earn points basta quote your FF number when booking or during check-in sa partner hotels.

Stick ka sa advise ni @psychoboy, charge whatever you can and pay-off the balance by due date. Parang mortal sin din sa akin magbayad nang interest sa cc, we should really live within our means

Mga magkano kaya yung house rental (2 bedroom) sa perth or even about 30 mins to CBD? Kung bibili ng house, how much ang average price and what the maximum period it can be paid?

    tnx po.

@Alexcons - rent or buy nang property check mo sa domain.com,au or realestate.com.au. Ok din mag google sa kung may private sale, bihira yon but you can save a lot on agent's fee kung sakali.

Max period to pay-off 25 or meron din yatang up to 30 years. Check mo sites nang banks, meron silang calculators so alam mo rin how much you can borrow.

Daming things to consider when buying, eto konting pointers:

    - almost always may tawad, lalo na ngayon buyer's market. Pag desperado seller makakatawad ka at least 5%, so babaan ang unang tawad.

    - if you're set to buy the property, make sure "subject to satisfactory building & pest inspection" para di ka mapasubo kung may anay, or lumulubog ang area, or may mga extensions/renovations na illegal or doesn't meet the standards.

    - pay-off your mortgage early. Hindi yan impossible lalo na ngayon mababa interest rates. Surpisingly may mga taong retired na pero malaki pa ang mortgage.

    - big help if your bank offers 100% offset facility.

    @tita_vech thanks for the information.

@icebreaker, kung nanalo me sa lotto ng ganon, then hindi na sana me magplanned to migrate sa ausie. It just happened na we owned a condo here in singapore and in the event na matuloy na kami sa ausie, then yung matitira sa napagbentahan non will be used as downpayment atleast sa house.

Ayus yan @Alexcons - if sure ka na talaga sa Australia then why not buy a property if you can afford diba? Instead of paying out a straight expense every month (by rental), at least you are slowly building your equity sa bahay mo sa Oz... :)

All the best to you, may post for SG forumers - kita kits there!
