@batman hello po! Ask ko lang kung may idea kayo kung ilan ang minimum points ng naiinvite ng NSW for software engineer? If visa 189 nasa 60 points lang kasi.

Guys, I need your help po. Pinadalhan ako ng letter ng CO ko at ito ang sabi:

I am currently assessing your application and I note that your Vetassess Skills Assessment identifies your “Date deemed skilled for Points Test Advice” as 8/2011. This is the date after which you can claim skilled employment. This indicates that you are not eligible to claim points for 8 years of skilled employment, reducing your total points.

As stated in your invitation email and on our website, you must be able to meet the claims made in your EOI at the time that we invite you to apply for NSW nomination.

Nung nag-fill up ako ng EOI and then yung application ko for NSW, ang tinanong naman dun is yung employment ko for the last 10 years so nag-provide naman ako. Si system na mismo ang nag-compute na for experience, I have 15 points kasi nasa 8-10 years na ako. Ang saklap, kinukwestiyon na ngayon ni CO ang experience ko na hindi ako pwede mag-claim ng 8 points. Eh lahat naman ng experience ko related naman sa nominated occupation ko na Internal Auditor (e.g. cost accountant for 3 years, internal auditor for 5 years). Paano ko ba ito replyan or me mali ba talaga ako?

@DFVille Bro, kung sabi ni VETASSESS na 08/11 ka pwede mag claim, dapat sa EOI mo nilagay mo as "not related" lahat ng work experiences mo before 08/11.

Kahit na related sya sa work mo, dapat sinelect mo as "not related" para hindi sya ma-count sa points mo. Parang nag overclaim ka bro..

Paging @engineer20 .. baka sakaling may insights sya.

@DFVille ako din lahat ng work experience ko for the past 10 years binigay ko. Pero yung mga experiences before the assessment date, nilagay ko as "Not Related" para hindi masama sa calculation ng points for work.

@DFVille Good morning/afternoon, actually sa alam ko ang cost accountant is not considered as related experience for Internal Auditor. Ako rin ang nominated occupation ko is Internal Auditor. And Vetassess/CPA Australia, clearly separates the Accountant role to Internal Auditor and External Auditor. Kaya ang related Internal Auditor position mo lang is 5 years talaga sa tingin ko, based sa info na binigay mo. Pero deductible pa yan ng 1 year to be considered as skilled professional ka, so ang icoconsider lang nila for point assessment/calculation is 4 years.

Ang EOI system is hindi smart enough to remove 1 year deemed skill requirement kaya dapat ikaw na magbawas/magadjust ng date from the time you got entitled to be considered deemed skilled internal auditor, manually pag-nagfill in ka sa EOI system.

@DFVille To be honest, I don't know as well. They were very specific on declaring (EOI) your points consistently and should actually support your claim. If I'm on your position, the best thing to do is be open and honest that you tried to follow the system and have completed the requirement as accurate as possible, but since there is an error/mistake with the way I filed my EOI. However, Can you assist and provide the best recourse to resolve the mistake to take my application to the next stage.

That is a ground for declining your EOI but you may also compel the CO to reconsider. Unless other guys here has came across the same situation before.

@DFVille dapat gumawa ka ng dalawang work experience in the same company, yung before 8/2011 and after 8/2011. Tapos yung before 8/2011 i-click mo na not related :-)

@wanderer sir pwede pa ba mag-edit ng EOI while ina-assess na ni CO? In all honesty Sir, hindi ko talaga nakita yang button na "not related" nung nag-fill up ako sa experiences ko sa EOI. Meron ba?

@DFVille Sis, technically, pwede mong palitan yung work experience mo sa EOI kasi ang status nun is "Submitted." Pero it won't help na rin kasi nasa record na nila yung work experience mo dahil dun sa application form na sinend mo sa kanila.

Pag inedit mo yung work experience, 10 points na lang ang make-claim mo instead of 15. Hindi ka na rin magiging eligible dun sa invite ng NSW kasi kaya ka nila ininvite dahil 70 points ka at 190. At this point, 65 points ka at 190 kasi if susundin yung tamang assessment from VETASSESS.

@DFVille tama si @rich88. Just be honest to the CO and ask how to proceed. Either iconsider ka or try to wait nalang for another oppurtunity. In any case kailangan mo parin ayusin EOI mo kasi once mainvite ka ng 189 magiging problema yun, sayang lang payment mo. :-)
