@katlin924 yeah, walang pass or fail talaga. but kung way higher yung grades sa reading and listening, internally ire-check ng IDP yun. Yes, meron din sa BC but for EOR (Enquiry on Result)/paid recheck na yun.

13 calendar days is a loooooong wait tsk tsk

Agree! Try your best to relax before the speaking test... in my case sinunod ko yung isang suggestion sa isang review material... nakasulat dun before the speaking test try to think of happy memories & smile or even laugh if you want (don't mind the people around you if they think you're crazy)... mukhang effective naman sakin, nag-umpisa na ksi kong kabahan nung malapit na time ng speaking ko... though smile lang and hindi naman ako tumawa at baka ma-weirdohan na sakin mga katabi ko... cheers!

aw di pala kasali si aolee :) , pero sa reading i cant find any ways to kill the matching type. Sabi nila scan lang ang passage pero yong mga choices halos magkalapit lang kaya parang basahin mo talaga yong passage which is time consuming :(

Wala pong sikreto sa reading e...it's just a matter of comprehending the story and questions :)

What I did was follow the tips dun sa 101 Helpful Tips in IELTS.

Makakatulong talaga yun! Ang ginawa ko dun is, scan mo buong passage. Tpos punta ka kagad sa questions. Then encircle yung mga "keywords" dun sa question. Tpos balik ka ulit sa passage. As much as possible, check mo kung san mo nakita yung keywords tapos dun mo i-evaluate. ;)

    Goodluck!! ^_^

ahahaha, nahirapan lang kasi ako sa task 2 e, tanong kasi sakin something like describe a recent musical event that you were able to attend... ala e, di naman ako umaattend ng musical events bwahahaha! so medyo imbento to the max lang ako... so yun, naubusan ng kwento haha... pero sabi naman sa mga nabasa ko, ideally kung content related and dead air, okay lang, pero kung deadair na naghahagilap ng grammar, yun ata yung mahirap...

Then again same tayo ng impression kung pinoy ang taga-eval, mahirap silang maimpress, unlike kung native speakers na sobrang dali maamuse kung makita nilang kaya mo makipagconverse sa kanila... ahahay... 12 days hahaha!

Para sa mga future IELTS takers, one thing I found helpful sa matching header is, kung question yung header, then thus the content answer yung question... Kung statement naman, try mong gawing question yung statement, then if the content can answer yung tanong, then yun na yung match hahaha (labo)...

Pinakamahirap for me sa reading was yung "NOT GIVEN" hahaha, BA kasi ako so wired ako na hindi magassume ng isang bagay kung hindi nakasulat sa document bwahahah! so nahihirapan ako sa mga bagay na implied na pala, pero nilalagay kong not given kasi, di naman nakasulat hahaha!

Im a 2nd timer IELTS taker, got 8 on my reading the first time i took it but sadly my writing result is disappointing. Its too easy on reading the first tiime i had the exam however the 2nd attemp was so frustrating. Its flooded with matching type, and all the selections were almost similar. That leave me no choice i have to comprehend each of the passage to get the right answer. Scanning??? No way.. The thing is IELTS now is so unpredictable, imagine all the pinoys i met during the exam were 2nd timers too and we got unanimous verdict. Here it is. For reading - flooded with matching type and listening - full of traps. Full of traps i mean a conversation, not a narrative being read by a single person which is pretty easy. I can still remember some of the reading passages and my answers i can share it with you here if you guys wanted too. Cheers

I agree...IELTS really tests your comprehension on all four exams and you need to read between the lines to get the right answer.

    @tobenhood

I took the same exam. I can't remember it much but this seem to be a true to me:
Anytime call atleast 5 dollars - NOT GIVEN

I'm not really sure if the question about "at least 5 dollars" refers to the monthly plan or per call made for the plan; but if my memory serves me right, anytime plan has a minimum charge of 5 dollars/month or something (as I can remember).

Also, for calling options, I'm not sure how the question was written but there should be more than 3 calling options for consumers; because, aside from the 3 plans given in detail within the passage, it was opened up with a statement that goes like: "aside from the regular call rate, consumers have the following alternate options (3 call plans are given in detail)" so that gives you the 3 call plans + a regular rate plan = 4 options.

I can't remember giving "secondary secondment" but maybe I was wrong.

Anyhow, my memory aint as sharp so please, try to read the questions as well. lol
