    Hello po,

Sa tingin nyo just how slim the chances became for new aspirants with this new immigration process?
My mga nakikita ko sa timeline in less than 6 months approved ang visa, dati ba mynadedeny na visa kahit pasok ang points mo? E yun ceiling wala dn b4 dba po? Sabi sa gov immig blog, ndi raw 22o na mababawasan ang visa grants, its just that kung ano yun mas kelangan nilang skills yun ang bibigyan nila ng visa.

Any idea po sa mga IT professional, i see na abt 8k ang ceiling for them (inclusing software developrs, adminstrator and ICT engr) parang napaka konti nito sa dami ng nag aaply!

    Hi Guys,

Magiging consistent na lang ako with the EOI, mukha kasing mas okay maging ganito kesa paiba-iba. By the way, after po pala magbayad sa application, yung form 80 po ba imimail yun, kasama yung ibang certified documents?

@bmc_cpu - are you asking about the documents for the actual online Visa application?

If yes, then you dont need to mail all the certified documents..
you scan them, and then attached to your application.

After payment, you will get your TRN (transaction reference number), you will use this
to open the link where you will attach all required documents..

Before SkillSlect, you will normally get all this information thru an email, which DIAC will send you after payment.. I hope the process is still the same now.

Hi. By the way, yung nakalagay ba dun under sa Next Steps, yung lang ba talaga mga required. Meron din po pala dun part for Health and Character evidence, di po ba after na ma check ng C.O. yun? Mejo mahirap yung uploading, kasi nagkakanetwork error, etc.

Agricultural Eng'r from UPLB with license tsaka i'm 26 years old po. Do you think pasok po ito sa qualifications? Sabi nung immigration consultant sakin I can choose between Subclass 189, 190 or 489 visa.

    age - 30pts ( 26 yrs old)
    ielts - 0 pts
    work exp - 5 pts (3 yrs)
    education - 15pts (bs degree)
    -----------------
    current total - 50 pts

    a) kung mag visa 190 po, state sponsorship, that will give you additional 5 points.. (so total 55pts)
    b) kung may relative po kayo, you can apply for visa 489 , additional 10pts ( so total will be 60pts)..

and while waiting for your assessment result, you can retake your ielts.. para makakuha kayo ng score 7... that means additional 10pts ...

@coachella9 hi...175 and 189 are the same, both skilled-independent visa. ONLY that 175 is the previous name of the 189 visa...189 is ung bago na po na skilled-independent visa equivalent sa 175 noon...

Difference for both is that you for the previous 175 visa, you have the liberty to initiate an application for migration itself provided you meet the point requirements.

189 on the other hand needs to submit an Expression of Intent (EOI) - from there, if your EOI stands out from the rest and if your skills are needed in Oz, they will pick out your EOI and invite you to lodge an 189 visa application.

@psychoboy - Thanks for the profound explanation. :) It seems like the selection is more stringent on 189. That means that you really have to invest in the areas that could give you more points.

Correct - all the things that you can improve on (usually IELTS results), kung pwede magretake to get full 20 points retake lang... It can increase your chances lalo na kung border case ka lang sa passing.

Although they have lowered the points to 60 - the fact of the matter is, you need to aim high so you will be invited... :)

To put it simply, there is competition post July 2012 - goodluck! We just started ourselves... :)

^ yup he's right. Also, you would need to compete with other potential on-shore applicants (applicants holding temporary visas already in AU) who can claim additional points for the # of years they have spent studying or working in AU. :)

Hi Guys, I am not sure where to post this question pero taking my chances. I just recently decided to migrate to AU and now Im in the process of processing my requirements. Meaning 0 pa lang talaga.

I am a graduate of BSECE however I am working in a Technical Call Center company (dealing more in Computer Networking related concerns, more on Network Infrastructure WAN, LAN, VLAN etc). I am a Manager now and been here for almost 10 years. I just want to ask some advice on which Assessment Group should I submit my Assessment Requirements? I'm kinda puzzled if I can submit it thru ACS and if ok, should I select "Skills Assessment" or "RPL Assessment".

And I tried to check on Call Center Manager post, nakalagay VETSSESS ang Assessment Body for this employment.

Do you think I should go on ACS or VETASSESS? Also, confirm ko lang din. If I file for Skill Select Subclass 489 (my cousin is willing to sponsor me), yung 2 years na provision ba ay included na sa 4 years requirement for Citizenship? After the 2 years kase you can file for Permanent Residency 887 and use at least 2 years for the Citizenship.

Hope I can get responses from you experts :) Thank you

Kung may makita kang Skill na ACS ang assessing body at sa tingin mo malapit dun sa work mo, or previous responsibilities mo, then go for it. Like in my case, licensed ECE din po ako, pero malapit sa Software Engineer ang job ko, kaya yun ang ninominate ko at sa ACS ako nagpa-assess. Yun nga lang, 4 years ang required na experience for us ECE's kapag sa ACS, pero no need for RPL. IMO, mas matrabaho magpa assess sa EA dahil sa career episodes (explain mo talaga in detail yung engineering job) whereas sa ACS, compose mo lang yung duties and responsibilities in accordance dun sa definition ng Skill, at lagay mo sa Certificate of Employment (kasama ang ibang required na details like position, start/end dates, etc.), ok na. Positive naman yung result ko from ACS.

    Subclass 190 - Software Engineer
    April 5- ACS Application
    May 12 - IELTS Exam
    May 25 - IELTS result (R&L - 7.5, S - 8, W - 7)
May 30 - ACS Result ( Not suitable due to less than 4 yrs. exp./ 1 mo. short)
July 9 - ACS Review Application
July 19 - ACS Review result (Suitable); EOI Submission
July 27 - NSW State Sponsorship Application ( Payment rejected)
Aug 3 - Payment in AUD sent
Aug 16 - Invitation and Visa Lodgment
Aug 20 - GSM Adelaide Acknowledgement
Aug 21 - Health Examinations List received
    September 5 - PCC
    September 6 - Medical Exam
October 1 - Employment verification by the Embassy
    October 18 - Visa Grant
October 26 - Notification of Grant letter arrived. Finish line

@Geoff I am no expert, but I will try to give some inputs here. I recently submitted my application to ACS (I am a BSCOE graduate). What makes us common is, I also work from Technical Call Center company for 6yrs, now doing Desktop/Network/Software packaging Support for 2 years and had the same dilemma before my skill assessment submission ( I am still waiting for the result and keeping my positivity here).

The factor that help me decide to which assessment body I should submit my skill assessment is whether the occupation I want to be assess is in SOL (I am aiming for visa 189).

As for your case, if both occupation is in SOL you can go for VETASSESS as you have a higher chance of getting a positive assessment because of your work experience.

For your question "If I file for Skill Select Subclass 489 (my cousin is willing to sponsor me), yung 2 years na provision ba ay included na sa 4 years requirement for Citizenship?"
I don't know the answer. Hehehe!

    Good luck to us!

Thanks @bmc_cpu and @RobertSG actually mas gusto ko magpa assess sa ACS, kase mas madali intindihin yung steps and requirements :) I'm not that sure which occupation to select to nominate.

Another question would be, what's the difference between SOL and CSOL? If I'll be using my title now, wala siya sa SOL however nasa CSOL siya and VETASSESS nga daw ang dapat mag assess. Correct me if Im wrong, CSOL is only applicable if you will be nominated by a State or government, or looking further to enhance your skills by training. So meaning, hindi siya applicable sa akin if I am aiming for migrating and work permanently.

Do you think pwede ko inominate ang Computer Network and Systems Engineer for my qualifications?

For the document na needed, do we need to have it authenticated from Malacanang and DFA?

    Thank you in advance
