Possible ba na magsign-up ka muna sa EOI, filled up some info pero wag ka muna magsubmit just to give you idea how it works same as applying online sa SS? thanks.

    YES! :)

This is what I did to my wife's EOI - I filled it up every time may new details (general information first, then IELTS results and finally the skills assessment part!). I just saved it after wala na ako madagdag na information until finally na completo! :)

@psychoboy, thanks. Nafrustrate kasi ako sa NZ immi after reading a lot of info on immigration process sa NZ, then when I was about to fill out NZ EOI...nyek, hindi pala ako allowed. Kalungkot! Medyo ayaw ko na mangyari yun :)

Pero it won't affect naman yun ranking, right since you haven't submitted EOI yet. I haven't done Skills Assessment and IELTS yet kasi research mode pa ako.

Invited and decline? Hmmm, parang mahirap ata ito as if you get invited, your EOI will be frozen for 2 months before the invitation will be revoked. If you are invited twice and you did not apply, you will be blacklisted ata or some sort.

If you are really curious right, why don't you just make a fictitious character with an email - put all your details there except of course your name and your correct email. Send it and try to see if you can get an invite...

To be honest, I did that before and place all the anticipated score ni misis. It got generated an invite but di hinayaan ko na... B-)

My wife's application is okey, we got the + assessment from CPA Australia last 25th Sept then pass na kami ng EOI. 5 days later we got our invitation to lodge our visa, and visa was lodged mga 4 hours later, eheheh! atat ang tawag dun... :))

Waiting nalang for the CO - did na the NBI thing and we will be doing the medicals sa sabado. Hope all will be okey! But yeah, waiting still sucks!! :p

@psychoboy - once naglodge ka na ng EOI then you get the invite from DIAC, ano-ano kelangan na docs to submit? This is also the time that you have to pay the 3060AUD, right?

There is a checklist of docs that you need to upload once you have passed your visa application... Yeah, the final step before your visa is lodged is the payment of AU$3,060.

    Cheers!!

Eto po ang sabi ng DIAC:

If you apply for a General Skilled Migration visa on or after 1 July 2012 and you are not
nominated by a state or territory government, you must nominate an occupation from Schedule1 of the SOL.

If you apply for a General Skilled Migration visa on or after 1 July 2012 and you are nominated
by a State or Territory Government, a direct entry stream Employer Nomination Scheme visa, a
Subclass 457 (Business (Long Stay)) visa or a Subclass 442 (Occupational Trainee) visa you
must nominate an occupation from either Schedule 1- Skilled Occupation List or Schedule 2 -
    Consolidated Sponsored Occupation List.

so to answer your question, kung sched 2 po yung nominated occupation, you would need a State Sponsorship.

Occupation: Analyst Programmer (ANZSCO Code 261311)
May 21 2012 - lodged visa 176 (NSW) online application
    May 30 2012 - CO allocation
    Jul 16 2012 - Visa Granted! (IED Deadline: May 16, 2013)
    Jan 19 2013 - Arrived in Sydney
Jan 20 2013 - Started our job hunt
    Mar 11 2013 - Officially became a "HOUSE-BAND" :)
    Apr 22 2013 - End of my "HOUSE-BAND" career :)

Same case kame ni sticky_note.

Papano po ba yun, magaaply ba muna ng SS or lodge EOI sa Skillselect under visa 190 after Skill Assessment and IELTS..which come first application for SS or EOI? Pasensya na sa tanong.

Hello, it is indicated that the deadline for submitting EOIs is on jan 1,2013. Does that mean na next july 2013 pwede magsubmit or mag update sa skillselect? I feel that I can have my requirements completed early next year pa eh.

Guys, found it somewhere sa isa sa mga discussions dito. Check the note on page 2:http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/pdf/points-tested-visas.pdf.
Mukhang wala nga deadline if tama pagkakaintindi ko sa "Note: Until 1 January 2013 intending skilled migrants in Australia may be able to submit an Expression of Interest, through SkillSelect, for one of the new points tested visas (the 189, 190 and 489) and/or make an application outside of SkillSelect for an 885, 886 or 487 visa, provided they meet eligibility requirements."

I think ung keyword is "..intending skilled migrants in Australia...".

    sorry bout the misinterpretation.

    Thanks @eischied_21 and @psychoboy.

Hello everyone! Been lurking for quiet some time and this time, I felt the need to have somebody else's opinion. I have applied for Canada's Independent Migration and bad chance has gotten into me with that recent change in their immigration policies, money and efforts wasted. Right now, I am considering Australia.

Which gives better, or faster chance to migrate? As independent applicant or as a state sponsored applicant? I am a nurse with more or less three years experience and masters. (please know im not bragging with masters thingy. I am just laying out facts which I think is helpful. =)) I currently working as a flight attendant in an international airline.

If anybody can give me their insights, I will be grateful. Thanks in advance! =)

To answer your first question, with the advent of skillselect, I think parehas na ang processing time ng 189/190. >> for more details on difference between these 2 visas, please refer to the webpage of skillselect: http://www.immi.gov.au/skills/skillselect/
Eto naman ang thread for nurses; maybe you can address your 2nd query there: http://www.pinoyau.info/discussion/477/what-are-the-options-for-nurses#Item_35

psychoboy: thank you for the prompt reply. i have checked the links you have given me and i was confused all the more. i keep reading that the nurses' option to ge to australia is through a student visa, get a bridging course and then hopefully will get a job? is there by chance one can apply as independent migrant and later will convert one's education that of the state required? say, i will go there on an independent immigrant visa, then by the time i have decided to work as a nurse, i will first avail of the bridging course and later on be certified as a registered nurse?

my husband has been a test engineer for five years. who, between the two of has better chance of getting visa?

thank you in advance for future replies! :)

my husband has been a test engineer for five years. who, between the two of has better chance of getting visa?

thank you in advance for future replies! :)
From what I know, walang nakakapasa na Filipino Nurse as skilled migrant - it has something to do with the curriculum ng country natin kaya there is a need of a bridging course. As I have said, for more details, fire it away sa Nurse Forum... They would be in the best position to answer you.

Likewise, meron din forum for Engineer... You can fire away questions re: your husband there.

    Goodluck! :)

Question po about Including my Partner to my application:

Kailangan po ba meron na IELTS yung partner ko kapag nag logged ako sa EOI? Isasama ko po sya sa application pero hindi ko pa sya kukuhan ng points.

Meron na po ba dito nag de facto relationship?

@LokiJr kuya, pano po yung points sa work experience? Kasi ganito yon, 2 kasi degree ko mas malaki ang experience ko dun sa isa tapos sa Nursing naman may 1 year 8 mos ako as a nurse agent sa call center tapos 4-5 mos as private duty nurse tapos volunteer nurse for 2 years kasi hirap talaga makakuha sa atin ng work ang nurse sa hospital. As pharmacist naman mga 5 years. Im currently here in Victoria for cpl/ bridging program para maqualify and to gain reg sa APHRA as a Nurse dito.

May kapatid naman po ako who can sponsor my if in case di ako abot sa skilled independent kaso sabi matagal daw yun.

Pahelp naman po para maliwanagan ako. Thank you.
