Hi All,

I'm new to this forum and I needed some advices from those who submitted skills assessment to ACS. I'm planning to submit an application kasi for skills assessment (ICT Project Manager) however I am not sure if I am qualified since yung work experience is only 3 years from a multinational company here in Cebu but it is closely related to the ANZSCO Descriptions for ICT Project Manager. With this, anyone can confirm if my belief is really correct? hehe. na closely related ang job description ko the ANZSCO description? And my 3 years experience, makaka kuha kaya ako ng "Suitable" assessment nito? saying kasi yung $500 f babagsak.

Here are the ANZSCO Description for "ICT Project Manager":
Plans, organises, directs, controls and coordinates quality accredited ICT projects. Accountable for day-to-day operations of resourcing, scheduling, prioritization and task coordination, and meeting project milestones, objectives and deliverables within agreed timeframes and budgets.
Description of Employment Duties:
 analyzing information needs and specifying technology to meet those needs
 formulating and directing information and communication technology (ICT) strategies, policies and plans
 directing the selection and installation of ICT resources and the provision of user training
 directing ICT operations and setting priorities between system developments, maintenance and operations
 overseeing the security of ICT systems

And this is my job Description and responsibilities:

These professionals enable more effective program management at lower cost that increases the overall quality of Delivery. They support projects in the Delivery Centers by tracking and managing project management office activities. They proactively monitor, manage and report on execution of deliverables. They recognize and solve issues. Master communicators, they manage across multiple stakeholders to align priorities and direction.

Kung 3 yrs palang talaga work experience mo baka hindi ka makakuha ng points since usually nag babawas pa sila ng experience. May factor din kung anong section ng school mo.

Lumabas na results nung July 6 invite rounds. For 2613 April 20 with 65points yung last na nainvite so 1 month backlog pa nga talaga for 65pointers. Nag check ako ng immitracker last nainvite ng 60points was February 17. Hintayan lang talaga or pataas pa ng points.

@guenb @Noodles12 Salamat po sa reply. I graduated with BSIT in Iligan Medical Center College po I think section 2 lang xa. My current role po is a Project Management Officer, but I'm just an Analyst di pa po Manager, hehe but yes I am in IT Industry.

My plan kasi is to go with Subclass 500 (Student Visa) pero if possible kasi ma pasok yung experience as suitable, subclass 489 ang ita try ko, since my sponsor ako na kuya. And currently kaya ko maka kuha ng 50 points (Age + english), pero pag subclass 489 I think kailangan padin e assess ang experience mo ng ACS.

@vbarry25 yes you really need the assessment from ACS plus the english exam, regarding the sponsorship by family your brother needs to live in a designated area for him to be a sponsor & for you to have that extra 10pts. On a side note, for visa 489 via family sponsorship, occupation must be in SOL

I can say with your 3years of experience it's a bit of a risk, kasi it's possible they will require you 4years, pero sabi nga nila it's a leap of faith, you'll never know unless you have your credentials assessed. Good Luck!

Uy, thank you dun sa Google Docs! Nag check rin ako sa immitracker eh. So far wala pa ako nakikita don nagpapasa na 70pointers ulit so hoping na wala magpasa para more chances sa'tin mga 70 below. Haha

May tanong po ako. I'm planning to send my details to ASC para ma assess ako. Currently I have 4 years of total work experience and a bachelor's degree. Sana ma assess ako as major ICT tapos with a deduction yun of 2 working years. So, it means I have 2 years remaining for points to be claimed for the immigration. But we all know di counted yung 2 years diba? 3 years and above ang minimum for 5 points. Okay lang ba yun na mag send ako ng application sa ACS and next year na ako mg submit sa Immigration ng details ko para ma claim ko yung 5 points for 3 years experience and above?

There is another option for me though, I don't have to wait for next year pero Skilled Nominated Subclass 190 yung kunin ko to reach 60 points.

But my main question is yun nga, pde ba mag apply sa ACS now, then I'll have the updated working experience next year to be submitted sa immigration?

Thanks sa mga mag answer. I'll prepare my docs tomorrow for ACS kasi, sana papalarin.

@tomangelo sure pwede ka talaga magpa-assess now, your result naman is good for two years so in case you'll use it next year pa, no need na umulit. Then have the updated working experience next year to be submitted sa immigration.

@tomangelo if unsuitable meron option for review/appeal basta within 60days I think, check mu na lang sa ACS website. Fee is AU$395 you can add supporting docs w/c can help with the review. After 60 days it's already considered as new application & new payment na

Yun nga eh, hopeful lang ako. I checked the list of schools and luckily section 1 naman siya, ewan ko nalang sa grades ko. Hahaha

What I'm worried is yung Course ko is BS Computer Engineering pero may major kasi kami sa school, so major in Computer Networks ako. Yung gusto ko i-nomiate sa ANZSCO is Software Engineer kasi yun yung work experience ko for my two companies. Sana ma assess as Closely related to the nominated occupation at di lang sila mag focus dun sa computer networks na major ko kasi basically konting subjects lang yung mga difference nun sa ibang majors namin sa CompE. Tska mostly, kaming mga CompE graduates parang software engineer lang din yung work. Natatakot ako ma deduct ng 4 years sa work experience ko kasi need ko yung points for 3 years and up.

Nabalitaan ko yung pagbabago na 70 points for South Australia. Kasama ba dun yung victoria? Which is south east? Anong mga lugar affected nun? Like adelaide?

Should the 5 notarized work references be scanned into 1 file and filename should be "Reference" as it is the attachment type? Or it should be 5 PDF files? If that's the case I wonder if I can use Reference, Reference1, Reference2.. etc as their filenames.

On the ACS document it says

Consolidate all pages into one PDF document for each qualification and each employment entry.

Could anyone explain this? Intindi ko dito ay lahat ng docs sa isang pdf file lang. Ano ibig sbihin ng each qualification AND each employment entry?

For each work experience mo isang entry. 1 PDF file pedeng multiple pages.

sakin ang ginawa ko since multiple position per company ako. (if na promote or nag iba ng position title) per position may entry ako.

e.g.

Company 1, junior staff = 1 PDF file
Company 1, Senior staff = 1 PDF file (same as the first one)
Company 2 = 1 PDF file

actually kahit nasa section 1 school mo sir, pwede ka parin madeduct ng 4 or 6 yrs, depends kung hinde talaga sya related sa nominated occupation mo... expect the worst case nalang sir... medyo masama kasi sa pakiramdam yung mali yung output ng expectations mo... hehe!

pero hopefully maging ok lahat.. lahat naman tayo dito ganon ang gusto...

How about yung other requirements? Like yung TOR, Diploma, Passport ko? yung COE (Reference) ko is two companies, tapos two positions each pero one page per company yung ginawa ko, may inclusive dates lang yung positions. Same sa sample na binigay ng ACS.

So with my example:
Company 1-> position1, position2 = 1PDF file
Company 2-> position1, position2 = 1 PDF file

The remaining docs I have?
TOR & Diploma = 1 PDF file?
Passport = Another 1 PDF file?

So in total I will be sending 4 PDF files? please correct me if I'm wrong.

Good point, yun naman tlaga mantra ko in life. Expect less.
This brings me to my next question, sa mga Computer Engineer jan, ano yung mga nominated occupation niyo na considered kayo as bachelor's degree ACT major tapos 2 years deduction? I'm planning software engineer kasi, mas gusto ko yung path na yun.

@tomangelo ok naman na yung pag list mu ng pdf file. Actually yung entry kasi sa ACS parang per work episode so khit nka include sa iisang pdf file okay lang nman yun na ma i-upload uli. May case naman kasi sympre na sa isang company multiple positions. Don't worry so much about it, parang tulad sa case ko yung 2 working episodes ko e same pdf file lang naman inupload ko.
Yung TOR & Diploma pala e separate mu na lang.
With your course kasi as CoE yung hunch ko is 4years yung deduction, as per the ANZCO description eto yung subject na closely related sa SE, and naalala ko pa last year nagkaroon ng discussion sa thread kung anu yung mga closely related na NOCs with respective courses

Mag sesend na ako documents sa ACS today or tomorrow after ko ma scan at maayos as pdf files. By the way, yung balitang 70 points na yung for South Australia, kasama ba yung melbourne dun? yun kasi balak kong puntahan sana for state sponsorship (to get higher points)

Another question.
For Skills application type, there are four options.
Yung option 3 pipiliin for visa 189/190 noh?
3. Skills (Qualifications and details of Experience must be supplied)

Other options are 1. Temporary Graduate, 2. Post Australian Study skills assessment, 4. RPL

Just clarifying on this baka magkamali ako hehe
