@Heprex sir, I just need your opinion if ano ang magiging score ko sa qualification based on my qualifications:
1. 2009, Natapos ko yung course ko na BS-IT from Letran. (4 year course)
2. 2008, Na-achieve ko yung Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer which is recognized ni ACS

I'm still waiting for the assessment (Software Engineer, 261313), probably this week ko siya ma-receive.

@lipatbahay Hello, tingin ko need mo mag masteral study na at least 30 units para makiha mo ang bachelors degree. And any vendor certifications is equivalent to AQF Diploma.

@poyers_38 Hello, if your average grade is 1.00 to 2.00, possible bachelors yan. But if not, associate degree. And any vendor certifications is equivalent to AQF Diploma.

@poyers_38 hello, please refer dun sa grade equivalent na inattach ko kahapon. I think 85-89 is 2.00.

@RheaMARN1171933 Hello po, ilang araw na po ako hindi mapakali, ang average grade ko po is 85.28% but if I convert each subject to 1-5 grade (1.0, 1.50, 2.00 2.50 etc) and then do an average, the average will only be 2.20+ which is not good for me. Ang TOR po kasi namin ay percentage basis lang so I hope they'll follow it as well.

Section 2 po kasi school ko, kaya I'm praying na sa makapasok ako sa Bachelor's Degree. I'm aiming for 2 years work exp deduction lang po sana. Total units taken is 187.0, 4 year course.

Anyway, I'll be receiving my ACS assessment this week.

@RheaMARN1171933 @Heprex Just an update lang on my case. My BS-IT degree has been assessed as comparable to an AQF Bachelor Degree with a Major in computing. However they still deducted 4 years on my work exp. Now, I will file for a review, I will risk the fee just to try and get the minimum deduction of work exp. I will upload the course outline from my school with seal and all, that can prove that my education is at least 65% closely related to Software Engineer.

Do you have experience on how to prove that your education or TOR is at least 65% closely related to your nominated occupation. Let me know guys, let's help each other!

@poyers_38 kunin mo lahat ng ict units ng course mo. Then 65% ata nun ata dapat match sa ict units ng nominated occupation mo. You can check this sa acs site, yung listahan nila ng anzsco code. Based sa mga nababasa ko dito dto dti pa, IT is more related sa 263111.

Question po,

ano po difference kung ang occupation ay nasa Medium-Long Term (MLTSSL) vs Short Term (STSOL) ?
Mas madali or mahirap ba ma-invite kung STSOL lang ang occupation ko?
Kapag STSOL lang ang occupation ko, pero na-invite po ako for a visa 190, then biglang nawala yung occupation ko sa STSOL, back to zero po ba ang application?

Mas inclined na po kasi ako mag try sa visa 190, to get the additional +5 points, and nag ccontemplate ako between these anzsco:

Occupation: Computer Network & Systems Engineer
ANZSCO: 263111
List: MLTSSL
Visa: Pwedeng 189 or 190

Occupation: Network Administrator
ANZSCO: 263112
List: STSOL
Visa: Pwedeng 190

Occupation: Network Analyst
ANZSCO: 263113
List: STSOL
Visa: Pwedeng 190

Mas pang Network Administrator lang kasi yung work duties ko.. Pero kung may disadvantage of processing kapag STSOL lang ang occupation, pwede ko din naman gamitin yung 263111, kaso hindi nga lang pang hardcore Network Engineer yung duties ko.

@just.anotherguy STSOL, it depends sa states kung nandun yung occupation mo sa list. Please note that states can change or remove the list as they please depending on their need. It doesnt mean na nasa list doon occupation mo, they are to approve your state nomination.. may own criteria sila to approve and even if you meet all their criteria, it is upon the states discretion to approve the nomination

Unlike sa MTSSL, occupations undergo some review by the DoHA consulting other labour and business bodies to know the demand Australia-wide. For me, it is a more stable list compared to STSOL

@just.anotherguy you need to nominate an occupation where your skills assessment outcome will likely be successful the most. Choosing an occupation because it is on mltssl or stsol is not the best approach to start with.

@RheaMARN1171933 the duties of 263111 and 263112 (Network Engineer & Network Admin) are almost interchangeable na din kasi.

hati lang yung loob ko dahil, yes ang 263111 is needed for the long term, kaso i can only go as max as 65points (given that ACS will deduct work experience pa).

Whereas if i choose to nominate 263112, possible to try visa 190(+5), or even visa 489(+10)

Either wala na, or sobrang taas na ng requirement nang 263111 sa mga state nominations, as of this writing.

@just.anotherguy you need to base it on the ANZSCO description and choose which tasks you do the most under the occupation. Nevertheless, they are still different occupations and you must provide evidences based on the tasks described in ANZSCO. This is how we guide our clients. All the best.

para sa reference na din ng iba, for 2631 occupations ng mga states:

Western Australia: wala

Tasmania: wala

North: pwede 263112, 113. pero kelangan may Job Offer ka na.

Queensland: pwede 263112, 113. pero kelangan Master's graduate ka from a Queensland university.

South: pwede 263111 (subject to the additional conditions*), 112, 113. Required minimum points is 70 points, and they will issue visa 489 only.

New South Wales: pwede 263111. pero highest point priority. kung sino pinaka mataas points, sya mauunang i-invite. (kung mataas points mo, eh di sana mag 189 ka na lang

)

Victoria (Melbourne): pwede 263111, you need to have Superior english and a minimum of 3 years work experience (i'm assuming this is the ACS assessed experience and not just based from your CV ? ) for visa 489, you need to have a job offer.

@RheaMARN1171933 thanks sa advise. Kaya po ako nalilito, kasi yung Description of Employment Duties, and Description of Closely Related Core ICT Units for 263111 and 112 are exactly the same. Yung first paragraph lang ang nag iba.

Then, yung work experiences ko kasi is a mix of 111 and 112 responsibilities, if pagbabasehan yung first paragraph.

Can I use the same assessment result if ever i am to lodge an EOI for visa 190?

Hi to All,

May question ulit. Anyone po can answer.

Saan mas kina kailangan ng developers or programmers (261312), sa VIC po ba? or sa NSW?
I know both states need them, pero there has to be one state na mas nangangailangan between the two.

Kasi baka mag apply ako for VIC, and then rejected naman pala or matagal, kumpara sa NSW na mabilis. Dunno.

Or worse, baka kapag nasa VIC na eh pahirapan rin naman makakuha ang mga pinoy for IT jobs tulad ng developers/programmers when it comes to the factors below:

1. No Australian local work experience
2. Low salary for non-locals
3. Racial discrimination (sana wala)

I've heard someone who managed to read a lot about the difficulty of getting IT jobs in VIC.

@NoelRubio Victoria is the IT hub of Australia. However, I don't think you'll ever get an accurate answer to your question. Everything is a gamble without any guarantees promised in the end.
