I need your kind advise on claiming education and employment points for a 189 visa.

I have a non-ICT related bachelor's degree. Therefore, the qualification was not assessed by ACS and was recommended to take the RPL route, which I did and got the following results:

Your skills have been assessed to be suitable for migration under 261311 (Analyst Programmer) of the
ANZSCO Code.

The following employment after August 2008 is considered to equate to work at an appropriately
skilled level and relevant to 261311 (Analyst Programmer) of the ANZSCO Code.

Dates: 08/02 - 08/11 (9yrs 0mths)
Position: Application Developer
Employer: ABC

Dates: 08/11 - 05/13 (1yrs 9mths)
Position: Application Developer
Employer: XYZ



Question 1:
Given that this is an RPL application, please let me know if I can claim a bachelor degree for my education (15 pts) and skilled employment after august 2008 which is 5 years (10) points.

Question 2:
If yes, what should I state for the following under my education history?:
Qualification
Course name
Institution name

Question 3:
Should I also include my non-assessed bachelor's degree under my education history?

Question 4:
I am still an employee of XYZ but my assessment date is only until 05/13. Can I still claim my experience after this date?

My assumptions were based on the following:
The Australian Skills Recognition Information (ASRI) for Analyst Programmer - 261311 states that:
This occupation has a level of skill commensurate with a bachelor degree or higher qualification. At least five years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification. In some instances relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification (ANZSCO Skill Level 1).

ACS states that:
The purpose of the RPL application is to give you the opportunity to demonstrate that you have acquired a level of knowledge equivalent to that of a formal tertiary ICT qualification.

Deducted 4yrs in his work exp.another 8mos not suitable kasi di detailed coe yung nasend namin.

So all in all umabot 13weeks.

congrats finally nakuha nyo na un result! 12 years na po ba nagwowork hubby nyo?
kasi At least eight and up to 10 years (of past 10 years) yung iassess lang nila as relevant.
so baka 2 years lang un deduction tapes since un another 2 years is not considered relevant kaya d na sya valid.

Anyway, 8 years is still 15 pts! plus another 15 pts for your degree! congrats!

Did anyone notice that ACS website changed the expected time from "8 to 12 weeks" to "Approximately 12 weeks"?
I thought I could get my result earlier!

I have a question sa mga nagsubmit ng document sa ACS.
Do I need to have my documents bearing the words 'CERTIFIED TRUE COPY'? or colored scan ng original document considered valid na?

Please advise.

As per ACS guidelines, colored copy is still a copy of the original so need to CTC it.

Certified Documents
All documents must be certified copies of originals and uploaded into the online application form as PDF files.
A document is a certified copy when the original document is photocopied or scanned and a person authorised to certify documents stamps and signs the copy, signifying that it is a true copy of the original document.
The following information is required on each page of your certified copy:
 The words “Certified True Copy of the Original”
 The signature of the certifying person
 The name, date and provider or registration number or designation (eg: Police Officer) of the certifying person
 Certification details must be legible on the copy

hi newbie here.

May tanong po sana ako.

Plan ko po sanang ipa-assess ang occupation ng husband ko as Developer Programmer.
Eto po yung mga previous work experiences nya.
a. Web Developer (April 2010-present = 3yrs 5mos) in Singapore
b. Programmer (March 2008-Nov2009 = 1yr 8mos) in Dubai
c. Platform Engineer (Sept2007-Feb2008 = 6mos) in Philippines
d. Programmer (May 2005-Aug2007 = 2yrs 3mos) in Philippines

1. Ang tanong ko po ay pwede po bang hndi ko na isama yung experiences sa dubai kasi wala po kasing mga supporting document gaya ng payslip at bank statement. Tpos yung nakalagay sa visa nya ay computer assembler which is programmer po yung work nya.

2. Pwede din bang hndi na rin isama yung 6months experienced nya sa manila, which is wala na kasi yung dati nya company.

3. So ang plano po ay kung ang ipapa-assess namin ay yung current job at yung year 2005-2007. Hindi po kaya magkaproblema kung malaki yung agwat ng year of experience na ipapa-assess namin?

Good PM. Maitanong ko lang po, after the recent change in ACS ruling may nakapagpaassess na ba dito via RPL at may result na? Ilang years po ang narecognize as relevant work experience?

My understanding is at the start of the 7th year (work experience), doon pa lang magsstart ang calculation ng # of years relevant work experience, tama po ba?

Hello Po sa lahat,

May tanong lang po ako. Gusto ko pong magapply ng visa 489 as 263112 Network Administrator. Gusto ko sanang mgpa asses sa acs pero may tanong lng po ako if tatanggapin ba nila ang CCNA. May nkalagay kasi dun sa description ng Network Administrator na CCNA pero sa ACS ay CCNP lang.

Appreciate po yung advise ninyo sa mga may experience po.

Last 10 years less 6 years = 4 years lang ang maximum claimable # of years under RPL?

Yup. 6 years will be deducted for RPL.

@habibi bossing pakishare po ng magiging sagot sa inyo ha if ever. para maging gabay na din po para sa mga planong mag RPL.

Ito po ba yung part na nagsasabi na 6 years ang mababawas sa total work experience kapag RPL?

You will need to have at least 6 years of full time professional ICT work experience if you hold a non ICT qualification and at least 8 years if you do not hold any tertiary qualifications.

I skipped the above part "Skilled Employment Date" as I thought it is not applicable to RPL guys. Tama po ba?
