Limit on State Sponsorship nominations for July
6 July 2012

The Department of Immigration and Citizenship has allocated Western Australia a limited number of nominations for State Sponsorship through SkillSelect in the month of July.

Once this limit has been reached, outstanding applications for State Sponsorship will be held until more places become available.

If you have lodged an application under transitional arrangements, this limit will not apply and applications will be assessed as normal.

@baronann : looks like they're eliminating the loopholes that can happen with the new skill select policy. kasi malamang madami magpapa-SS to get ahead. mas mabuti talaga na magapply ng maaga bago masarahan dahil sa SS limit and/or occupation ceiling.

Quick question lang po mga bossing about sa occupational ceiling from a newbie in this forum: Ang occupational ceiling number po ba ay pwede mag bago? Will it change anytime or it will change only after one year? If the occupational ceiling for a particular skill was consumed already mga ilang years bago ito mag reset uli?...thanks...

mukang mahirap po natin masabi kung magbabago within the year kasi parang yan ang plan nila for the year e. saka first time nila ito gagawin kaya lahat tayo bago pa sa ganitong policy nila. let's just wait and see.

@RichardQ, that's changed every year...inaanounce siya ng DIAC. So kung napuno na ang ceiling sa taong ito...apat na possibilities lang mangyayari next year: (1) tataasan nila; (2) liliitan nila yung ceiling lalo; (3) walang pagbabago; (4) tatanggalin yung occupation na yun sa migration list (yikes)

Off-topic, kailangan siguro natin palitan yung title ng thread tutal iba na ang visa class ng state sponsorship ngayon (hindi na 176) hehe

gandang araw po.. strict po ba ang states sa pag check ng years of work exp in considering sponsoring? nakita ko sa site nila may mga minimum.. pero parang hindi ko po ata nababasang nabanggit yun dito sa forum,, 2yrs pa lang kasi work exp ko.. TIA

@Captain_A : i would think na strict po sila kasi kelangan mo din isubmit ang skills assessment results sa SS application nyo. dun sa skills assessment (atleast for ACS), nakalagay dun ang mga credited working years and months mo. so from there pa lang, makikita nila agad kung ilan talaga ang working experience mo. if there's one thing i've learned about my oz visa application, strict sila sa documents/evidences you provided to prove everything that you are claiming in your application.

@hotshot , thank you sir.. nakakapanghina naman.. pasok naman ako sa points para 190.. kaso kulang ako sa work exp.. baka 489 na lang,.. relative sponsor.. salamat uli sa quick response.. nasa Oz na ba kayu?

Reply to @Captain_A: saan nyo po ba balak magapply ng state sponsorship? kung libre naman sa state na gusto nyo applyan ng sponsorhip, baka pwede nyo din subukan. kaso based on my experience, talagang sinusunod nila kung ano man ang requirements na defined sa state nila. antay natin yung iba dito sa forum baka meron silang maipayo.

wala pa po ako sa oz e. nagaantay pa din sa FBI Clearance ng wife ko. yun na lang kulang namin.

Sa WA po sana sir, kaso parang may minimum exp dapat, andun kasi ang tita ko kaya mas preferred ko dun.. gusto ko din sana hanggat maari permanent visa na, nbasa ko dito dame benefits.. masyado pa po ba bata at alanganin ang 24y/o engr at 2 yrs exp p lng para sa oz dream? abot ko nmn ang minimum points.. sa queensland 5yrs min work exp pati sa NSW.. sa SA at victoria ako pasok sa work exp..

Reply to @Captain_A: i suggest, i check mo lahat ng possibilities kung saan ka pwede.. first kung ang assessing authority will qualify you sa experience mo na 2yrs, then secondly, kung aling visa ang pwede, kung aling state ang acceptable ang experience mo..

kung pwede nmn yan, why don't you try..

parang wla akong nabasang min years of experience required...
at kung sa Engrs Aus ka magpapa-assess, wala din nmn akong nabasang min years required.. in fact you can use you school thesis to demonstrate your skills sa CDR..

another note, DIAC will award points for work experience (3yrs = 5pts), and this is at the time of invitation, so kung magapply ka ngaun, at mainvite ka next year na 3 yrs na work exp mo, you will have that 5 pts na..

hello po. ask ko lang if tama pagkakaintindi ko. un nominated skill namin is nasa CSOL at wala sa SOL-1 kaya we're planning to go through SS route. tama po ba na even wala sa SOL-1 i can still meet the DIAC requirements as long as nasa CSOL un occupation?

1. check if occupation is in CSOL
2. check state SOL

Tama ba intindi ko, pwede pala akong mag-apply per state? May dagdag rin na 5 or 10 points doon sa mga point-based visas?

either visa 190 (state) - 5 pts...
or Visa 489 (relative in designated area) - 10 pts

Reply to @augusto: depende sa state, ang alam ko sa SA, WA and Queensland need yung proof of funds. Pero SA hindi gnun ka strict sa proof, hindi ka hihingan ng docs about the proof of funds. Sa NSW alam ko walang funds na needed.

Hi guys tanong ko lang - i am eligible for state sponsorship but 55 points lng kasama ung sponsor, kailangan ko bang abutin muna ang 60 points bago mg apply for state sponsorship? Thanks.

@teddy yes you need at least 60 points to get a state sponsorship visa. Hindi nmn kailang 60 points agad pag nag apply ka ng state sponsorship. At 55 points without the nominated state sponsorhip points is ok.

question lang po. i submitted my EOI last July 1 with 65 points for visa 189. til now ala pa ako invitation. im planning of applying for SS, considering na most of invitees ay may SS. kailangan ko na ba i update ung EOI ko now to visa 190.

any insights will be highly appreciated

for state sponsorship ba.. like for victoria... kelangan muna bang mag apply sa skillselect bago mag pass ng state sponsorship application? i noticed kac na meron EOI number nire-require sa ibang states...
