Newbie here! :D Im working as a Secretary here in Dubai for almost 4 yrs now. Pansin ko po kasi puro Engineers ang andito pero try ko na rin ang case ko. I was planning to take 489 visa which sponsored by a relative but unfortunately i was informed that my job was not included on the list as per EIO. So here's the questions:

    1. Dapat po ba 489 visa but Nominated by State na lang o 190 visa? Ano pong masusugest nyo?

    2. Confuse lang po ako sa CSOL for visa 190 at 489 (nominated by state) at SNOL kasi nung icheck ko ung state nomination for South Australia may SNOL pa which is my job is not included. Paclarify naman po.

    Maraming salamat!

    @basha -
    - first you have to check if your skill is in the SOL/CSOL (eto po ang master list, so kung wala dito.. hindi talga pwede.. you have to look for other options)
    - then if you require state sponsorship, kailangan nandun din sa listahan ng state ang skill mo

so you have to satisfy these two requirements kung mag aaply ka ng 190..

Visa 190 requires sponsorship from the state.. so kung wala sa state na un ang skill mo, they will not be able to sponsor you... you have to check other states..

Visa 489 is sponsored by relative, who is living in a designated area...

    hi everyone,

I'm an undergraduate of Tourism and currently a call center agent. I'm really interested to work in Australia but i don't know where and how to start. I checked the SOL and Call Center Manager is on the list, however, im only an agent. Would my position as an agent still falls under Call Center Manager? Should the IELTS exam comes from AU?

    Thank You

    Hi Nisnis,

I will try to answer your questions, first, dapat po alamin nyo muna yung mag-assess ng skills nyo. Sa Case nyo "Call Center Manager", under vetassess so eto yung link to help you understand kung ano yung dapat mo gawin:

    http://www.vetassess.com.au/migrate_to_australia/qa2_nominating_occupation.cfm

Dito nyo po malalaman kung suitable ang qualification dun sa nominated skills na gusto nyo.

Agent po eh iba sa Call Center Manager not unless very similar po yung ipapakita nyo na work experiences nyo as an agent to a Call Center Manager.

then kung nasa CSOL sya and nasa SA-SNOL sya, that means SA can sponsor her...

First and foremost @dakz, wala na 176 visa... This is already replaced by the 190 Visa - before you will be allowed to apply, you need to lodge an EOI and at the same time get state sponsorship.

You can include your fiancee in your application as a partner - just double check specifics on this as I am not too familiar with this.

    CHEERS!! :)

    see reply from @psychoboy above..

yes possible naman po yun... regarding changes of information/details including additional dependents while the the visa application is on process, meron pong form na kailangan fill-up and submit sa kanila..
malalaman mo yung form number, pag nagsubmit kana ng application...

ksama yan sa information i-send sa inyo pag nagka Case Officer na..

one thing to note though, ang processing ngaun from EOI-Visa application is < 3 months (guesstimate)..

so kung magpapakasal ka in the next 3 months, bkt di mo na lang hintayin at isabay agad ang secondary application.... para walang hassle...
    goodluck..

@sofabed pwede naman. kaso kapag nagapply ka ng citizenship dun ka magkakaproblema dahil ihohold nila ang application mo for citizenship hanggat di mo na tatapos yung 2 years na moral obligatin mo sa SS

@arch_jeffmatt - am curious on your statement na "ihohold nila ang application mo for citizenship hanggat di mo na tatapos yung 2 years na moral obligatin mo sa SS" - where did you get this from Sir? Is there any written rule stating this?

I know there is an obligation to fulfill your state sponsorship requirements but I am not sure if it was spelled our in writing yung consequence if you choose not to follow it... :)

    @psychoboy sa kabilang forum http://www.expatforum.com/expats/australia-expat-forum-expats-living-australia/127408-state-sponsorship-citizenship.html

and pagdating mo sa AU kailangan mong inform yun State na nagsponsor sayo na dumating ka na sa AU dahil may survey na sasagutan every 6 months yata for 2 years.

@psychoboy kahit di sya nakalagay sa DIAC nakalagay naman sa SS aggrement na pinirmahan mo na you need to live and work for atleast two years sa nagsponsor sayo isa yun sa mga condition ng SS. kaya kapag nagapply ka ng citizenship at hindi ka man lang naka two years sa SS makikita ng DIAC yun sa record mo.

@arch_jeffmatt : actually naghahanap din ako ng information about sa 2 years residency requirement for SS. although wala akong nakikita na coming straight from DIAC, lahat ng tao sa ibang forums yun ang sinasabi. yung moral obligation daw sa australia is as good as a legal obligation. hindi man nila babawiin ang PR grant sayo kahit sa ibang state ka tumuloy, dun ka naman daw babawian pag nagapply ka na ng Resident Return Visa or ng citizenship.

@arch_jeffmatt - i know where you are coming from and i do believe that if and when you do not fulfill your obligation when issued a state sponsorship, this will come to haunt you sooner or later (being when you apply for citizenship or re-entry permit after 5 yrs of being PR) :)

@psychoboy does this mean that you have to stay in that state immediately on initial entry? or as long as you complete the 2 yrs within the 5 yr span it's still ok?

nothing was specified anywhere BUT in my opinion, since you were given state sponsorship by that state, it is just right that you will spend your first 2 yrs there...

I mean I don't see the point in applying to a different state only to really live in either Melbourne or Sydney... Clearly it is not right, when you look at it as it is.

@sofabed, you dont have to be there for 2 yrs on initial entry... in fact i've read some made their initial entry to another state (other than their SS)...

example: Initial entry first in sydney (because you want to visit relatives)...
then move to your state sponsor...

@glaiza1210: im not suggesting that.. the best way is to contact DIAC..
but reading the obligation stated in the website.. it does not say, that you have to be there for the FIRST two years... in fact it just say.. stay for at least two years..

Reference DIAC: you are nominated by a State or Territory government, you need to agree to:

    - remain in the State or Territory for a period of at least two years
    - keep the State or Territory government informed of changes in address details before and after arrival
    - be prepared to complete surveys and provide information as required.
