@cind3r3lla hi sis, question lang. If we decided not to settle sa AU and stay pa muna sa Dubai, taxable ka na ba nun kasi PR ka na? Thanks

Hello everyone! My fiance and I are also in the process of applying sa Au. Im an accountant, tapos sya, walang specialization (we're both in Dubai). Like, graduate ng B.S. ComSci pero sa real estate as back office nagwowork. He's worried na baka wala syang mahanap daw sa Au, especially since okay na sweldo nya dito. Baka daw may mahanap man sya, mababa naman ang sweldo (minus tax and superannuation pa). Ano po bang masasabi nyo para maconvince ko sya or magkaron sya ng peace of mind about sa paglipat namin? May chance kaya sya sa dyan sa Au? Kasi pati ako honestly napapaisip na din.. Thanks in advance!

    shoo mushkila? :))

Nag work po ako sa Dubai for almost 8 years before I moved here in Melbourne last month. No regrets po kahit mahirap magsimula, 1 month nakahanap na ako ng work at for sure kayo rin makakahanap when you decide to move.

Masarap kumita dyan kasi walang tax lalo na kung malaki sweldo, pero kikitain mo din naman dito yan for sure, unless kumikita kayo ng 50k dirhams a month :D

@wanderer Good Day. Thanks in advance sa reply. ;)

@abby_bm good luck sa BM. Nasa dubai din kami, been here for 8years. Hehehe. Plan BM sa Sept. Agree, hirap iwanan ang nakasanayan, pero exciting din venturing into something new, and prejudged as something good.

@zacc, I took my PTE sa may Al Barsha. Check the PTE website for test locations, mas malapit kasi sa akin yong Al Barsha.

I've lived in Australia for a few years now and honestly it's a really incredible country, there's really something to keep you busy all year round with lots of cities to visit, lots of activities and people are really welcoming.

I went on vacation to join some friends in Dubai, it's very nice but I think you go around pretty fast, I won't be able to live there all year. There is a lot of activity but you quickly go around after a while, and the heat is complicated to manage

$3,300 per month budget for a family of four will probably be tight...

In my Opinion its depending on your personal choice but I think the most difficult question is the cost of living, the salary after that both are great !

Simple lang sagot ko if i have to choose bet Aus and UAE.

    Aus. why?

-coz sa any mideast country, andoon lagi yung possibilty na magka gera coz of their extremism sa faith nila.
-in 2016 bumagsak price ng oil and gas, result? mass lay off kabi2la. fear is always there and nobody is safe.
-kung comfort and konting leisure, mas relaxed daw ang atmosphere sa Aus, closed sa nature and once you got that AUs visa, if mahilig ka magtravel, Aus passport is so powerful na you can visit so many countries na ndi na need ng visa. You can as well visit UAE ulit in the near future to see the progress and development pa ng mga biggest, largest, tallest structures. =)
-benefits of being an Aus citizen. gaya ng sabi nila, may tax nga pero ibinabalik ng gov sa service sa mga resident and country itself. unlike sa Pinas, sa bulsa ni Gloria, Marcos, Bong Revilla, Jinggoy, Napoles napunta (sorry admin for this, please delete this na lang if foul na po. ndi ko lang maiwasang di sabihin coz it hurts lang talaga for us na tax payers sa Pinas)

    Peace out!

*May 2016 -Heard one friend sharing stories about Australia
-Had my research the ff.day about my job opportunity in Australia
-Become aware about PTE, ANZSCO and VETASSESS
    *Sept.2016 - 1st attempt of PTE (Dubai). LRSW = 83/71/76/83
*Dec.2016 - Submitted docs to VETASSESS for Skills Assessment
*Feb.2017 - Positive result from VETASSESS
(Only chance of EOI was in SA which require high points for a 489 visa)
*Mar.2017 - 2nd attempt of PTE (Phil). LRSW = 86/76/65/90 (unsuccessful to get superior)
    *Nov.2017- I turned 40, which means minus 10 pts. =(
    - Started to lose hope and forget my Aus dream for a while
*July 2018 - NT, SA and Tasmania were open
    - I needed to get a superior score from PTE
*Aug. 2018 - 3rd attempt of PTE (Dubai). LRSW = 57/69/84/56 (scores were awful)
(Despite my scores, I am determined and wont stop til i get that superior)
    *Oct.2018 - 4th attempt of PTE (Phil). LRSW = 79/90/83/86 (at last!)
*Nov.2018 - EOI Northern Territory, Tasmania and SA
    *Aug.1, 2019 - Northern Territory ITA
*Aug.7, 2019 - Official NT Skillselect ITA (Hired MA for visa lodging)
    *Aug.20, 2019 - Lodged Visa
(Whatever the outcome is, life goes on & Im forever grateful to the Lord)
    *Nov.18, 2019 - 489 Visa direct grant

    Thank you Lord

Hello, I have never been to Dubai. But I worked in Qatar for 12 years.

Why not?

Walang balanse between work and life. Puro kayod.

Dito mas masaya at mas maluwag ang buhay at trabaho. Maganda ang tanawin, hindi puro buhangin. Madali makapasyal.

Also, life in MidEast looks so temporary. No chances of becoming a citizen.
In Aus, you can establish a permanent life here once you become a citizen.

I definitely agree with this. If temporary stay and money making opportunities, Dubai is a good choice. But over all long term for a person and his family, I'd choose Au.
