Hi everyone,
First gusto kong magpasalamat sa Panginoon, dasal lang at magpasalamat mapa ok or hindi
ang nagawa nyo sa exam, next sa mga tao sa forum na ito, salamat sa inyo! Let's see each other in OZ.
I took this exam with only 2 hours of sleep. My schedule was 9A.M. I was already sleeping at 12AM and woke up at 2A.M. and
unfortunately, di na makatulog. I treat sleep more important than money so you could imagine how frustrated I was
before magexam dahil wala kong tulog.
Pero sayang ang bayad, kaya sabi ko tiwala lang.
Kung meron man sa inyong mapupuyat dahil sa kaba, tuloy nyo lang ang exam.

These are my tips for everyone:

Speaking
General tips:
Lakasan nyo boses nyo with conviction.
Wag nyong piliting gayahin pano magsalita ang mga foreigner.
Di maarte ang english ko pero naka superior ako dito sa part na to. Mataas din pronunciation at fluency ko so
wala talaga sa arte ng english, basta maintindihan lang kayo, un ang mahalaga.

Read Aloud
I used the initial alloted time para basahin n agad ung passage.
Finamiliarize ko yung sarili ko sa mga words na pwede akong mag stutter.
I'm not sure if this will help because karamihan dito ay binibilisan ang pagbasa.
Mine is different, average lang ang speed ko, hindi ko binibilisan ng sobra but I make sure I put stresses on
important words. I also make sure I pause on comma especially on period. Magbasa kayo ng parang may conviction,
avoid a robot like sound na parang bata ang nagbabasa. Dapat parang news reporter ang dating or parang nakikipagdebate.

Repeat Sentence
Average lang ako dito, mas madami akong hindi kumpleto kaysa kumpletong sentence.
Pero kinukuha ko yung first 3 words at other important words kung di ko masasabi lahat.
May time na nagiimbento lang din ako. Malakas pa din boses ko like read aloud.

Describe Image
I just use Sir @Heprex template.
Special thanks to sir @Heprex sa templates! Godbless you sir!
Make sure masabi nyo yung intro and conclusion,
kasi if matataranta kayo sa body, atleast bawi sa content sa templates from intro at conclusion.
Again, lakasan ang boses with conviction.

Retell Lecture
Once again, same as describe image, I also use Sir @Heprex template.
Just make sure to get the main idea. Wag puro sulat lang.
Get the details at kung may malapagsan kayong mga sentence,
hanap kayo sa mga susunod na sentence ng data na pwede nyong isingit sa template.
Again, lakasan ang boses with conviction.

Answer short questions.
One up to 2 words is enough. Sagutin nyo lang yung tanong.
Lakasan nyo boses nyo. Don't mind other test takers.
Mahal ang exam, focus.

Writing
General tips:
Dapat maghanda na kayo ng mga idea sa essay.
Study previous essay pte questions. Kahit basahin nyo lang, nsa net naman yan, just google it.

Summarize Written Text
Study how to use semicolons and comma with the use of FANBOYS.
Search this on google malaking bagay to for combining 2 independent clauses.
Kunin ang main idea ng paragraph .

@SirLuis pa sample naman kahit isa lang kung pano mo sinagot and summarize written text. Eto po kasi ang struggle ko ;-)

@kzander22 gamit ka po ng template sa retell mam. Yung mga kila sir @heprex at @batman. Then pag magnotes ka, yung mga key point nalang. Tas yun nalang ishoot mo sa templates. Para lang may masabi in during recording.

@Supersaiyan I think important din yun consistency. if mabagal ka, dapat mabagal din sa lahat. may points din ata yun from what I read. if nattranscribe ni dictation.io yun sinasabi mo then most likely tama or malinaw pagkakapronounce mo. marami rin ako na wrong grammer or nonsense na yun sinasabi ko kc d ko talaga naintindihan yun lecture but since derecho lang ako nagsalita and same pace, ayun naka 90 pa din hehe d ko inexpect actually. good luck!

Hello got my PTE result at 6:42 PM. Nag take ako kahapon ng hapon sa RELC.
L74 R72 S67 W77. Thank you Lord for the guidance at lahat lahat tlga. Your will Lord not mine. I always believe na God's plan is > than mine.

Thank you sa lahat ng contributors dito sa forums lalo na sa mag share ng tips/reviewers at sa templates ni @Heprex. Umaga ng exam ng memorize ako sa writing template at nagamit ko tlga.

Sunday before it ng open na ako nung shi-nashre ko na PTE app na my 3 sets. Isa lng na try ko at hindi pa lahat pa jump2 lng ako, sumablay ako describe image at re-tell lecture, jan ako sure na sure na bagsak kasi nawawala ako.

Reading part meron pa 10mins left pero tapos na ako, kasi nag wo-worry ako sa time kala ko kakapusin sa ibang parts, so minamadali ko basa , yun iba hinuhula ko na lng sagot sa kakamdali ko meron pa sobra 10 mins.

Nag break ako ng 2 mins tapos listening na agad. Meron natira 6mins kais nagmamadali din ako dito baka makulang ako sa oras. Based sa performance ko exam, at sa hindi pg pa-practice , lge lng ako basa2 dito ng mga posts pero d ko sya pina practice kasi umiiral katamaran pero bait ni Lord!

One thing I learned about the whole experience, is need lng tlga ng practice as in pa ulit2 hanggang sa masanay ka na. Esp sa describe image, retell lecture at write from dictation. Kasi mahirap mg sulat at makinig tapos sasalita pa after. And prayer. Kapit lng tlga.

Mag re-take ako next year to main 20 points sa PTE. ngayon kasi kapos pa score pede ng EOI pero maliit chance ma invite. hehe.

Speaking pala, pansin ko wala nman issue mic? Kasi my testing nman sa mic bago start, d kaya sa scoring tlga mababa like sa akin mababa speaking kasi mali2 sinasabi ko. Opinion ko lng nman hehe. Godbless sa ating lahat.

Hello Everyone!

Nakuha ko na din result ng PTE ko after 10days na paghihintay and sobrang worth it!!! Until now di pa din ako makapaniwala sa results ko:

L=83
R=83
S=85
W=90

Thank you Lord!!! 2nd take ko lang and nakuha ko na yung superior. Sobrang thank you @Heprex kasi gaya ng sabi ko noon sobrang sinapuso ko yung tips mo, as in lage ko binabasa yun, and it really works! Nung pang-2nd take ko, di na ako masyado nagreview, binasa ko na lng ng binasa tips ni @Heprex talaga at ng iba dito. Thanks din kay @lottysatty
sa sample recording. Di ko naisip na makukuha ko talaga yung superior sa 2nd take ko kasi yung 1st take 0pts ako. Ang score ko nung 1st take is L/R/S/W 69/73/55/74. Basta may determinasyon ka and you give your all, masusuklian lage sa huli.

About sa tips, inappply ko lang din talaga yung mga nababasa ko dito. Kasi nacover naman lahat nila ng aspects. So yun din ginawa ko talaga and tried maiapply lahat ng mga yun. Basta during the exam, focus and feel good about yourself. Don't stress yourself too much (though given na yun hahaha). Lalabas lahat ng mga nireview at prinactice mo pag nakafocus ka at wag na wag mataranta.

@caeley hello, medyo mabagal pa for me. konting bilis pa po. Pati po yung mga pauses. Wag masyadong mahaba. Try mo kahit sa end of sentence ka lang mag pause, tapos pag sa comma, hinga ka lang. hehehe

@caeley yep, madaming factors ang nakaka-apekto sa speaking pag mock test. unless katulad nung exam mismo ang environment mo habang nag mock. Lalo na pag panget headset na ginamit mo sa speaking. tlagang mababa speaking sa mock.

for example sa mock exam ko. unang take ko 56 lang speaking. kasi internal mic ng laptop gamit ko. pero nung nanghiram ako ng apple headset, naging 71. pero nung exam mismo, puro 80+.

send ka pa ng sample mo sa speaking, dapat maging komportable ka sa speed mo.

@caeley nung 2nd take ko, speaking na lng talaga nireview ko kasi ang nangyayari talaga sakin sa speaking natatameme ako pag nakikita ko yung image tapos distracted ako nung 1st take kasi sabay sabay nagsasalita. So ang ginawa kong practice is nagdedescribe image ako tapos may background ako na BBC news na malakas sa youtube. So habang nagppractice ako ng mga speaking tasks, tinatry ko makafocus kahit may background noise. Yun talaga ginawa ko para mejo makasanayan ko yung ganung setting. Tapos sa pagsasalita ko, ulit ulit lang template ko talaga tapos sinisimplehan ko lang yung content para tuloy tuloy sa pagsasalita ako at di na masyado pa magisip.

Same goes for retell lecture, basta makakuha na ako 3 keypoints from audio,, okay na ako dun, diko pinapakinggan talaga yung the rest of the audio, ginagamit ko na yung time na yun para iprepare yung sasabihin ko kasi 10secs lang prep time mo after ng audio at di enough yun for me to compose myself hahaha. Yun kasing describe image at retell lecture ang hirap na hirap ako so dun ako nagfocus na lng para sa 2nd take ko. Nilakasan ko din pala yung boses ko kasi soft spoken ako talaga and yung position ng mic ko is 3 inches away and parallel to my mouth. Hope makatulong sayo
