@Supersaiyan paano mo nakuha yung 90 sa speaking? modulated ba yung voice mo? malakas or mahina ba? never kabang nagbackle?

@mallows0824, madali makakuha ang 79+ sa speaking kung may template kang gagamitin. May instance na nabubulol ako pero yung mga recent attempts ko above 79+ yung speaking. What's important dito is yung OF mo. Kapag mataas ang OF mo 90% of the time 79+ ang score mo for Speaking given that you give your response always in 30-35secs sa DI at Retell.

guys possible ba na mababa ang score sa practice scored exam pero sa actual mataas naman? nag exam kasi ko recently namemental block ako and nabigla sa format di ako prepared pero nagulat ako mas mataas score ko sa ineexpect ko nasa 6.5 pero sa ielts di ko maachieve ang score na to then nag practice exam nga ako ang baba nang nakuha ko nakaka dismaya. nagtaka lang ako mas madami ako nasagot ngaun dito sa practice test pero ang score ko ay 43-48-54-59 SRLW ang pronunciation ko 10 lang.

Tips para sa mga mag-take pa lang ng PTE

Part 1: Speaking & Writing

Read aloud - Basahin lang yung texts ng normal, 'wag mabilis at 'wag din mabagal. Imagine yourself na parang reporter sa TV, tapos mag-pause din sa commas and periods. Pronunciation ay important.

Repeat sentence - FOCUS. Kapag hindi mo maulit ng buo yung sentence, okay lang yun. Ang importante kapag hindi ka sure sa narinig mo, at least yung sound medyo gayahin mo, para lang yung dating eh nabuo mo yung sentence.

Describe image - use E2Language's structure, yun lang swear makukuha mo 'to.
INTRO: " This "TYPE OF CHART" represents "TITLE" which includes "CITE EXAMPLES FROM X/Y AXIS OF CHART"

BODY: Compare highest vs lowest, most vs. least or maximum vs. minimum.

Conclusion: In conclusion/To summarize..."yung pagkakaintindi niyo sa chart".
PLAN B: Since mabilisan 'to, minsan nakakalito mag-isip ng conclusion, pwede mo din sabihin na "In conclusion, the chart/table provided useful information about "TITLE".

NOTE: 'Wag na 'wag mag-pause.

Re-tell lecture - USE E2Language's structure. (PLEASE TAKE DOWN KEY WORDS)
a. The speaker was discussing "TITLE"
b. He/She talked about KEYWORD 1
c. He/She mentioned KEYWORD 2
d. He/She highlighted KEYWORD 3
e. He/She discussed KEYWORD 4
f. He/She talked about KEYWORD 5
g. He/She suggested that KEYWORD 6

TIP: Before mag-start yung section na 'to, sinulat ko yung structure sa provided na paper. Para yung keywords, parang i-fill in the blanks mo na lang.

Answer short question - madali lang 'to.

Summarize written text - make sure na include yung main point ng paragraph and at least one or two sub-points.

Essay - Ganun din, USE E2Language's structure.
Intro: Sentence 1: Rewrite "General Statement"
Sentence 2: Mention side 1 and side 2
Sentence 2: Give overall opinion

Paragraph 1: Sentence 1: Restate "Side 1"
Sentence 2: Give reason/s
Sentence 3: Give example/s
Sentence 4: Conclude "Side 1"

Paragraph 2: Sentence 1: Restate "Side 2"
Sentence 2: Give reason/s
Sentence 3: Give example/s
Sentence 4: Conclude "Side 2"

Conclusion: Sentence 1: Rewrite "General Statement"
Sentence 2: Give overall opinion 1 or 2

TIP: PRACTICE at TIME MANAGEMENT. Yung 20 minutes mabilis lang.

Part 2: Reading

Multiple choice, choose single answer - Understand the question tapos connect question sa answer options and then read text.

Multiple choice, choose multiple answers - at least two answers para safe

Re-order paragraphs - PRACTICE. use PTETUTORIALS(may app din sila)

Reading: Fill in the blanks - PRACTICE. use PTETUTORIALS. Collocations ang importante dito

Reading & writing: Fill in the blanks - PRACTICE. Clues mo para sa answers ay depende sa context, semantics, at grammar


Part 3: Listening

Summarize spoken text - Structure? Same lang ng RE-TELL LECTURE.

Multiple choice, choose multiple answer - at least two answers para safe

Fill in the blanks - madali lang 'to. Pero practice pa din. Press "TAB" para mag-skip sa next na blank.

Highlight correct summary - Okay din mag-take ng konting keywords, nakatulong siya sakin.

Multiple choice, choose single answer - PRACTICE. use PTETUTORIALS. Okay din mag-take ng konting keywords, nakatulong siya sakin.

Select missing word - Makinig ng mabuti. CONTEXT is EVERYTHING.

Highlight incorrect words - Madali lang 'to. Habang nagsasalita yung speaker, yung mouse pointer mo sunod mo lang sa words na sinasabi niya, kapag may discrepancy sa sinasabi niya at sa texts sa screen, click mo lang agad.

Write from dictation - Makinig ng mabuti,



Overall, PRACTICE LANG AT TIME MANAGEMENT pagdating sa exam. As much as possible, 'wag na bumili ng review materials kasi madaming available online. E2Language lang and PTETUTORIALS enough na.

I almost didnt finish my Listening too. So, manage your time talaga. Around 1 minute nalang natira sa akin when I got to WFD questions. Kinaya naman pero direct na ako nagtype kahit na mas sanay ako na sulat pen and papel muna bago magtype.

@mallows0824 ganyan din yung scores ko ko when I took the PTE mock test. adjusting your mic will help, i placed my mic, facing downward, near my chin facing. Tapos I covered my nose while speaking Ganyan din yung scores during mock tests, pero when inimproved my recording tumaas yung peonunciation.

@roliboy for aiming for superior scores - I opted for 1 sure answer for multiple choice - multiple answer - para iwas impact sa negative marking. At the most - given na ok na ok ka sa ibang section ng reading - you will get mga 82-84 sa Reading. Nadale ako dyan e pero in my opinion mas safe kung isa - UNLESS talagang alam mo yun, you know what you’re doing and you’re 100% sure sa sagot mo then by all means 2 answers e mas mataas na score ang equivalent kanya kanyang diskarte. this works for me but may not work for others - kaya we provide all options para sa mga incoming test takers para they can gauge san sila mas kampante na strategy

@donyx ganyan din ginawa ko hinalughog ko ang buong PTE thread na ito and ni note ko lahat para wala akong maiwan (medyo magulo nga lang yung summary ko ako lang yata makakaintindi don hehe) - pero nakakatuwa kapag halos pare pareho tayo lahat ng diskarte. mga pinoy talaga iba din ang sigasig e

@ms_ane agree! nandito naman na lahat. kailangan lang talaga ng konting tyaga sa paghanap ng materials at bigyan ng oras ang review. Si misis naman magtetest sa amin, pinasa ko na sa kanya yung materials ko, though functional english lang naman required sa kanya

@roliboy yup, pwede naman one lang. However, hindi mo ma-maximize points mo. The test is multiple choice, multiple answers, it goes without saying na nanghihingi siya ng multiple answers.

@jeffasuncipn lahat ng video ng youtube..triny ko pra magpractice..nakkita ko careercove, pte academic gold .. pero more on read aloud and repeat sentence prinactice ko kasi dun tlga ko eversince mababa.. naubusan na nga ako ng video..everyday nagpractice ako magbasa. Kya nagulat tlga ako.totoo talaga mga sinasabi ng mga tao dito hahahhahaha
.yung write from dictation po. I think i missed 1 word sa last question po.pro i think the rest ok..pero ang ginagawa ko naman dito.. i listen to ted talks everyday pag nasa byahe going to office..and pauwi..Nakita ko lang din yung tips na un dito. Malaking tulong talaga

@anntotsky, I suggest book for the exam agad para hndi mawala ang momentum. Additionally, sayang kasi yung pinractice mo kung mejo patatagalin din. In your case, nakikita ko makukuha mo na yan sa next mo.

One tip sa Reading...
Make sure na maka 90% na tama ka sa Reading Fill In The Blanks at Reorder Paragraphs. Dyan ako lagi nagsspent ng malaking oras. Once makakuha ka ng atleast 90% na tama jan, most of the time 79+ ka kaagad sa Reading, proven ko na to sa dami ng takes ko.
