Hello, anong effective sa inyong style sa WFD, sulat muna then type, type while listening or tapusin muna pakinggan yung buong sentence bago mag type?

Saka sa listening part ba, for example sa "Highlight Correct Summary" pag may sagot na kayo pero hindi pa tapos magsalita yung voice prompt, pwede na ba sya inext agad or dapat tapusin yung buong lecture?

@irl031816 naalala ko, hindi pwedeng mag next if di pa tapos yung audio.... ginawa ko rin to dati, pero may pop-up message na.. you cannot proceed ..something....

@irl031816 for me pinaka-ok ko yung type while listening. Ok din naman yung tapusin muna pakinggan yung buong sentence, kaso pag medyo madami yung words eh may chance na meron kang makakalimutan na word. Nung nagrereview ako, ang prinactice ko is yung type while listening. No need to look at the monitor, focus ka sa keyboard. It's ok pagmadaming typo, pwede naman siyang balikan before magclick ng next. Also para maenhance skills mo sa area na ito, listen to podcasts, para eventually matututo na maganticipate ng next words
Pero it all depends din kung pano ka sa practice mo until sa exam day itself, whichever suits you

@irl031816 Sakin naman listen lang muna just like kay e2 language with Jay,, then saka ako magttype as in lahat type lang kahit mali spell,,, saka mo na lang ayusin pag nailagay mo na lahat.

@steven thank you for confirming. sa PTE tutorials kasi na mga practice tests pwede na magproceed sa next question kahit di pa tapos yung voice prompt eh. Pero I wonder ano kaya yung mga possible instances kung bakit yung iba hindi nakakaabot sa last part na WFD kung need naman pala tapusin yung buong audio? Yung SST naman kasi independently timed sya na 10 mins di ba, so kahit matapos mo sya earlier at magproceed ka na sa next question eh hindi naman macacarry over yung excess time mo na hindi nautilize..

@smarie parang ito nga din yung best practice ko ngayon kaso nakakatakot lang baka mamaya super haba ng sentence hindi ko na matandaan yung mga latter words dahil yung utak ko pinoprocess palang yung pag type ng mga naunang words. hehe

@edge triny ko din yang technique na yan. Okay sya for short to medium length na sentences. Medyo risky for long sentences, may tendency maka omit ng some words. Nakakapanic minsan pag medyo mahaba yung sentence tapos di mo na anticipate eh. hehe

@irl031816 i think mababalikan mo ang iba pag may time pa natira, like sa akin in "Reading" part nmeron ako di natapos, pero pagdating sa "Listening" part naka dugtong yung mga sasagotan ko pa sa reading na part.

@smarie I did this as well. No surprise na mapeperfect mo and WFD. Lumabas sakin is 4 alam ko perfect ko yung 4. Tama ka dito Marie focus sa keyboard and type lng ng type ng mabilis kahit madaming mali spelling ksi pwede naman balikan. @irl031816 Try doing this practice practice practice lng ng technique na ito.

Hi guys, tanong ko lang regarding sa speaking. Tinatapos nyo pa ba yung alloted time each question or pede na magnext ka agad? Baba kasi ng score ko sa speaking and I think yun ung factor plus yung ingay ng mga katabi kong nageexam. Anong tips mabbigay nyo po?

Hi! I need help. second time to take PTE and hindi talaga nagimprove yung speaking ko e. First kasi tanggap ko pa dahil almost wala ako nasabi sa mga repeat sentence tsaka sa mga image. Pero ngayon may mga nasabi naman ako pero hindi din umaabot ng mga 30secs. need po ba paaubitin yun? Sobrang need ko po kasi kahit 10pts lang.

@twenty1 @mallows0824 try watching MoniMagic sa Youtube for tips sa speaking area. I-next mo na po kagad after mo magsalita para wala nang masagap na ingay. Also, naging problem ko din yan nung una na maingay yung mga katabi. Pero during your practice, sanayin mo nang practice sa medyo noisy environment. Sa actual exams kasi di talaga maiiwasan na may malalakas na boses. Parepareho lang din kasi tayo na kailangan i-ace yung exam kaya ganun talaga.. 150% focus talaga. Shut the world out ganun. It’s just you and the computer dapat. Plus try to sound more confident pag nagsasalita sa actual exam. No need for american or british or australian slang, basta confident lang sa pagspeak ng English. No hesitations, mumbles, ummms, errrrs. Kung di maiwasan, at least i-limit. Hehe sa mga read aloud, retell lecture, describe image, best na up to 35 secs yung pagspeak to obtain better scores. Kindly backread on thhis thread para sa mga templates and more advices. Laking tulong po nitong thread pramis.

@twenty1 pwde patingin Ng scores mo? Blur mo Lang Yung name mo, para kita namin enabling scores mo at kung San k nagkulang. Kaya yan dami na success stories dito. @mallows0824 tingin din Nung scores mo, para Ma gauge Kung San ka need improvement. Kaya yan, more practice Lang.

@smarie @lecia actually, yun yung ginagawa ko next na agad after. Noong first halos wala ko nasabi since ang ingay ng katabi. Pero ngayon kasi madami ako nasabi. May mga hesitations ako pero mas minimal ito compare last time. Kaya nagulat ako bakit bumaba ang result ko.

1st: Listening = 81, Reading=68, Speaking =59, Writing = 73,
Grammar = 66, Oral Fluency = 49, Pronunciation = 63, Spelling = 82, Vocabs = 85,
Written Disc = 78

2nd: Listening = 73, Reading=70, Speaking =53, Writing = 81,
Grammar = 83, Oral Fluency = 44, Pronunciation = 49, Spelling = 90, Vocabs = 84,
Written Disc = 78

Iniisip ko kasi if nagmalfunction ba yung speaking ko. kasi ang weird po ng score ko po.

SST items have a separate timer, then the rest listening tasks combined timer na...

Possible na di makaabot ng WFD lalo na kung 22 questions ang maibigay sayo for Listening tasks with 25-30 minutes timer after SST (naencounter ko to in actual exam 22 questions at naubusan tlga ako ng time at di ako naka attempt ni isang WFD).

To give example, supposedly nagtagal ka sa isang Listening task at kung ang recording ay may instance na umaabot ng 1.5-2 minutes each at di ka pde mag next hangga't di tapos then let's say, you spent another 2 minutes as well sa pagisip ng tamang sagot that means, you already consumed minimum of 4 minutes already sa 1 item out of 22 questions, which is mahaba na kaltas sa 30 minutes ng time mo. In short, kelangan matuto ng strategy sa time management para makaabot ka sa WFD, which is the last question task sa Listening part.
