Took the exam last Sat, lumabas din results kinabukasan. Good thing natapos ko na yung exam hanggang WFD, and sa wakas, nakasuperior din!

Ang hirap nung reading compared sa last take ko. Dun ako kinabahan na baka hindi ko naman matapos. Buti na lang naka79.

Then na-utal at stutter ako dun sa unang Re-tell lecture na item. Nawala sa isip ko na 10 seconds lang bago magopen yung mic. Eh hindi pa ko ready. Ayun, di ko nagamit yung template. Tas ang hahaba ng pauses ko in between sentences. Buti nakabounce back naman sa mga remainig RL items.

To be honest, itong fail item #1 sa RL ko na 'to, sobrang naka apekto sa buong exam ko. Sobrang nawalan ako na ng gana at inisip ko na ng inisip to hanggang sa Reading. It's highly recommended talaga pag nagkamali, move on na. Para di na makaapekto sa mga remaining tasks.

Hello guys, I am currently reviewing for PTE and I find describing image/graph challenging. medyo nauutal ako and nag-stutter tapos nawawalan ako nang words, another area na nahihirapan ako is writing essay.
Sa mga nag take na nag exam, pwede pa share naman nang sample topics sa essay? or other practice resources.

@TSM_Oz_Dream una struggle ko din yan... pero dami ko natutunan dito za forum... sa summarize written text ang pattern ko same kay supersaiyan... then sa writing essay naman kay miss anne akin ginamit at may isa din galing isa taga forum which i forgot na name nya.... tapos yun sinunod ko advise nila sa write from dictation as much as possible perfect kaay nag hanap ako ng technique for me un e2.... then sa reading lagi ako practice sa realpte pati reorder.... tapos sa MCMA pag di ako sure isa lang pinipili ko..... ika 5 take nakuha kona....siguro maaga ako nag babad dito sa forum maaga ko nakuha....

I think ito po ung format sa essay ni steven. finorward na din po sakin ni Chromanila at segfault27 bali un ung pinapractice ko din ngayon ptestudy.com.. pang anim ko na din po na take, so masakit na sa bulsa. Hopefully, malampasan ko din sana challenge na ito. Review po ulit and take sa July week1. Salamat..

Thanks sa forum na to! Nakuha ko na exam results and nakapag lodge na ako ng EOI today. Salamat po sa tips @Supersaiyan at @steve, naka superior din kahit sabit lang ako sa Listening.

Ang mabibigay ko lang na tips ay:

1. Maging kalmado/confident sa lahat ng speaking questions. May nakuha ako sa describe image na flowchart at step by step flow ng trading ng goods ba yun. Hinulaan ko lang talaga at dinescribe ko lang kung pagkakasunod sunod at ano nakikita ko, ng pinaka confident/kalmado pag salita na kaya ko. Mas tinitignan siguro talaga nila yung fluency at pronunciation, kumpara sa content.

2. Sa writing gumamit ng templates. Ginamit ko dito yung kay @steve pero hindi ko memorize kaya siguro sabit ako sa written discourse, bumawi lang sa vocab at grammar. Dinagdagan ko na lang ng examples na may medyo malalim na words na alam ko. Basically tama yung tip ni sir @Supersaiyan, stick lang sa topic tapos provide ng examples. Yung summarize written text na max 70 words ni-make sure ko na 50 or more words. Yung sa essay mga around 250 words.

3. Yung listening kailangan lang talaga mag concentrate. Mabisa na gamitin yung same technique na gagamitin sa repeat sentence at write from discussion. In essence kasi parehas lang sila na kailangan mag concentrate sa kung anong maririnig. Ang nag work sakin dito is yung iniimagine ko yung mga naririnig ko. "The assignment should be submitted on the second floor near the library". Parang iniimagine ko may assignment ako na kailangan ipasa sa library sa second floor. Yung mga questions na kailangan ituloy ung sentence concentrate lang sa sinasabi and piliin lang yung medyo may sense.

4. Sa reading, kailangan mag basa ng mag basa at intindihin yung binabasa para ma practice yung comprehension. Magiging mabisa din yung comprehension sa fill in the blanks at yung pag ayos ng sentences. Parang kelangan magets yung pinaka thought na gusto parating nung buong paragraph.

5. Practice lang talaga, and pahinga din. Magpahinga mga 1-3 days before ng exam para mas maging kalmado. Maghanap ng mga paraan at magpractice in a way that makes it easier for you. Kung ano nagwowork sayo na paraan ng pag practice yun ang gawin mo. Hehe.

Hi guys, ask ko lang po dun sa mga gumamit ng apeuni na AI scoring for read aloud is that accurate? or how accurate yung score nya? I tried po yung free na 5 trials but im getting low 70 score lagi lalo na sa oral fluency and pronunciation. TIA po

@TSM_Oz_Dream sorry late reply bro. Accuracy sa WFD n lng tingin kong kelangan mo since oks pronunciation mo at for sure nacacapture nun yung RS responses mo. Also for Reading, Reorder Paragraph kelangan makuha mo lalo kung 3 items dito nkuha mo pati RWFITB at RFITB. Kaya mo yan. Lapit na yan. God bless. Pray lang.

@gandara lapit na yan konting prayers and practice n lng po yan. WFD, need nyo po tlga accuracy sa part po na ito. Then Reading, Reorder Paragraphs at RWFITB. Yan po. Then never underestimate yung mga MCMA questions for Reading and Listening. Gaya po ng sbi ko, sa panahong nalalapit sa 79 yan ang magiging panabla nten. God bless po.

Gusto ko po magpasalamat ng marami sa lahat po ng nag-share ng experiences at tips dito sa forum. Naka-tulong po talaga sa pagaaral ko para sa PTE. Nagtake na ako ng IELTS last year pero di ko nakuha ang desired scores ko. Buti na lang may nagadvice sa akin na PTE ang i-take ko para makakuha ng superior english score. I took the exam last June 24 and got the results after 12 hours. Sobrang saya ko po na nakakuha ako ng 90 on the first take. Di pa rin po ako makapaniwala.

Gusto ko rin mag-share ng preparations na ginawa ko:

1.) Mga 2 months po akong nagprepare. Mayroon po akong regular na trabaho at may pamilya, so mga 1 hour a day lang ang allotted time ko manood ng videos sa youtube. Mainly, E2Language, Moni PTE at Dream English Education. Minsan din ginagawa kong pampatulog mga podcasts ng BBC or kahit nasa byahe papuntang work. Pag off days naman po, nakakapag-aral ako ng mga 6 hours.

2.) Ang pag-aaral ko po, practice practice ng speaking at writing. Hindi ko masyado pinagtuunan ng pansin yung reading ang listening, except for the Write from Dictation. Sa reading po, sa tingin ko dapat malawak talaga vocabulary niyo kasi may mga words na malalalim. On my part naman po, mahilig ako magbasa-basa ng novels and fictions pati na rin po magNetlflix at manood ng movies. Maganda po yung ‘The Crown’ at ‘Game of Thrones’ lalo na pag may subtitles. Pag hindi niyo alam yung words na nabasa o narinig, i-google agad.

2.) Yung tamang format po or templates ng PTE sundin niyo po talaga ang E2Languge. Yung mga Super Structures. Dahil legit po talaga yung mga tinuturo ni Jay. Pag dating naman sa mga tricks, si Moni PTE at Dream English.

3.) Nagpurchase din po ako ng PTE Gold Practice Test. Nakatulong ito in a sense na magkakaroon kayo ng idea kung paano ang flow ng test, lalo na sa mga first-timers. Since dalawa ang kasama dito na practice tests, malalaman niyo kung saan niyo pa kakailanganin ng ‘more practice’. 2weeks before the exam date ko kinuha yung practice test A tapos naman a day before exam yung practice test B. Mas mahirap po yung actual test kaysa sa mga practice tests.

4.) Pinili ko po na testing center ay yung hindi ganun ka-accessible or malayu-layo sa city. In a way, medyo kaunti lang po ang kasama ko sa mala-computer shop na setup ng center. At least, hindi ganun ka-ingay. Morning ako nagexam, 10am. Isang saging at donut lang breakfast ko at matapang na kape.

5.) On the test day, binuhos ko lahat ng powers ko. Hindi ako prepared sa Introduction so kung anu ano lng pinagsasabi ko. Mas maganda kung may spiel na kayo na prepared para umpisa pa lang, maganda na ang pasok. Either way, hindi naman scored itong part na to.

6.) Ginalingan ko ng sobra sa Read Aloud. Kasi feeling ko dun lang talaga ako makakabawi sa speaking part. Mala-newscaster ang dating! Yung describe image, mali-mali na minsan grammar ko at nauutal na pero tuloy tuloy pa rin. Best advice is huwag masyado mag-pause or magrepeat ng sinasabi. Yung parang alam na alam mo yung sinasabi mo. Confidence is key! Wag ma-conscious. Busy lahat ng kasama mo magtest. Wala silang pakialam sayo. Pag nakalimutan mo yung ibang words sa repeat sentence, i-try niyo na lang buohin yung sentence na, in a way may sense. Mahina kasi talaga memory ko. Sa Retell Lecture, jot down as many as you can tapos sabihin mo lahat, like, ‘The speaker said this and that and this’. Minsan hindi ko na talaga nasusunod yung mga format na sinaulo ko. Basta wala talaga masyadong pauses. Sa Write from Dictation, first letter of every word yung first half ng sentence tapos yung second half, sinusulat ko na ng buo.

7.) Yung microphone, nakatapat sa pisngi, aligned sa ilong. Tapos yung volume ng audio nilagay ko lang sa gitna.

8.) Kung mahaba pa ang time mag-aral pwede kayo magdownload ng memory games to help you with Repeat sentence.

9.) Bumili rin po ako ng Logitech H110 Headphones (mga 400php po siguro) na ginamit ko sa practice test.

10.) Pray, pray and pray

Sana po makatulong ito kahit papaano.
