Suggestion on what to wear, arriving in Melbourne on 2nd week of September

Hello friends! Would like to solicit suggestions from kababayans in the Melbourne / Victoria area on what to wear based on temperature in Melbourne by September (Winter or Spring?). We have 2 small children, is it advisable for them to wear thermal underwears or layers would do? If layers, 2 longsleeves shirts and a jacket would suffice? Do i need to let them wear leggings under their pants? Thanks in advance for your time and advice.. God bless us all

Bring winter attire (thermal, etc), bring umbrella, bring sando and shorts - kasi 4 seasons dun winter sa umaga, uulan, summer sa tanghali, tapos average sa hapon. :)

Well, september is tapos na ang winter season bale ngaun hangang july siguro yung peak ng winter. Nung nandun ako sa melbourne last October 09, eh naka light jacket lang ako sa umaga at gabi tapos T-shirt at maong sa tanghali. Fresh pa ako from canada noon kaya anything more than 19 deg celcius is summer for me. Shorts and tsinelas eh pang queensland pala yan, ganyan kasi ang culture dito brisbane, pang-bahay attire :) Hindi ata yan bagay sa victoria or nsw, hehe.

Pero totoo yan, yung drastic changes in weather kasi jan na-second yung ka-opisina ko for 1 yr and at least 3 seasons yung nararanasan nya within the day. I think september - october should be safe enough, pero bring payong (foldable) just to be safe.

@PLAC , right now, i would recommend u to bring winter clothes kc napakalamig na talaga dito. actually winter alone is not really an issue kc kaya naman kahit papano, ang matindi lang is, kapag umuulan, malamig na nga, umuulan pa at humahangin, imagine urself outside waiting for the train/tram and the freezing winter. so far, about clothings and stuff, Kmart is the best answer, mura din lang naman xa...ung bahay namin ngaun dito, studio type lang sya kc kami lang naman na dalawa ng fiancee ko and mejo mura kc pinay ung me ari na me asawang lokal, A$200/week pero it seems gagawing $250/week ngaung winter lang dahil sa electric bill for heater. un...tama c davidx23, by september patapos na ata winter dito.

hi to all! I would like to ask for referrals if anybody of you knows a filipino family who might have a spare room to rent out kahit for 2 weeks lang on Sept. My hubby and I together with our 2 kids (ages 2 and 6 years old) will arrive in Melbourne on Sept 13, and im looking sana for temporary on-arrival accomodation while we finalize rental arrangements, mahal kasi if we stay in a hotel or hostel... thanks in advance.

Shirt na lang po tapos magbaon ng jacket. Best bet is to check the weather forecast para alam mo what to expect, reliable naman dito ang weather forecasting.
