@mid23 it really depends on you, kasi madami din dito na walang agent, if you have the time para magsearch ng lahat ng gagawen then cguro DIY ka na lang, pero depende sau,

hi mid23! kung di ka sure na kaya mong mag isa gamit ka na lang ng agent, yong free lang ang pf ha..meron akong alam pero di ko pa naman ntry. Nabayad ako ng P1500 assessment fee, para daw malaman kung anong dapat na course ang enrol ko.

hi ask klang since,i have friend wanting to study here in aust, he is planning to take master degree in enginering or any type of course na pwede,is it true ba na when you graduate two years here in australia eh..you can apply for permanet residence regardless of course....?thanks po sa lahat///

base sa pagkakaintindi ko, yes pwede naman sya mag-apply, pero hindi po automatic ang PR after graduating from AU..

ang meron po ay temporary visa valid for 18 months (kung nakagraduate ng 2yr course from AU)

Hi po! I'm also new here sa forum. Meron po ba nag-aral or mag-aaral ng masters or phd dito? anong course po at sang school/state po kayo? Mahirap po ba? Thanks! Pinag-iisipan kasi namin magasawa kung magstudent visa ako (IT or Business Course sana gusto ko) and hopefully dahil IT sya makahanap agad sya ng work sa AU at masustain din yung studies ko. I'll be applying for a student visa and dependent ko husband ko. I'm doing the application on my own po. I just want to make sure na wala akong ma miss na fill-upan. Thanks po..

Yes you and your dependant shall use only one application form 157a. Just be sure it is the latest form revision July 2012.

hi,, im kinda worried po,, di pa kasi ako nakakareceive ng med. exam schedule.. almost 3 weeks weeks na po ako nag lodged ng papers ko, and yet ala pa ko narereceive na email,, sabi po sakin sa VIA center 10 working days lang pero wala pa din.. (

Hi! Im a newbie here. I just want to get some advice regarding student visa application. My husband and i are here in the Phils. My sister in law is a PR in AU for 3 yrs na. She wants to helps us para mkapunta din kame sa AU with our kids. My husband is a BS Nursing Grad, he's underboard and no nursing work experience since he graduated last 2006. Im a BSN undergrad naman. We both work here sa Phils as call center agents for almost 3 yrs din. But last year, my husband decided to follow the steps of his sis so he took her advice na kumuha ng at least skilled working experience. My husband is currently a machine operetor and safety officer in a manufacturing firm for 1 year na. Now his sister is suggesting na magtry kame na mag apply for student visa with me as his dependent. Since iba na daw and pagprocess ng PR for skilled migrants. and she offered financial assisstance naman. He wants my husband to study and para mas madali daw since balak naman tlaga ng sister nya na i-sponsoran kme (family sponsored visa) in the next yrs.

My questions are:
1. What course does my husband need to take? kailangan ba in line din with nursing? gusto sana nya iba nalang, if he has an option. And gusto kase nmin yun at least mura lang din yun tuition fee.
2. Kailangan ba at least 2 yrs course study yung kukunin nya? at anong type of visa ang kukunin nya. Medyo mahal kase kumuha ng consultant, kaya as much as possible gusto namin n kme nalang magprocess ng application.
3. Lastly, Im currently working as a financial service advisor in one of the prominent banks in the US, which has a service center (inhouse) here in Phils. 3 years na ang work experience ko. May chance kya ako kung ako ang mag apply? hindi ko kase sure kung kasama sya sa SOL. And I only have 72 units lang din sa college. We are looking kase kung sino samin ng husband ko ang may mas madali ang chance regarding sa application.

@Yukishih hi. what do you mean credit prior learning? ibig sabihin pwede ma-credit ng school yung inaral here sa pinas? i am planning to take bachelor of nursing but the duration is 3 years. so, may possibility na mabawasan yun? thanks!

@amedina yes, yung subjects ko na iba from my BS Nursing sa atin nacredit. Anung school ka dito sa AU? I cant answer yung question mo kasi depende sa offer ng school yan. Sa Deakin kasi may ganun sila na program. May school kasi na ipakuha pa din syo buong 3 years meron naman bawasan nila ng 1 year. Good thing sa Deakin University binigyan lang ako ng 1 year.

@Yukishih sa university of newcastle ako. i dont know if ma-accredit nila naaral ko here in pinas. 3 years kasi ang duration. no choice coz my grandma picked the school for me because its near their house. ayaw naman nila ako mag bridging course kasi malayo ang sydney, i think 2 hours train. may possibility kaya ma-accredit nila? thanks again.

welcome to the forum..
1. please check po ung thread for nurses.. meron dun naka-lagay kung pano mag-paasses sa pagkuha ng bridging program (schooling) for nurses sa AU.. yan po ang first step kung gusto i-practice ang nursing sa AU..

Iba iba daw po ang lenght ng bridging program, depende sa assessment ng APHRA (assessing agency for medical skills like nursing)

2. Kung hindi naman po gusto ituloy ang nursing, pwede naman po, kaso baka tanungin bakit ka mag-aaral sa AU ng ibang course na hindi related sa bs degree mo or work exp.... kung may valid reason naman, eh pwde nmn po.. depende na un sa application nyo sa mga schools/universities..

ang first step po is to check for courses/schools.. once na-admit na kayo sa school, magbibigay sila ng letter na gagamitin nyo for student visa application..

as for the current DIAC's rule, you need at least 2 yrs of study para mabigyan ng visa to work for addtiional years after the course..

3. verify nyo po sa SOL kung nandun ang skill nyo.. please check SOL/CSOL thread.. pero my opinion is baka mahirapan kayo, kasi wlang ma-aassess na educ qualification.. then dun sa EOI points required (passmark 60pts).. 15pts na po agad ang mawawala sa inyo, dahil nga walang educ qualification...

will the schools accept IELTS and TOEFL scores that were taken more than 2 years ago? mataas po yung scores ko on both:

TOEFL: speaking 29 writing 28 reading 27 listening 25
IELTS: speaking 8.5 writing 8.0 reading 8.0 listening 8.5

the problem is yung toefl ko was taken 2007, and ielts was taken 2009...

nagaaccept po ba sila ng exception?

No. You have to retake.
