@kalee1018 yes, okay yung sinabi ng friend mo. Gagawa ng affidavit ang tita mo na she magfinance or support sa studies mo tapos attached nya bank statement or bank certificate nya. Ikaw gagawa ka din ng affidavit na may access ka dun sa funds na sinasabi ng tita mo. You can directly apply from schools or if you want go to idp and ask for their assistance free of charge.

Hello po.. I'm jhay,currently working in SG. Kaka lodge ko po kanina sa AU embassy ditto ng application ko po. Binigyan na din po ako ng medical form kaya tinapos ko na kanina. Hintay na Lang po ng results ng medical... Tanong ko Lang po Sana what to expect next kasi parang ang bilis ata....natatakot ako tuloy. Sa TAFE po pala diploma in nursing

@Yukishih thank u very much for your reply I will be visiting Goldcoast and Melbourne this December May I know what course ur taking at Deakin U? I'm seriously considering to study in Melbourne. I might take up Diploma in Management lang muna kase hindi enough ung evidence of funds ko for Degree. Have u started working already?
@Jhay May I know ano-anong documents pinakita mo sa AU embassy dito sa Sg? Pagkabigay mo ng documents medical na agad? Kase if mas mabilis ang processing dito I might as well lodge my application here. Hope u reply..thank u in advance

Newbie here. Curious bout the proof of funds coz si BF ang sponsor ko who is an AUS citizen so no prob naman ako sa accomodation question is will it be enough to submit his bank statements as proof of funds or dapat ba bank statement na nasa name ko....i read on previous threads kasi dapat yung money eh at least 3mos prior nang nasa bank account bago pa magsubmit ng SV application.....thanks to those who'll respond :-)

@avi hi! I didnt submit both. Yung bank cert lang. No agency. Did it all by myself. Madali lang naman kasi nasa website lahat ng kailangan. I can help you basta kaya ng powers ko. Hehe.

Which is better- studying in TAFE with a more practical course (i.e. ICT / Networking), getting a second bachelor's degree which is accounting for 2-3 years, or getting a master's degree for 1 year (i.e. Master in Information Technology)?

I really have no idea where to post this question. I was a software engineer for 2 years here in the Philippines and I'm actually not that good with programming, so I was thinking of studying another course(taking another bachelor's) to be able to get into another path- i want to be in the field of finance/econ/ or accounting sector.

But my aim of course would be to get a good job in oz.

For the 'experienced' and those currently applying for a student visa:

I'm currently working at an insurance company here in Singapore for almost 5 years now and I'm planning to take up a Masteral degree in Australia in 2014. I took up Business Management and graduated at DLSU-Manila. My first job was at BPI and worked there for almost three years. Then I decided to try looking for a job here in Singapore, and was fortunate to be hired by this insurance company - my first and current employer.

From my initial research on the student visa application, what I read are the following: (please correct me if I'm wrong)

1. choose your course and school - my first choice is actuarial studies at Macquarie but then I'm not really confident if I could take on the high level math subjects under that course, so my next option is Professional Accounting (either at Macquarie or University of Sydney). I will be qualified for SVP for both.

2. academic and English language requirements - so far, I've met the acad. side. I'm planning to take up IELTS first or second quarter of 2013.

3. university application. if accepted, to pay required tuition fees. then eCOE (?) will be given to be submitted to Australian Embassy for the visa application.

4. for visa application, I can include a dependent, even if it's a de-facto spouse, but I have to add about 6kAUD/year to the 18kAUD/year living expenses required.

My questions are:

1. Will the university require the whole AUD36K (assuming no dependent and the course is for 2 years) + estimated tuition fees for one year? Will the university require proof of documents that you have the funds or the declaration is enough? If someone (not a relative) from the UK offered to sponsor for my tuition fees, is there any required amount that should be reflected on the sponsor's bank certificate?

2. How does scholarship grants work? I've read that during your application for university acceptance, some universities will automatically consider you for scholarship, subject for review. If ever you're qualified for the scholarship, does this mean that once you accept the offer, you only pay the tuition fees less the grant OR you have to pay the tuition fees in FULL first before eCOE is given?

3. My mom is currently in Australia, married to an Australian citizen. Will this be a problem? I'm concerned that this might be taken against me in a way that I have a reason not to leave Australia.

4. Will it be very difficult if I apply with a dependent (de-facto spouse)?


Any additional tips aside from addressing my concerns, I would really appreciate.

Hi, I still haven't resolved the issue with my previous agent due to great disagreement/conflict. I filed a complaint to them to MARA but apparently, MARA can't help me because apparently they don't have any records of my agent/agency as to being a registered migration agent. Where do I seek for assistance to solving this issue? and how do I get a refund from the school my previous agent enrolled me to?

i don't know exactly what the issue was...
but maybe while trying to resolve the issue, and if you are still considering going to school, you can request to defer your enrollment this coming school year... mention that you had problems with the agent... i'm sure they will understand..

@lock_code2004 Thank you so much. I already e-mailed the school about asking for a refund and a friend of mine that's in Sydney already is going to my school with my CoE to ask to them. I'd like to ask the refund because I'd like to switch schools in Sydney. Sorry if my first post was confusing. I just edited it. I typed it out with anger and didn't review what I posted.

Hi bago ako dito. Itatanong ko lng if 4 months lng yung training kailangan din ba ng student visa? Balak ko sana grduate diploma in sonography . 4 months intensive training and yung school ang maghahanap ng employer for my clinical placement for 2 years. Thank you
