@emtorno hi, since IE sya, baka ma-aassess lang sya as ICT minor. Worst case scenario is baka you need to go thru RPL (Request of Prior Learning). RPL is para sa mga non-ICT courses pero IT related ang work.

Hindi ko alam ang process thru RPL kasi.. hindi ako makakahelp sayo regarding that. Para mas maliwanagan ka, mag post ka nlng dun sa ACS thread.

Any ideas po kung gano katagal dapat intayin ko for NSW Nomination? Almost 3 weeks since nag apply ako eh Paranoid po ako baka mamaya may mali sa application or kulang etc hehe Thanks!

@AspireAU21 hi. You can check sa website nila. Kami din waiting for the nomination ng SA na 4-5 weeks. We are on our 4th week. Ang hirap maghintay noh. Hehe.

@admt2016 oo nga eh hehe marami ako naiisip na baka mamaya di ma approve although nabigay ko naman lahat ng papers. Sa kabilang forum, may iba na 2 weeks lang approved agad. fastest is 4 days. pero on the average, 3 weeks e. lets see. Goodluck satin!

@jedh_g So, puwede po ako mag apply sa visa 190 kapag 55? I am aiming for 8 on IELTS to get 20pts para po umabot ng 65pts ako.

Mas madali po ba ang PTE kaysa sa IELTS? If mag retake ko, iniisip ko po na ibahin na lang yung take na exam. Kung ano mas madali makuha ng high grades.

@chewychewbacca try PTE, easy to get 20 points.

@chewychewbacca yes, PTE is easier but you need to familiarize yourself with the type of tests and at the same time get your pace.

@chewychewbacca aim at least 65 if you're aiming for 189 visa. Most nang na iinvite falls within this range like my case, 1 week lang meron na invite from DIBP. You may back read other post na kapag 55 lang at state sponsorship for 190 halos hindi na naiinvite kahit magiisang taon na, no assurance. I took IELTS kasi and its a good starter especially when honing your skills in writing. If not, better prepare for PTE at least 10 weeks straight. Aim high and put effort on it and lastly pray above. Kasi hindi rin madali ang journey...lots of patience

@jedh_g bossing since you mentioned 65 points, is this also applicable to visa 190? minimum time span to be invited is 1 week?

@pinoycoder as to my experience, 70 pts ako when I got invited by NSW SS, 190. So parang mabilis ma-invite pag mataas ang puntos kasi competition din sa ibang applicants. Pero I go for 189 pa rin kasi nga 65 ako without the 5 additional pts ng SS. Kaya sabi ni migration agent, better wait for it. And yun nga nangyari, a week after dumating na ang golden invite (look at my timeline). Good luck, darating din ang golden invite nyo!

@jedh_g 55pts no invite? Really?? Where did u get that info? Kasi parang false info. 2 of my IT friends got invited in 8 wks NSW 190 with 55+5 (fifty five) points. Let us not gve false info kse we are all aspirants here. No offense meant. Oops, forgot to say. PR na pala sila december 2015, NO AGENT.

@chewychewbacca No worries, kami rin di nag agent DIY lang. You also need to consider yung occupation ceiling ng gusto mong applyan kasi pag kakaunti lang ang nagaapply sa occupation mo mabilis din ang invite kahit 60 points. So maraming factors ang need na iconsider regarding the invites it is not solely dependent on your english competency.

@Cassey I'm applying for Software Engineer. Pasado na ako sa assessment. Ito na lang English Exam kulang ko para maka lodge ng EOI sa Embassy. Quick question, mas madali talaga ang PTE? I need to get 79 on LRWS eh.

@admt2016 depende sa occupation ito and not an absolute case na ganoon lagi. As 60 points is the minimum points to qualify, mas mataas ang points the better. Hope you get that objectively din. Lahat naman tayo nagtutulungan sa thread na ito.

@admt2016 kasi sa 55 pts may mga na iinvite din naman. Say for example IT professionals, in demand yan sa NSW, kaya even at 55 points na iinvite din pero other professions does not apply. I do not meant false hope of course, but rather give the real picture. We give solicit advise based on experience. It is up to the applicant to do his own due diligence.

@chewychewbacca unfortunate for PTE in my experience, wala ako alam na review center here in Manila. May mga nag offer na online tutorial with a cost pero better buy the gold kit instead (I tell u it's all worth the money!). I also hard binded the McMillan PTE reviewer just to let me be familiarized sa exam format pero di ko rin natapos basahin lahat.

The key here is PRACTICE, FOCUS & PRAY! Kaya mo yan...

Lets just refrain from giving false info. Maybe u were invited na pano namn yung iba na hindi pa, mawawalan na ng pag asa because of what u have said. We all have one goal. Mas ok kng palakasin loob ng isat isa and not the other way. Goodluck to your visa application!

@admt2016 I do not mean giving false hope as meron din mga 55 pointers gaya mo at nang iba na wala pa din invite at 55 status quo. The reason is to encourage and not to discourage para mag aim ng means to acquire additional points here. Kasi nalulungkot din ako kasi meron din naman dito na gusto natin ma invite kaso wala parin talaga for several months na. Kaya sana you should not think negative of me saying to be comfortable at 55. But instead, aim to increase points and get PTE desired score for instance. Good luck to you also & hope you get the point straight without implying to be negative...

@jedh_g we can always tell our co-aspirants to check it sa website rather than saying this and that. U stated kse na kahit 1 yr na nde pa naaaprove. Try to put urself on the shoe of others na hindi pa naiinvite so you'll know the feeling. Yung example ko is totoo. Kaya i can say na ok lng nmn ang 55+5 kse i have friends na PR na sa NSW visa 190 na ganyan lang ang points. May be you are lucky kasi u got an invite agad kse u have HIGH SCORE as per ur claim. Let us help each other by not giving false info. Thanks

@jedh_g please be careful with ur infos, sir. )) we are 60 + 5, and under hain migration kse our immediate family is in SA na. we claimed for 55+ 5 pero they added 5 pts remember, that makes us 60+5, ok na din pero hindi kasing taas ng claim mo.

@admt2016 again it is giving my information like you based on other's experience. May mga kaso talaga na madalas non-IT related course/profession na hindi pa rin na iinvite (pag reach nila ng 60 to 65 points after PTE, tsaka sila na invite). Nagtataka lang ako why you sound na I don't feel other's shoes. Meron talaga 1 year na wala pa talagang invite kasi their profession is not that demanded in the chosen state for instance. I am saying this para mag aim ang makabasa ng option to increase points and feel not complacent at the wheel.

If in your case you opt to wait, it is your call. Let us end this one.
