Or pwedeng diretcho na conversion? Thanks po
if you had ur license before you relocated to SG then you need to take BTT exam only..online exam lng cya 50 items, pag pasado pwede mu na ipaconvert.

Clarification po: So if wala pa talaga PH license, the best way & most economical is dito na sa SG mag-enrol & kukuha ng license? Or advisable na doon muna kukuha sa Pinas then convertion nalang dito sa SG at no cost na?
@IslanderndCity getting an SG license is not that easy and cheap. So kung totally wala ka pang license might as well get it in OZ directly.

    my two cents.

Hi, I do not know about the cost of getting a new license in SG vs AU. Pero pag wala ka pa license from Pinas, di ka na maka convert when you get it now. This is because the rule is that you need to have a valid, non-expired license for 1 year or more before you were granted an EP/SPass/PR in Singapore.

But it is better to get a PH License-then get an International License from AAP right before going to AU. You can use it in AU for 1 year or before you apply for a learner's permit whichever comes earlier(this is because any International Licenses will lose it's validity after you apply for a learners/probational license). (This is Queensland law. I do not know about other states.)
Thanks po. So cancel ko na ang option to get a DL in SG.

Meron pa rin if you want to drive immidiately in AU upon arrival. Make sure to get an International Driver's License from AAP. However, if you apply for learner's permit, di mo na pwede gamitin any country's DL inside AU. (Queensland Rule).

    Hi,

    1. AAP po is only issued from the Philippines. You can use this in AU for 1 year (with full driving rights). You can use this AAP-DL to get a probational license in AU. But once you apply for the probational license, hindi mo magamit yung International AAP DL mo.

Ang catch is, may states yata na you will need to "convert" within 3 months of arrival (this I am sure which states).

You cannot do both. Kasi nga, yung AAP-DL mo will not be honored once you applied for a learner's or probational License.

For WA, if you have PH driving license and if you are a PR visa holder.. you can only use your PH driving license for up to 3 months maximum upon arrival..

after 3 months, hind na pwde.. so dapat maka apply kana ng AU driving license..

    Hi,

    Thanks po.
Anybody here can share from South Australia? Ganito din po ba na after 3 months, you no longer can use your PH DL diyan sa SA?

@ganda, bakit daw po sa SG na? D ba mahal?
Saka you need to take test/s pa ulit yata pag nasa Australia ka na unlike pag SG Intl license, mabilis lang. :) anyways, i'll still take it from SG na. Takot ako sa pinas eh. Hehe...

I agree. And if you do not have driving experience in the PH or SG. Better to learn from scratch in AU.
    So as a summary:
Wala na akong advantage na ma-gain if kukuha pa ako ng Ph DL? Better directly get Au DL nalang po soon?
Meron pa rin if you want to drive immidiately in AU upon arrival. Make sure to get an International Driver's License from AAP. However, if you apply for learner's permit, di mo na pwede gamitin any country's DL inside AU. (Queensland Rule).
Yes there's a big chance po to drive immediately in Au upon arrival. So further summary po:
    A. Get Ph DL in order to get Internat'l DL from AAP in SG
    B. Get Au DL directly from Au nalang if hindi naman magdrive immediately in Au after arrival
    C. I can do both A & B

Tama po? Thanks so much so replies nyo po. Very helpful...

    New residents

If you are issued a permanent visa and become a resident of South Australia, you must obtain a South Australian driver's licence within three months and you may be required to surrender your overseas driver's licence. Once you are issued with a South Australian learner's permit or driver's licence, your overseas licence is invalid.

Yay, ganito pala sa SA. Parang niexpect kase siguro nila no point na to keep your home country license since AU resident na.

I'm taking the BTT exam this monday. Ano yung sinabi mong hinanap nila yung Old passport during initial entry dito sa SG? Is it needed? Just wanted to know in advance coz just in case, dadalhin ko nalang din lumang passport ko. TIA

@Isyut oo kakatake ko lng ng BTT tsaka I intend to have it converted sana pero ayun hinanap yung lumang passport ko.yung may tatak ng initial entry ko sa SG. kakainis nga kc meron ako nun sa pendrive(used in SG PCC),cnabi ko if i can come back in 10mins with it, do i have to get another queue number?cnabi nya dapat kukuha ako ng bago..to think na it took me 2 hours to wait for my number to be called, ika 10th lng ako. so sa sabado nlng ako babalik..iconfirm ko din yung internatnal driving permit...
