@JHONIEL pwede ka kumuha ng private insurance, madaming choices ng private insurance dito, pero take note mo yung waiting period. For pregnancy usually kaylangan at least 12 months member ka na.

I need to check whats the current legislation...2 years ago when we applied for 887, only the main applicant is required to have lived for 2 years and worked at least 1 year fulltime work to be qualified to apply.

it wasnt mentioned in the website so i supposed same regulation pa din..kailangan lang nandito sila when you apply and should also held a 489 visa.

887.2—Primary criteria
Note: The primary criteria must be satisfied by at least 1 applicant. Other applicants who are members of the family unit of the applicant who satisfies the primary criteria need satisfy only

887.3—Secondary criteria
Note: These criteria must be satisfied by applicants who are members of the family unit of an applicant who satisfies the primary criteria.
887.31—Criteria to be satisfied at time of application
887.311
The applicant is a member of the family unit of a person who satisfies the primary criteria in Subdivision 887.21 and made a combined application with that person.
887.32—Criteria to be satisfied at time of decision
887.321
The applicant continues to be a member of the family unit of a person who, having satisfied the primary criteria, is the holder of a Subclass 887 visa


It doesnt mentioned about secondary applicants to comply with the 2 years residency to be included in the application...Dependents except the spouse dont have the right to apply for 887 and should be included in the main applicant's application.

@fgs Hi! We are also interested in this topic if dependents still need to comply the 2 years residency since in our case nauna hobby ko mag BM. The points you mentioned kasi is not consistent with the info found at DHA website. See screenshot below. You think the one at the migration act is still the valid reference for 887 visa application? Thanks

I guess you better clarify it with DHA. Baka nagbago na req nila. In our case 2 years ago, only the main applicant is required to comply with the 2 years residence. Baka nga inassume na as a family unit, dapat sabay na dumating and have lived together.. If this is the case, dapat binago na din migration regulations act kasi yan ang pinaka bible ng mga COs when reviewing a visa application.

If you scroll below the "LEARN ABOUT" not the "FOLLOW THESE STEPS" tab, di namention regarding residency req for both partner and dependents. Di rin consistent don sa requirement ng defacto partner na dapat 6-12 months na kayo nagsasama bago mo sya pwede isama sa application.And how about a child born in Australia? kailangan ba e-pending mo application mo only to wait for that child to turn to 2 years old para masama mo sa application nyo? I guess di consistent ang info reflected sa DHA website.

Main reqs for 887 are proof of living 2 years(main applicant) in regional area and proof of 1 year fulltime work.

It depends on which state you apply. Each state has it own skills occupations list and in the case of NSW, per region. Each occupation has its own quota so isa yon sa factors. You can check website of the state and check the status of your occupation to get an indication whether marami pang vacant or about to exhaust na ang quota

Paassess ka ng skill based sa work experience mo..you can still claim points sa degree regardless whether relevant sa skill mo or not. As long as you comply with the requirements, yheres no reason not to approve your 887 visa app...I applied exactly on my 2nd year..then applied citizenship exactly on my 4 years..

Yes..current citizenship legislation is 4 years stay in australia and 1 year of that 4 years on a PR visa

hi @JHONIEL ! Baka makatulong sa pag decide nyo ang info ko regarding delivery. We came here on a 489 and I was 7 mos preggy. Talagang ang decision namin ay dito ako manganganak. Nagpunta muna ako sa GP pra kumukha ng referral sa hospital for the usual checks. Kung hindi naman complicated ang pregnancy, puwedeng GP lng mag check sa iyo periodically. But since candidiate ako for C-section, OB ang nagchecheck sa akin monthly. Sa public hospital yung OB ko so mga $200/visit. Sa panganganak, ang charge sa akin ay $1989/day. Yung per day sa hospital ay 24 hours equivalent, naka mahigit 48 hours ako pero ang charge ay 2 days lang kasi hindi naman ako umabot ng 12midnight of the 3rd day. At ang pinaka importante, puwede kayo mag avail ng payment plan at no need bayaran ng full before kayo ma-discharge ni baby Nakakatuwa lang kasi lumabas kami ng hospital ng walang binabayad ni ten cents! Solo room ako, public hospital pero super ma-alaga ang staff! Yung monthly visits lang pala sa OB ang required ang bayad per visit.
Kumuha din kami ng health insurance pag dating but since may required 12 months waiting, hindi covered ang costs.

@koykoy This is very informative po Mam. Kasi kame po waiting ngayon for grant. Considering din sana kame sundan na yung baby namen kaya lang mejo worried kame panong diskarte. Kasi I read din difo sa forum na baka magka-problema sa medical at madelay pag buntis kasi di pwede ma-xray. May I know po Mam kelan po itong experience nyo, recently lang po ba? Para may idea rin kame if recent yung ganon price roughly.

So pano po ang ginawa nyo, nag conceive pi kayo after makuha ang grant ganon po ba? Salamat po.

There are 2 types of 489 visa. A family sponsored and state sponsored. Family sponsored visa has a very low quota, and only 10 usually invited every fortnight. The 489 state sponsored invitation depends when the state approve your sponsorship and quota depends on the need of the state per occupation. You can check the indicative availability of invitation per occupation sa sponsoring state migration website( usually indicated by Low, Medium and High availability.)

Saan state ka mag aapply? You need to apply a separate state sponsorship

@JHONIEL , nakapag pamedical na ako ng 2015, then na-grant si 489. After initial entry saka ako naging preggy. So sa lagay nyo, wag na muna maging preggy c mrs hanggang hndi namemedical

@supermadi , 2015 kmi na grant, 2016 ako na-preggy at nanganak. Kaya I would suggest wag muna maging preggy hanggang wala pang grant.. mas maigi pati na dito ka manganak para idadagdag na lng si baby sa visa ng primary applicant. From my understanding kpg sa Pinas ka manganganak, or anywhere except Aus, separate visa application ang sa baby.
