As far as I know it's the cheapest plan for unlimited ADSL - $59.99. Pero crappy installation service. Their contractor only connected the phone line at the main distribution frame, but the line that goes to our flat was not crimped, so TPG tried to charge me another $60 for a "private technician" that will fix the internal wiring. For me it was an unfinished installation so after two days of calling TPG and emailing their complaints department they agreed to waive the $60 fee for the technician (which did a five-minute job in connecting two silver cables in the MDF).
Then I found out from the other tenants here and from forums online that they always do that to new customers but the problem gets resolved when you push them back.
Ang alam ko ganon talaga, hanggang MDF lang nila iteterminate ung copper line tapos customer na bahala mag-connect from MDF to CPE.

@psychoboy..Yes ok ung connection hndi nag lalog ung candy crush q at pag nanonood aq ng mga telenobela ng abs,. .. Hndi q na check ung speed ng net namin.. Check q mamaya.. Den ung modem nla, sobrang bilis e connect.. Hndi aq pinagpawisan, ikenonect q lg sa wall after 3 min ayun wifi na kaagad..
@nfronda Nice!! Ako nagka problema lang as there were issues with our Telstra telephone line so hindi makakuha ng adsl2 sync - after pinuntahan ng technician okey na!! Start na ng download...
What I like about iiNet din is the tools which you can be able to keep track of your usage. As mentioned before i have 100Gb peak and another 100Gb of offpeak; akala ko dati kulang iyon pero almost 70% done na kami sa billing cycle and we barely touched the offpeak usage and 50Gb lang ang peak... Eheheeh!!
More downloads pa cguro I guess... :P
Yes gnyan din sakin 100gb peak and 100gb offpeak.. And ung offpeak q hndi pa masyadong nagamit.. Kaya sobra sobra samin ung usage allowance namin..

This is true .. Telstra technician will only connect the copper from their Box to the buildings MDF ... inde sila obligado na i check yung connection from MDF to your unit .... we were TOG before and we have the same problem ... madali naman kausap yung kausap ko nun .. tinagalog ko na lang pinoy naman e .. of course waived yung fee

Any current feedbacks regarding TPG's service? I applied for unlimited internet with home phone last weekend (Im here in SA). I received the modem router last Wednesday. Still waiting for the ADSL service to be active -- medyo naiinip na pero sabi ng TPG 10-20 working days ang activation ng service --- medyo matagal ata yun, I back read and found out minsan may problem sa pag connect from the MDF papunta sa house/unit. Will this be a problem for me pa ba kung sakaling meron ng phone line dito sa loob ng unit?

@cholle - not sure about the difference between the NBN ISP's available right now. I think the biggest factor is ensuring you are located in an NBN-ready area. Once you're there, I think the service should basically be the same regardless of provider at this point (since maaga pa lang ang pagkaka establish ng NBN at wala pa masyadong kalaban).

@mhej yeah, that's what I thought. My new unit is definitely NBN-ready as I've confirmed on the nbn co website and I saw the box inside the unit as well. Sige, will shop around. Parang sulit yung 89.99 Unlimited 100/40 ng TPG hehe

@cholle - nice! congrats! kami naman kasi ng partner ko, hindi kami heavy internet users sa ngayon. I mean, if pang streaming and downloading lang naman ng videos, I think ADSL2+ will do the job. Medyo pricey rin pala ang NBN no? pero ayos yan talaga if heavy user ka. We have a friend na nagset up ng sarili niyang server farm worth 80TB. Halos lahat ng movies and TV Series imaginable meron siya. hahaha. Sulit na sulit ang NBN sa kanya.

Okay, sagutin ko yung sarili kong tanong hehe.
If your house/unit is NBN-ready, i.e. may NBN equipment na kayo sa loob, mabilis lang sila magkabit. I went with TPG - applied online Sunday, Wednesday nasa akin na ang router at naikabit ko nang sobrang dali (plug in lang talaga). No inspections required.

^^ up for this. question lang po, planning to get TPG or Telstra, ok lang ba services ng TPG? also mangmang question, may phone connection sa unit na lilipatan namin, is that the same plug for the internet? thanks po.

mukhang ok kasi yung ikaw magdedesign ng sarili mong plan at wala syang contract. sounds a little good to be true though. iniisip ko yung coverage kasi a lot of times, i work at the edge of perth metro na. borderline regional areas na like yanchep or pinjarra. useless din kung pangit ang coverage.

If your house/unit is NBN-ready, i.e. may NBN equipment na kayo sa loob, mabilis lang sila magkabit. I went with TPG - applied online Sunday, Wednesday nasa akin na ang router at naikabit ko nang sobrang dali (plug in lang talaga). No inspections required.
Speedtest results - http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3921109759 - mabilis siya!!

mukhang ok kasi yung ikaw magdedesign ng sarili mong plan at wala syang contract. sounds a little good to be true though. iniisip ko yung coverage kasi a lot of times, i work at the edge of perth metro na. borderline regional areas na like yanchep or pinjarra. useless din kung pangit ang coverage.
