Hi! My friend who's processing his 189 visa application (nasa skills assessment stage siya ngayon), received his employment assessment today saying that his SGV EXTERNAL AUDIT experience is not credited. Which I think is weird because we submitted the exact same documents. It's even stated in the COE that only CPAs are hired. Nominated skill nya is Accountant General.

Has anybody experienced this before? Sabi ko iappeal nya, malaki yung chance na maoverturn yung assessment, diba?

@vamdcpa it happened to me sa CPAA. So what i did is that I revised my coe pra yung wording same ng sa ANZSCODE ng General Accountant. I asked my friend in Brisbane what could be the cause and she said na they are very sensitive on the wordings example, they dont recognize General Accountant task a word bookkeeping. For them its not strong enough to make it like that. Yung iba ng appeal. I tried to call them and file for appeal and di ako pinayagan so I opted to revise my coe and apply for another skills assessment sa IPA.

@aisleandrow Thanks for the info. Bakit naman ganun, di ka nila pinayagan magappeal. How long did your IPA assessment take?

@vamdcpa mabagal si IPA 8 weeks ang qualification assessment at 8 weeks din ang skills. Hindi pwede na sa CPAA yung qualification at skills lang ang sa IPA. Ang mas matindi mgkaiba ang bayad di katulad ng CPAA isa lang ang bayad.

@batman Hello po, tanong ko lang po dun sa CPAA assessment. Ang sabi dun sa result, "Your Bachelor of Science in Accountancy is assessed as comparable to an Australian Bachelor degree. We also acknowledge your Board of Accouncy CPA Examination with Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants."

Kelangan ko ba ipa-amend yung result at tanggalin yung PICPA? Thank you po!

If I were you, no need. Importante jan eh un "Your Bachelor of Science in Accountancy is assessed as comparable to an Australian Bachelor degree." statements. Magrerely na jan ung DIBP. sa kanila kasi ang nagbibigay ng exams ung Acctg organisation mismo like CAANZ, CPAA and IPA (not sure dito).

@jadestone wlang consistency ang assessement result ng CPAA. Yung akin kasi iba, PRC ang binanggit hindi PICPA.

Im not sure kong may effect ba yan. But I agree with vhoytoy its not a major issue. in the end bachelor degree holder ka at CPA ka as pre CPA Australia assessment.

@vhoythoy @batman Ok salamat po. Actually, yan yung amended wordings nila kasi originally wala yung Board of Accountancy. Tas inemail ko saying na BOA ang nagbigay ng exam. Nilagay nga yung BOA pero sinama pa din yung PICPA. Anyway, hopefully nga po hindi sya issue sa DIPB. Salamat po uli.

@jadestone ganyan din po yung akin...picpa ang nakalagay. Hinayaan ko na lang po. Hopefully hindi na big deal yun.

@jadestone gaano katagal yung result ng assessment mo.Wala pa kasi yung sakin.

morning all! ask ko lan, once macomplete na yun online form need na pay to CPAA right? then they will ask for the required documents? scan ko lan mga docs ko to them correct? or do I need na pacertify first? naconfuse lan. pa-advise naman thanks!

@pcasing may specific size and format din po yung pagscan ng documents as well as filename. Nasa website lang po ng CPAA. Certify lang po yung documents na hindi colored or photocopies. Pero original documents no need.

Sino po ba naghihintay ng invite dito? Naghahanap lang ng karamay. Haha

hi hindi pa ako nagtuloy kasi 65 lang din ang score ko and labo pa mainvite except kung abot ng 8 result ng ielts ko.

Question ,magkaiba ba yung skill select pag nag aply ng 190 visa and pag nagsubmit ng EOI?

Same lang yan @pikachu13 If magsusubmit ka ng EOI you choose kung 189 or 190 or both ang aapplyan mo.

Mabilis lang CPAA, kadalasan within 15 working days

Nainvite na @Xiaomau82 but may nanotice ako na mali sa EOI ko. Yan nga dilemma ko now. Yung assessment date na nakalagay sa EOI ko is yung date of submission ko instead of date na nareceive ko ang result. Haaay... Magmamatter kaya yun? Sayang din kasi yung time if gagawa pa ako ng bagong EOI.

@vhoythoy hello! tanong ko lang about sa skilled employment assessment ng CPAA. Yung 5 yrs of experience ko sa current employer "is found to equate to work at an appropriately skilled level as Accountant. Pro yung dalawang previous employment ko which is about 2.5 years e negative ang assessment.

Do u think it's best na hindi ko na ideclare sa EOI yung 2.5 years of work experience? Thank you for any feedback.
