    hi friends!

may tanong po sana ako...isa ksi sa requirements sa skillselect (visa 189) ang "have a suitable skills assessment for that occupation".

Wow, iba pala ang skilled employment assessment for IPA... Well, it is not necessary because at the end of the day it will be DIAC who will determine how many points you will get as far as work experience is concerned.

Reply to @budz_pinoy: You need to have both the assessments from IPA as this is mandatory for 189 visa. But IPA can only proceed with your skills assessment once you have passed qualifications assessment....May separate form sila sa qualification assessment and skills assessment so pede mo na syang ipadala at the same time....
Sa IPA din kase ako nagpa-assess and nareceive ko result last 3rd of July...Skills assessment is the same with work experience assessment, based on your COE or experience letter, they will assess your experience to be at an appropriate skilled level as an Accountant..DIAC will refer on this when awarding points under skilled migration points test...

Hope this helps..Let me know if you need further info...

Reply to @jumarie: also here in Saudi. ang una mo gawin ay pag collect ng mga necessary documents mo. check m ang mga sites ng mga assessing authority sa mga accountants. IPA/NIA/CPAA/ICAA. then from there malalaman mo na kung ano ang ang mga dapat mo i-prepare.

wifey has just gotten results of her ielts taken last aug 4 - we managed to get 10pts, sumabit sa writing and speaking.

it is her second time to get this as the first one we took last year was general! true na mahirap daw talaga ang writing and reading part compared to general! :) sa speaking minalas lang, ehehehe!

we would have wanted 20pts sana para mas maraming bala when we lodge the EOI but blessing na rin ito.

next step, pass the CPAA assessment!! ehehehe... from the posts, marami sumabit sa accounting theory subject - sana yung course na theory of accounts papasa nito! :)

    happy weekend everyone!!

Isn't Theory of Accounts the same as Accounting Theory?

The core knowledge areas in CPAA is more in line with the subjects that were taught whilst my wife was in university. So hopefully, things will be okey...

Reply to @psychoboy: Both. I graduated from UST, Sa ICAA they required me to take up Aus tax and laws as uni equivalent before undertaking the CA program. sa CPAA, deemed completed na ang foundation level (almost similar to uni) plus full exemption to the 2-3 years practical experience requirement, and im free to start the CPA program. but again, for migration purpose lang yan ha, despite that, pahirapan pa rin maghanap ng work rto seriously.

@Sushigurl Out of topic, gusto ko lng sna malaman how you managed to be exempted from the 3 year practical experience requirement from CPA program, is it because you worked in those companies they provide exemption?

Thanks much. Looking forward to your reply.

@dreambig its more on work experience, as i had more than 15 years accounting work experiences in Ph and as an OFW before i migrated to Sydney. Actually Im not aware of it myself at the time i submitted my assessment. Ang CPA Australia mismo ang nag-inform sakin, they called me up and send me an email saying im qualified to be exempted and require me to submit further documents.
Btw, at the time of submission pla e natapos ko na yung Aus taxation module.
