    @marlonrizza university of newcastle didn't asked me for proof of funds. under 573 din ako. there's other more universities na hindi na humihingi. :)

    @janine0511 ...you can always buy an adaptor here from Chinese stores....then with regard to the provider...at times you need to check the quality of the service as well.....but for me and my wife, we have been using vodafone since 2010 when we arrived here....(i'm not paid by vodafone hehe).....

    Hello mga kapatid. Been reading all your thoughts and suggestions re Student Visa. Tanong ko lang po, nag apply po kasi kami ng wife ko, ako primary applicant, VET subclass 572, may coe and medical na. And nag lodge na rin ng visa app sa VIA, tumawag na rin embasssy for interview. Sajuly 10, 2014 na orientation and enrolment(The HIlls College – Baulkham Hills College, Sydney). Ang kaso wala pa po ako updates/message from the Embassy. Nag usap kami wife ko na hintayin namin result til end of June kasi mahirap naman paspasan po ang preparation namin sakali magrant visa ng July. Pwede po kaya ipostpone or baguhin yung date ng pasok, then gawin po next year pinaka maagang intake na lang po(february 2015 po yata ang pinaka maaga) ? Thank you po sa inyo :)

    1st yong sabi mo na to postpone yong intaek...after all it's up to you kasi ikaw naman yong student.....hindi ka babawalan ng school niyan...your other option would be to communicate with the said school and present your case then ask for an extension for your class commencement..si wifey bro late siya ng 2 weeks sa school niya at the start of her course her last 2010....good luck and pray hard...

    Yes kuya Dan, at tiwala ako kay Lord sa mga plans Niya. Nag reply rin yung school re sa pag defer ko sa pagpasok ko this coming July 10. Update ko lang daw sila and file lang ako ng postponement. Kaso kuya Dan yung sa embassy naman, okay lang ba na ipostpone ko, hindi ba maapektuhan yung pag grant nila sakin ng visa? And pwede kaya for exmple Feb "2015" na ang pasok ko pero punta na ako Sydney ng mga October "2014"? or basta yung months pa bago commencement ko po? Thanks! God bless you and your wife.

    @markier87 - okay naman ang flow ng tao sa NHSI. Open sila from 8:00 a.m and have clinics on Saturdays. Nagmedical na kami last Saturday, mababait naman sila dun.

    Ang pinag pe pray namin is sana po tuloy-tuloy na itong visa approval namin. After a series of delays caused by the turnover of Aus visa processing center to VFS, parang sumasakit na ulo ko sa inefficiencies nila. Anybody here who's experienced the same?

    Thanks @Newleaf2014 yes we also had our medicals last June27 sa NHSI. Okay naman. We are also in the process of lodging our visa na, ngayon pa talaga ngincrease at ngkaroon ng changes huhu pero tiwala pa rin kami. God will make a way. :)

    @Newleaf2014 ...helped by her background in pinas (degree in accountancy and 5 years experience in accounting field), she was able to cope with the demands of her studies in spite of her late inclusion into the course.....HD (high distinction) pa nga ang grades niya hehe....mas nahihirapan yong mga kaklase niya na walang accounting backgrounds....

    What i know of is free ang processing if the school that you intend to study is their partner institution, otherwise, 10,000 pesos and fee nila for visa processing assistance. You can call them to book an appointment for free consultation or live chat mon-fri 1pm-4:30pm, vist their site philippines.idp.com.

    @Newleaf2014 ..hehe...pareho pala kau ng wifey ko...makukuha nyo yang visa nyo....always pray hard to Him Above and then double check, triple check sa checklist para walang makakaligtaan o mamiss na steps or details.....buti nga kayo at hindi na sila masyado strikto ngayon sa student visa dahil nga dumaan sila ng masyadong ibinaba ng revenue nila sa international students kaya lie low na naman sila sa pagtanggap ng mga students dito....kita mo ang dami mga bagong students dito ngayon...next niyan kayo na naman hehe.....kitakits tayo dito one of dis days......

    20 Jan 2014 - Received 1st offer letter from Curtin
    2 March 2014 - deferred offer from Curtin U to August 2014
    April 2014 - paid tuition fee; submitted financials doc
    May 2014 - paid OSHC (Allianz)
    May 2014 - Cert of placement for kids in WA Educ Dept (free for masteral and doctoral students)
    16 June 2014 - Aus embassy visa app via Australia Bright
    26 June 2014 - Aus Embassy acknowledgement of visa app
    28 June 2014 - NHSI medical exam; results uploaded 3 July
    28 July 2014 - Notice of medicals referred
    Aug 2014 - Health clearance received; requested for deferred enrollment to Jan 2015 due to lack of visa decision
    23 Oct - Visa grant!!!

    Hi po question sa carry on luggage. Pwede b dalhin both ang handbag and laptop w/ bag or kelangan isa lng? Di ba counted yung laptop kung may carry on luggage ako at handbag? Yung chargers ba di naman kelangan ilabas?electronics/gadgets lng?
