Hello all! I got a positive cpaa skill assessment!!! Thanks for your help esp to @vhoythoy and @buzzy :) Is it correct that I can now proceed with the eoi? Or should I wait for a positive skilled employment assessment first? CPAA is still asking for a statutory declaration with list of work duties..

@gms I think in order to claim points for visa 189, you would need the skilled epmloyment assessment from CPAA.

Hi, new member here. I am just starting to collate my docs. May I ask for those who submitted their PRC ID, do I need to change name pa since yung maiden name ko pa nakalagay sa ID ko? Sobrang tagal lang kasi ng process, if mag-change name pa ako. Or can i just renew my card as it is? Thanks.

Anyone here who has had their education assessed by ICAA? Did you submit a letter of good standing from PICPA? Or the CPA Certificate and exams results would suffice. Thanks!

@vhoythoy hi I am just new here I am accountant also from PUP but not CPA. My situation is getting married to a Australian foreigner this year and we have baby already.I am still here in Philippines currently working as a financial assistant. My question is kailangan ko pa din bang magpassess s ICAA for my education and work experience while im here or dyan na lang pgdating ko (not yet processing my subclass309/100 visa).Or madali na skin ung process dahil may australian hubby nme? I am not sure and curious lang po. Sna may makatulong s inquiry ko kasi wala pme nababasa ng same situation ko. Thanks
If you can get a spouse visa then there is no need for you to do skills assessment from ICAA - you can work I believe on spouse visa alone, provided you can get someone to hire you.

hello all! im a CPA and ang work experience ko is 2 yrs audit and 4yrs financial reporting. Visa 189 granted na ako with my husband as principal applicant and about to go to NSW this july. Ang question ko is this: do i still need to get my skills assessed by CPAA/ICAA in order to pursue an accounting career in au? 6 kasi ang writing ko sa ielts kaya hindi pa ako makapagpush sa assessment..and if i need to be assessed, kelangan ko magretake..

Nope... Getting a work here, skills assessment are not needed - sa immigration lang ito.
