hello @anneoz08! wow! kelan ka punta dun at anong state? plan ko maghanap muna temporary work dun while processing assessment ng ICAA or CPAA, pero kulang pa ako ng info to decide which one..I have been jobhunting na din via SEEK baka sakaling makakuha ng interview schedule before makarating..

Graduate ako 2002 pa hahaha medyo mabubuking ang edad ko nito... Ikaw kelan? Yup nakapasa ako ng board exam... Good to know may ka-alumni ako. Nakita ko may hubby ka na Aussie. Kelan ka punta Australia at san ka magbe-base?

@kate26 meron naman sila syllabus, dun ka sa college office natin pumunta. Parang nagki-keep talaga sila kase normal na lang yata yung may nanghihingi ng syllabus. May babayaran ka lang pero di naman ganun kalaki saka wait ka ng konti (same day nakuha ko yung akin). Tama, asikasuhin mo na yang mga academic credentials kase once na andito ka na sa Australia mahihirapan ka na.
Akala ko sa Melbourne ka, pwede sana tayo magkita. Hehhehe.
Basta naman di ka mapili sa trabaho may mahahanap ka dito.
Naka 457 lang ako. Naghihintay pa ko skills assessment results.

sorry po sa lahat, sarado na po ang accountant for this financial year. ang minimum score na nagqualify e 65pts. ito po ung link...

@CPAofOz - not really, demand is a strong word to use... i have a lot of friends here accountant who have a hard time finding work that is really accounting...

when you move here, kailangan prepared emotionally and financially. good luck!

Share ko lang po para sa mga nagbabalak magpa-assess ng skills. Kakareceive ko lang ng skills and employment assessment ko this morning, suitable naman daw. Sa ICAA ako nagpa-assess, complete requirements were submitted on 22nd April. Bale 4 weeks and 2 days sya natapos.

Medyo nanghihinayang lang kase feeling ko na-late ako ng ilang oras lang sa draw. Feeling ko papasok sana ko. Hahaha!

Hello @TasBurrfoot and sa iba pang nasa oz na..since naghahanap ako ng work currently, baka pwede po magtanong kung sang field kaya may chances ang mga filipino CPAs na magstart pa lang sa oz at hindi pa enrolled sa CA/CPA program?

Good morning.
I'm new here and read the posts.
Tanong ko lang po, kasi i graduated this 2012 (accountancy). but prior to that, i work as an accounting assistant because may acctg firm ang tita ko. i am not a cpa but, now holds the title as accountant. magagamit ko ba yung work exp ko from 2006 hanggang makagraduate ako? tumagal ako sa school because sa gabi lang yung kinuha kong mga subjects.
Salamat and i am planning to take ielts.

@mabelle, i dont think the assessing body will credit your work exp prior you getting your degree. they have a strict guidelines when it comes to work exp bec that determines the points that you will use for skillselect. but of course, what you can do is to call or email them and ask if thats possible. after all, they have the final say.

announced changes to the requirements for skills assessment to apply from 1 July 2015.

@batman They will tighten the criteria on core knowledges and rebrand it as compentency areas. Take ka na ng english exam! Try PTE Academic! Much friendlier than IELTS!
