Hello!

I have been lurking on this site for a couple of months na po, and I want to thank you all for the informative posts here.
I just have a couple of questions

I am an ECE graduate (Licensed Electronics Engineer) but I am currently a windows system admin (2 yrs) at an Australian company but I am based here in Manila - is it possible to get points sa ACS? Here are my previous jobs:

IT Support Staff (Mainly Windows system admin and desktop support) - 1 yr 8 months
MAMS support staff (More on database/storage admin - linux based) - 1 yr
Service Desk Sprecialist (Linux) - 1yr

Also, pano po ung sa bachelor's degree? I am from a section 2 school but I can take microsoft certifications as well, will I get 15 points just based on my ECE degree?

Also, will there be any bearing kasi my Aussie boss wants to make a recommendation for me to help me out on my application.

Hello po, 4yrs software tester po work experience ko.. mas ok po ba if mgapply nalang ako ng Software Engineer, instead na Software Tester kahit na wala akong experience as a software engr? Thanks in advance po!

Hi po, I'm currently in the process of gathering all the requirements needed for ACS assessment. Baka po may masasuggest kayo kung saan pwede magpatranslate ng TOR? and okay lang po ba na black and white yung photocopy ng mga documents? Thank you po.

@saleeeii why would you need your TOR translated? Diba pag Phil schools naman lagi in English yung nasa TOR? pwede naman yung black & white ppa certified true copy mu naman yun.

@britella pag ok na assessment mo and ielts. You can submit your EOI dpat at least 60 pts ka..for now asikasuhin mo na docs mo for assessment sa ACS.dun natatagalan ung iba dhil sa coe

@guenb May mga subjects po kasi na tagalog pero mga minor subjects lang naman yun. Not sure kung ok lang magsubmit sa ACS ng ganun.

Got my result, wohooo! AQF Bachelor Degree with major in computing! 2 years lang binawas nila kaya sakto lang din sa computation kong years of experience para sa points credit

@mariem, just to update you, hindi na ko hiningan ng ibang docs ni ACS. That is, no need to have university/college CTC'd qualification documents CTC'd again by notary public/lawyer.

mga ka ACS, ask ko lang, may naka try naba dito na nagpasa sa DIBP pero na consider pa rin yung minus 2 years ng ACS? Like example, 3y exp total pero dahil minus 2 years ni ACS eh 1 year exp nalang, pero pag pasa sa DIBP eh 3y exp pa rin ang binigay, so nakuha ang 5points as experience.

May history naba dito na ganyan ang nangyare?

@warquezho I don't think so since sa guidelines ng ACS:

All relevant work experience completed after the Skill Level Requirement Met Date will be considered Skilled Employment and eligible for points under the skilled migration points test.
The work experience required to meet the suitability criteria is NOT included as Skilled Employment and is NOT eligible for points under the skilled migration points test.

2009 - 2011 = 2 year ladderized bachelors degree in management

Work Experience
March 2011 - Jun 2012 = Admin Assistant (Office works)
July 2012 - Sep 2014 = Java Developer
Oct 2014 - Present = Java Developer.

Total Developer Experience : 3 years and 2 months/

Eto po credentials ko and i would like you guys to assess me if I can pass for an ACS certification.

Ano po ba yung PTE? may IELTS na kasi ako dati pa ok naman score kaya yun ang balak kong gamitin. Required ba yung PTE o option lang sya sa IELTS?

@cowninja, Its just same with IELTS, PTE grading is much more lenient than IELTS, plus its computer based. I would prefer PTE to make things easier.

Guys, Hingi lang ako ng payo uli, Indi ko na makita ung TOR ko and Diploma lang ang nakita ko, Naglipat kasi kame ng house, pero humingi ako ng scan copy ng company ng TOR ko. Pede ko kaya un na lang ang pa CTC ko and pano kayo nag pa CTC as in ung original copy ung binigay nyo and pano ginagawa nila para ma CTC ung docs? Thanks guys

Chapter 4 - SUITABILITY CRITERIA

I think I fall in:

Bachelor Degree or Higher with an ICT Minor
 If your degree is assessed as having an ICT minor which is closely related to your nominated
occupation, you will require 5 years relevant work experience completed in the past 10 years
or 6 years relevant work experience completed anytime in your past work history (whichever
provides the earliest skill date) to meet the suitability criteria.
 If your degree is assessed as having an ICT minor which is NOT closely related to your
nominated occupation, you will require 6 years relevant work experience completed anytime in
your past work history to meet the suitability criteria.

I just didnt wanna believe this kasi it says that I must have 5 years of IT experience. Thats a long wait for me. I think Im an ICT Minor since I took a ladderized degree in management.

Is my understanding of this correct? I wanna know your 2 cents.

hello! in relation to this..nag browse through ako sa visa 189 document checklist and sabi need daw ng "Scanned colour copies" for the birth and marriage certificates..nung pina-ctc namin ung mga nso certificates, photocopied in black and white pero ung stamp ng certifying officer was in blue ink..so when scanned, b&w ung certs w/ blue stamp..considered ba ito na "Scanned colour copies"? tinanggap naman sa ACS nung nagpaassess kmi..or kailangan ipa-ctc namin ulit and make sure na ung pag-photocopy is coloured?

may nag lodge na ba sa inyo na b&w ung ctc docs uploaded?

@kittykitkat18 yup, nagtanong na ako sa school kelangan pa ng affidavit of loss, letter of request and punta pa sa school, ok lang naman pumunta dun pero check ko lang kung pede para less hasstle compare sa scan docs sa company hehe..
