Thanks k_mavs and lock_code2004..nabasa ko lang kasi sa ibang post.. Meron ba kayo Do's and Dont's sa preparation ng CDR? nasa 3rd CDR na ko pero for review pa ulit para sure

@davos_uno - sinunod ko lang ng mabuti ung CDR guidelines sa EA.. just make sure na ma-state mo na mabuti ang lahat ng components/evidences na hinahanap nila..

Sir Lock_COde Do you have any copy of CDR that i can use as reference and guide to prepare my own.newbie lang po ako dito,im anticipating na sa cdr ako medyo anxious thats why im gathering as much as info about this matter..

Reply to @glaiza1210: Technically wala pa, pero mga 90% it will be Civil Engineer, Im still preparing for IELTS.Currently i work as QS for about a year here in Abu Dhabi, but previously i was in Dubai worked as Civil Engineer for about 4.5 years.Mai nabasa ako sa ANZSCO na part of the group occupation for Civil Engineer is QS so im assuming na it will be better if Civil Engineer and besides Civil Engineer ang Degree and PRC certification ko plus much years of experience.

Reply to @davos_uno: Ang maa-advise ko lang, always use "I" sa duties and responsibilities mo: like "I manage", "I design", "I administer", "I plan", etc. Try to avoid as much as possible yung mga "was involved", "assisted", "helped", "participated". Ang tinitingnan daw kase ng EI ay yung capability and skills mo as an (individual) Engineer. Hope this helps

Reply to @ryannimizm_24: almost the same situation po tayo, I am working as a QS (also in Dubai & Abu Dhabi) pero Civil Engineer ang nominated occupation ko. Parang mas madali and mabilis sya kaysa magpa-assess sa AIQS - which I believe would require you to have further studies in Quantity Surveying.

SA CDR preparation nmn, you have to discuss three career episode; three positions you've hadled or three projects you've handled na related sa nominated occupation mo. Very detailed yung CDR ikukuwento mo yung mga ginagawa mo sa postion na yun or sa project or anong participation mo na very detailed. Parang gumagawa ka ng thesis, Then meron summary statement dun na may mga categories na lolocate or iapply mo yung mga ginagawa sa basic engineering foundation, methods etc....pdeng different positions or projects in one company, or different positions or projects in different companies. You have to select the best three na maproprove mo na related yung work experience mo sa degree mo and nominated occupation mo. dapat yung ididscuss mo is yung ginagawa mo hindi yung ginagawa ng group or team mo, dpat yung mismong ikaw lang kaya laging use "I" never use "We". kaya 3 episodes yan kse EA is giving you 3 chances, yung first episode pag hindi na satisfy si EA, they evaluate the second one, if hindi pa din ok the 3rd one. Pag satisfied na sila agad sa first one brobrowse nlang nila yung 2nd and 3rd. Kaya sa first career episode plang make it best na...Irelate mo din yung mga trainings that you've attended, how did you apply it and even your major subject in Civil Engineering. Just use simply words and another thing dpat yung 3 positions na ididiscuss mo is meron kang detailed COE from the company.

question po,. about career episodes, i have read dito na pwede ilagay ang thesis natin.. yung nominated occupation ko po kasi is structural engineer, pero yung thesis ko ay water engineering and management ang topic.. so does that mean wag ko na yun isama sa career episode ko? TIA

yes sir tama ka, parang sa AIQS medyo complicated so i just skip on it, and building my strategy sa CE.And if you dont mind baka mai naitatabi pa kaung copy ng cdr since we are almost on the same field i believe it will be very helpfull sa paggawa ko ng cdr.Heres my personal mail: [email protected] just incase meron pa po kau..

Marami na po bang cases na nagrereject ang EA? Sa totoo lang po di ko talaga alam kung paano ko sisimulan ang CDR ko. Nakakaencounter nman po ako ng problems in my field and then nasosolve naman po ko naman po or namin, but most po nun ay karaniwan lang. Pano ko po yun mai-shashare sa CRD ko? Pasensya na mababalaw yata yung query ko, hoping someone will answer

Reply to @Captain_A: pde kung related sya sa work experiences mo, CDR kse is the tool for EA to assess your capability on your nominated occupation or minsan EA will nominate you to a different occupation based pa din sa work experiences mo.

@Nico_AU_Dream , yep pde inominate ni EA yung Engineering Tech or Associate, sila kse nagdedecide kung ano yung suited na occuaption based on your experience and comparable sa job description ng isang engineer sa australia. With regards sa mga cases na narereject ng EA, konti lang daw or wala halos kse EA will give a chance to prove it. Kung nagpasa ka ng CDR then hindi sila satisfied they will inform you, they let you make some revisions on your CDR, may mga questions sila about this episode....Pero kung hindi tlga comparable yung work experiences mo sa nominated occupation dun suguro tlga marereject.

@Nico_AU_Dream: wala ba kayong mga special projects sa work mo na involved ka?.. start ka na maglist ng mga ginagawa mo na pwede mo idocument as CDR.. sympre dapat it will demonstrate ung mga skills na nasa occupation mo..

Plus it will reflect ung mga statement dun sa summary statement form ng EA...
Start reading the job description ng occupation mo sa ANZSCO code..

Reply to @Nico_AU_Dream: Pde mong idiscuss yung mga positions that you've handled. Idiscuss mo yung usual na problems na eencounter mo at yung ginawa mong solutions. Paano mo nahandle, ano mga engineering techniques, methods, process na ginamit mo. YUng mga trainings mo paano mo na apply dun sa work mo. Iapply mo yung mga engineering subjects mo, yung major subject nung engineering course mo etc....Kahit mag start ka muna ng isang career episode then review it lagi kseng advise ng agent ko when I'm doing the CDR before dpat kahit may isang lang na the best tlga as in masasabi mo na yun ang pambato mo. hehehe....then yung dalawa add on nlang. Ganun ginawa ko yung first episode tlga ang the best na ginawa ko, kse applicable yung pagiging IE ko pero yung dalawang episode ok din nmn kso parang ang babaw din lang nung dalawa. Nagwoworry nga ako nun kse bka hindi ma approve ng EA. Kayang kaya mo yan! Mahirap lang tlga at first, pero pag nasimulan mo na tuloy tuloy na yan. Minsan ang dami mong naiisip na dpat ilagay kso limited lang. Try to create a draft himayin mo yung mga personal activity mo mo then choose...yung skin nung 2-3 months kong ginawa...

Reply to @aijayann: normally ung IELTS result is sent directly from the testing center to EA..
so if you did not request this to be sent to EA, i guess hindi nmn yun i sesend ng IELTS testing center..

are you retaking the IELTS to get a higher score for DIAC points?

Hello friends,
1st time ko magpost dito. Can you provide an advise regarding certifications. Based on Engineers Australia, kelangan macertified true copy ang mga credentials. One problem is ako ay OFW dito sa middle east. What will I do to certify my credentials produced in the Philippines and here in mid east. Pwede ko bang ipa notarized lahat ng credentials dito sa Philippine Embassy para i-accept ng Engineers australia. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

yes.. embassy can do it.. but i believe mas mahal ang cost..

Reply to @lock_code2004: Kumustaness po? Yun bang red ribbon docs natin eh passable as certified true copy? Kerek, pwede sa embassy pero mas mahal sya. May kilala ako na uuwi sa Pinas at balak ko na dun na lang magpa notarized makikisuyo ako, pero db need ang orig docs? I can produce an authorization letter pero I am not really sure kung maipapadala ko ang mga orig docs ko..
