@bebangau You can request for the bank manager to assist you in sending dollar payments to AU. In my case, sa BDO, since we didn't have a dollar account, the bank manager suggested to buy dollars from the "black market." Just ask - they have connections.

@kymme ... oo nga daw, pumunta ako kanina sa makati nagtanong ako

need ko mag paassess ng mga docs para at least mabawasan ang 3 years ng nursing
hindi kaya kapag 3 years hehe

pero yung computation ng funds is more or less 1.5m ata including tuition, cost of living and airfare

what if ito lng pera ko .. kaya bang tapusin in case na 2 years lng ang nursing
kasi sabi sa mga nababasa ko yung part time job kayang i cover ang dailty expenses and unlimited hours naman kapag breaks ... tama po ba ?

@bluestar heloo! ask ko lang ulit. when you were refused because of gte, how long did it take you to reapply? and sa re-application mo, same course and same school ka pa din ba? Na-interview ka pa ba ulit sa re-application mo? thanks!

Guys next Monday na ang intake ko (Feb1) Until now wala pa din news about my visa. Kinakabahan talaga ako na baka di na ako umabot. Wala pa din interview or anything from embassy.

@MichiDC Sis!!! Lumabas na visa grant ko just now. No interview. Kakatawag lang ng agent ko less than an hour ago and kakaforward lang nila ng email from the embassy. Waaa... super thankful ako. Napakapowerful talaga ng prayers. I'm praying for those waiting for their visa decisions. Goodluck po sainyong lahat!

10/26/2015 - received offer letter for Diploma of Photoimaging
11/25/2015 - acceptance of offer and paid tuition fee
11/30/2015 - received CoE
12/4/2015 - submitted all the requirements to Fortrust Makati
12/11/2015 - received acknowledgement letter from the Embassy
1/25/2016 - received Visa Grant from my CO Marinella

2/1/2016 - first day of classes

To all those waiting for their visa grants, keep on praying. I'm not a very religious person and I don't pray at all. This is the first time ever that I really wanted something so bad kaya sinubukan ko and I must say, hindi lang siya effective, nakakagaan ng pakiramdam ang prayers. I go to church everyday and say my novena prayers to St.Jude. Goodluck po!

if we will base it on their list of approved sponsors, it is sad to note that your bf (in spite of his being an Australian citizen) is not on the list of approved individuals to sponsor any student visa applicant to Australia....

@markjohn haha yes. Bachelor of nursing kunin ko sa CDU. Initially 3yrs offer nla saken but then nagapply ako for credit exemption so yun, 2yrs na lang xa.

The Assessment Level (AL) of the student determines how much funds need to be shown, who can provide these funds and how long these funds must be held. In order for the funds to be admissible they need to be held by an acceptable individual one who qualifies as someone whose income can provide for the visa applicant's education and living expenses.

An acceptable individual; can be one or more of the following:

(a) the applicant;
(b) the applicant's spouse or de-facto partner;
(c) a parent of the applicant;
(d) a grandparent of the applicant;
(e) a brother or sister of the applicant;

(f) an uncle or aunt of the applicant who is:
(i) an Australian citizen, an Australian permanent resident or an eligible New Zealand citizen; and
(ii) usually resident in Australia.

if tingnan mo yan, ang nakalagay dyan ay de-facto partner.....so if nagsasama na kau ng bf mo then yes ang sagot sa tanong mo but if magbf kayo but you are not living in one roof, then he is not qualify to be your sponsor. And yes you are right, better consult a migration agent on this matter for he can explain to you further if ok ba or hindi ang bf mo magiging sponsor mo. Good luck and keep us updated.
