@mykaelangelo05 hindi eh, yung migration agent ng employer ko nag lodge, binigay ko lang scanned copies ng lahat ng needed na documents.

@newboy ah yeah pwede ung certificate from school, kaso 4 year course lang yung akin sa UST e, kaya no choice kungdi mag IELTS. Good for you d mo na kelangan un, almost 10k din yung test. Yung medical nasa 6k+ na yata sa St. Lukes.

@johnadrielle_santos yes, days after I got my visa, I lodged their visa na. Here's our timeline;

20141118 - Application Lodged
20141206 - Request for Medical
20141208 - Medical Done at St. Lukes
20141212 - Medical Uploaded to DIAC
20150204 - Visa Grant
20150206 - Lodge Dependent Visa (Two Minor - Single Parent)
20150219 - Requested for Updated Form 1229
20150224 - Provided Court Order in Lieu of Form 1229
20150301 - Dependents Visa grant
20150317 - Touchdown NSW

Cost - 1295 AUD for both my kids - breakdown as shown below:
UC457 Temporary Work(Skilled) - 1,035.00AUD
Additional Applicatn Charge U18 - 260.00AUD
*total charge sa debit card ko is 46241.21 this i believe is the current day exchange rate and inclusive of the foreign transaction charge.
Medical 3K++PHP St. Lukes - sorry can't remember exact cost.
Out pa dito yung cost to obtain court order sa case ko. I dont think you'll be needing that.

Also, I have to add them to my health insurance as part of their visa requirements.

@aanover hi po, just noticed na you filed a visa for your 2 kids bilang single parent. Ask ko lang po if kelangan pa ba ng written consent ng other parent if hindi naman kasal and hindi sha kasama? Thanks!

HI @Moxie, it actually depends. Is/Are your kid(s) named after their father? In our case, we are not married, but my kids are acknowledged - they are using their father's last name. Even though the PH law clearly states that (legal term)illegitimate children are under sole parental authority of the mother, since they were acknowledged, Immigration thinks that the father has custody rights over them hence I was asked for Form 1229.

So if they are named after their father, you may need to provide immi with Form 1229. In our case, when I lodged their visa, my form 1229 is kinda outdated since I've secured it right after we've separated (which was two years ago from the time of lodgement) Sadly, the father wasn't cooperative to provide me with an updated one along with a passport photo page. So I had resulted in engaging legal to do some government stuffs.. DM me should you have more questions..

Yung medical nasa 6k+ na yata sa St. Lukes.

@Moxie for 457 visa, you will only be required to do the x-ray.

so mga 1.5KPHP ata. Same goes with the kids, they will just do the exam designated for temporary visits.

Also, make sure you have your baby book/kids vaccine history(updated) when moving here, you will need it when you send them to school. Which state ka po ba? Kasi for temporary residents like us, there's a public school access fee depending on state. In Syd, it's 5kAUD per school year per child.

@aanover we had our medical sa st. Lukes this last February. 6k+ na yung binayaran namin. Required na full medical ngayon sa 457 unlike before daw.

Thanks sa info about the kids. Single parent din ako and unmarried, both my kids are acknowledged ng father pero one uses my surname sa birth cert nya, and the other uses the father's. Baka dun na yata hingan ng form 1229. Si Australian DIBP na ba magprovide ng form na un?

@newboy Direct entry stream po ako. Since may positive skills assessment, three years relevant work experience and required IELTS score across all bands, di na po ako nagantay ng 2 years for transition. Fortunately, willing naman po si employer to nominate me kahit wala pang 2 years. I guess it will all boil down to your negotiation with your sponsor.

I just read a lot of stuff from 457, it seems parang mahirap magdala ng wife and daughter sa Sydney, school my bayad, unless PR ka talaga. anybody here started as a 457 with the family hanggang nagging PR?.

what's the ideal monthly salary should be to support 2yrs old daughter and wife in Sydney under 457?
