@vylette honestly, I still haven't found the answer on that. But what I do is compare the options to the passage and eliminate the wrong answer to the best of my understanding so I only have the 'possible' correct answer left

I agree, it is tricky since most of the options presented are partly correct which could be confusing. Anyways, most of the points in reading are from the fill-in the blank section.

Hi guys, first time ko nagtake ng pte last aug 23, unfortunately d ko nakuha ung score na needed ko.. Any advices how to improve my pronunciation? I just need advices.. Nagtry ako ng practice dn sa pte.com then laging 47 nakukuha ko.. So d ko alam san mahina ba boses ko, or anu problem

@sticky_note I always recommend Dylan Aung for writing. His template got me a perfect course for Written Discourse. Google his name and read through his blog. His essays for actual PTE essay topics are insightful, and you might even encounter some on your exam

@climbthemountain Yep, you just need to grasp the key points of the image/graph. So in most cases that would only be the lowest and highest figures. Just establish the trend of the amounts in between, like "other periods are notably moderate in fluctuation", etc. Then, conclude if time permits.

@Charmgeil0325 There are several YouTube vids that can help on your pronunciation. They even have mouth and tongue exercises so you can deliver words clearer than before. Remember you're graded by a software here, so enunciate!

Have you tried recording your voice? Better yet, have you tried a speech-to-text engine/app?

@michel_75 It converts your spoken text into words. Just to test if a software can recognize your pronunciation.

@Charmgeil0325 Others from this forum suggested talktyper.com. As for me, I used Evernote app on my Android. I heard there are also incredible apps for iOS. Just Google what would suit you

If you're using an iphone, download the "voice texting pro" app from itunes. I just did (a few minutes ago).

Hi everyone,

I've just found this thread by accident and found that you guys are very encouraging and supportive to each another here to achieve the PTE goal.
I have taken PTE-Academic 4 times for the last 6 months. I need 4 79s to apply for my PR.
Below are my latest results

07/05/2016: L 69 R 59 S 51 W 74
23/07/2016: L 69 R 70 S 52 W 85

I have not booked my next exam yet and planning to do it in 4 week time.

I am very struggling with speaking as you can see.
I might try @batman's tip for describing images and see how I will go.

And does anyone have any other tips for speaking especially retell lectures as I am very bad at it too. I find it quite hard to take notes while listening to the recordings (sometimes I have no clue what they are talking about), as the result, after 10 seconds, I tend not to be able to retell it smoothly and fluently.

@Charmgeil0325 for student visa to? What scores do you need? 55 or 65? What happened with your speaking? Which part is the hardest for you? In the describe image, were you able to speak for 40secs? Or were you not able to finish the entire 40 seconds?

@xiaolico hi, I need the score of 65 for aphra requirements. In speaking section, first the repeat sentence (i think i only answered 2 sentences that i think is correct), then describe image and retell lecture sometimes i exceeded to 40secs without noticing it. I really dont know what will i do for the next exam.

@Charmgeil0325 medyo malayo tayo sa 65. Was this your first take? I think maybe the format just surprised you. Did you use any review materials? I am pretty sure you can get higher scores on you next take. My friend had to take it three times before he got 65s. Let us know what preparation you did and what materials you studied
